Placed my order online to be ready at 6:28 PM. Got there at 6:28. Checked in with the cashier and stood back to wait for fries to cook. I noticed two wrapped sandwiches setting out on the counter by the lemonade machine. Other customers got their food including fries. Customers came in and placed orders. One customer was having difficulty with the credit card reader. They got her taken care of. More fries came up out of the fryer. More customers got their orders fresh off the grill and their fries. About 6:45 after everyone else had been served the cashier went over a picked up the two wrapped sandwiches stuck them in a bag, dumped some fries in the bag and called my name. I'm very disappointed that the manager was disengaged at the other end of the counter while I stood there for 15 minutes. When I approached to discuss the problem he made excuses, and asked how he could make it right. I didn't want to waste any more time there. This happened to me there once before, and I emailed the manager to let him know that there was a problem (same manager). That is not what I selected in their menu, but the woman at the counter was not willing to make it right. She refused to make the food and she refused to cancel the order and/or make reimburse me the $60.63 i charged to my debit card online. This establishment is not one I would recommend. The GM is one the rudest that I have ever encountered. My food had been made wrong on a door dash order one of the managers had told me to come by when ever I was in Plainfield . So when I was I stop by unfortunately it was made wrong again when I sat down I noticed it . My daughter took my sandwich up and complained. The clerk said it couldn't be made then the GM came over to fuss with me over the sandwich, it was made over but was the most awlful sandwich and still was made wrong . I hope i remember to never return here. I ordered online 15mins before arriving and my drive was 13mins. the timing was perfect. I walked in to the first register area no one said anything so i went to the next and waited. Another patron walked in 1min after. She was loudly and warmly greeted by a worker who was down at that end. A worker near me started helping me but was actually interrupted by that same first worker to ask to come down and help the other woman. You could clearly see she was in the middle of assisting me. It was so rude and blatant. If i wouldn't have already paid for my food online i would have left. I had to ask for mayonnaise packets twice. Love penn station! Quick fresh hot, or cold, sandwich customized for exactly how you like it. The bread is amazing! I personally have a favorite of the chicken teriyaki replacing Swiss with provolone cheese, mushrooms and extra teriaki..! Try the same ingredients with the cheese steak sandwich...the teriaki makes it so delicious! The fries are so good and the lemonade is crazy delicious! I just don't like that the lemonade is held hostage behind the counter. I guess people steal a lot of lemonade, I don't know. Lol This place is a go to for me, love it! read more

I like this Penn Station location better than a couple of others I've been to. The owner used to have the one on Rockville Road, and it was good then too. Last time I went to the Rockville Road location, it wasn't very good. So I was very happy to see that he moved to Plainfield! I am hooked on the Chicken Parm with onions and mushrooms. I have to get the fries because they just go together so well. Everything is always fresh and hot. I always ask for extra pizza sauce and they are happy to oblige and don't up charge for it. The sandwiches are on par with most sub sandwiches. The variety is not extravagant and I found trying to customize my sandwich was more of a chore than a customer oriented experience. The french fries were decent, the drinks are do it yourself and you pick your food up at the counter when they call your number. Just a little pricey for the basic heated sub sandwich. So I made a return visit with a coupon from the owner of this franchise due to the poor service from a previous visit. (at 7:40 the staff refused to take my order) I ordered two sandwiches two fries and two drinks and the cashier did not know how to enter the coupon into the cash register and when the manager came out, he in a very accusatory manner asked me "where did you get this from?" I told him I believe it was the owner, he said that's not the owner. I said OK so he took my voucher picked up the phone and started calling people and went into the back. So after 10 to 15 minutes he returned asked me to sign the document and put my phone number on it. I thought that was rather rude, perhaps he could've asked me quietly where I got the coupon. I also thought it was very inappropriate to ask for my phone number. Why did he need it. After we completed the transaction we received our food and proceeded to have dinner. The sandwich I received was literally less than half the meat than you would get at a hotdog vendor hotdog. Seriously a 9 inch sub for $8.49 without a doubt had less than a quarter pound of meat on it, my son had the chicken cordon bleu and it also had a very small meat portion. The whole thing was quite humorous in a way, being that I didn't have to pay for it and yet, it was a gesture to gain my business. That being said if I had paid the $31 for two sandwiches with almost no meat and it not being vegetarian order, I most certainly would never return to Penn station anyways. I'm not sure who is running the Penn station in Plainfield, but they will not have my business. I suggest if you're going to go to a Penn station avoid anything owned by the Chinski group, apparently they need to hire some decent managers, fire some people or quit representing Penn Station. read more

I love this location and restaurant regardless of my husband disliking it. The manager at this location used to work at the Rockville Road location when I was a teenager so walking in to this place gives you that familiar happy vibe, Atleast for me lol. I always get the Philly with onions, mushrooms, banana peps, mayo and mustard. Cooked to perfection with lots of grease I absolutely love this cheat day sandwich. On this occasion I got one of the chocolate chip cookies. They are thick like bread but with more butter to make it melt in your mouth. The lemonade is super yummy and freshly squeezed. My wife and I came to this Penn Station on National Lemonade Day. The employees were not very welcoming. We ordered our subs along with lemonades. After we paid we looked at our receipt and noticed that we were charged for our "free" lemonade. We asked about it (even before we got our food) and they told us we had to ask for it when we ordered.
