Half sandwich and salad combo 2

I'm going to venture that this is the best McAlister's in the surrounding Indianapolis area. We dropped in for an early dinner on Memorial Day and there was no wait. The young gentleman who took our order at the counter was efficient and helpful; we then headed over to fill our cups with their famous house-brewed tea. I love that they offer lemon wedges, as well! We sat down, and a kind gentleman brought us our food in no time. This man was very friendly, and checked on us frequently, removing our dishes when we finished and even offering to refill our teas. Our orders were fresh, nicely plated and tasted great. My giant veggie spud was enough for another meal the following day. Thanks, Plainfield McAlister's!

I decided to host a party for the IndyCar Season Opening Race this weekend so I needed to pickup some food. I choose McAlister's for one of my "sponsors." I've been to many a McAlister's but this was my first time at this location. I called in my order about three hours ahead of my pickup time to make sure to give them enough time to be ready for me. I went with their Classic Sandwich Tray. You order by the number of persons and they include a bag of chips for each person and the customary condiments for sandwiches. I arrived ten minutes before I was due to pick up and everything was ready and I had no issues checking out. The sandwiches were great. Everyone loved them. Sorry that I forgot to take a picture. There were four different kinds of bread, from croissants, to healthy grains, to traditional white bread. Same for the meats, from Butterball smoked turkey, Black Forest ham to Black Angus roast beef. Lots of variety.

There was pickles, salt, and pepper in the napkin dispenser at table 412. I am never coming back to this establishment, or the horrible state of Indiana. My food was cold and they totally forgot about my friend, who didn't get his food until 20 minutes after I got mine. The people sitting across the room from me were snorting salt. It was very off putting and disturbing, so I didn't finish my sandwich, which was colder than a witches titty. All in all, I would give it a .5/10. The only reason Mcalisters gets half a point is because their shitter was somewhat clean. This one didn't have a 12 incher in it.

I got the king club this was the best club I had ever eaten. It had some kind of sauce on it that really made it come together. And it was huge. My wife had the chipotle chicken griller she thought it was awesome. And she loved the potato soup. Great experience.

They have the best sweet tea.

Love this place for lunch or dinner. Today I tried the black cherry spinach salad with chicken dumpling soup. I really like the pick two option choice of soup, salad or half a sandwich. The sweet tea here is my favorite, it's not too sweet. The portions are decent for the price. I've done the call a head option and it's always ready before I get here. Anytime I'm remotely close I stop for a sweet tea, I'm addicted. Only down side is there's no drive thru.

We went down to Plainfield Indiana to check out a Del Webb community and decided to try out the McAlister's down the street from the new development. We have been to two different McAlister's in the western suburbs of Chicago. I found that the decor is very nice. The wait person was very nice and helpful. The decor was well laid out with a large screen television in the main section. The food is always good deli food. This place is well worth the visit as a deli.

McAlister's is THE place to go if you're an iced tea lover -- hands down. They have a whole bar dedicated to iced tea, for crying out loud. There is literally a woman standing behind a bar, and it is her job to ask you what kind of tea you want and then serve it to you. That's all she does. Tea. They like their tea here. I didn't get any tea this time (for shame). I did get the Southwestern Cobb salad, which came with grilled chicken breast, corn and poblano pepper relish, guacamole, cheddar-jack cheese, tomatoes and tortilla chips. Chipotle ranch dressing is served on the side. It was good and big and filling, but it wasn't as "Southwestern" as I thought it was going to be. Mostly it was just a whole lot of iceberg lettuce and a tiny portion of the other ingredients. This McAlister's is fairly new, so it's nice and well-kept. We visited on a Sunday around the time church lets out, and it was PACKED. Luckily, the people who work here are really fast at taking orders and getting the food served, because despite it being horrendously busy, we didn't have to wait long at all. There is a pleasant and large patio area with lots of shade and tables to sit at if you want to sit outside. We will probably do that next time.

Dirty patio with leftover food just sitting around attracting gnats....

The service was absolutely impeccable: attentive without hovering, warm without pretense, and delivered with the sort of genuine hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like an honored guest at an impossibly chic gathering. And then came the drinks. The pistachio latte was a masterpiece of balance and indulgence -- velvety, nutty, and luxuriously smooth, as though a pistachio grove had somehow been distilled into liquid silk. Each sip unfolded like a sonnet. The wildflower latte, meanwhile, was pure poetry in a cup. Delicately floral without being overpowering, it carried an almost ethereal sweetness, like spring itself had been persuaded to dissolve into espresso. It was whimsical, elegant, and astonishingly memorable. The Green Room Cafe has achieved what so many coffee shops aspire to but few truly accomplish: creating not just beverages, but an experience -- one steeped in artistry, comfort, and just the right amount of enchantment. A triumph. Five stars scarcely feels sufficient. Oh, and parking was mindlessly easy, the owner was present, the bathrooms impeccable, nursing mother's room near restrooms and high ceilings to dissipate the hum.

I love finding a coffee shop that has their own house made syrups. I tried the monthly special, Wildflower latte with an added espresso shot and sadly it just tasted like flavored milk. I want to be able to taste the espresso and decided to pivot to a cocktail instead. Their cocktails were well made and the presentation was perfect. While there isn't a large selection of liquors, they have the staples to make most go-to cocktails in addition to their monthly specials (both cocktail and mocktail options). The food is what really stands out and would bring me back. You are able to choose a salad, flatbread or sandwich and their creations are unique and delicious. I had the pesto, peas and goat cheese on flatbread and was pleasantly surprised to find I could order the flatbread as a half order for $9 instead of committing to a whole order. I will be back but the coffee still needs some work before it would be enticing enough to became my go to location. Overall, it's a fun spot with options for everyone and a great addition to the Plainfield area.

Every meal seems a little lacking and leaves you wanting a little bit more but the atmosphere and staff are nice which helps to balance the disappointment. We ordered the bruschetta as our appetizer, it was enjoyable but more olive forward than we were expecting. I ordered the arugula salad which did say it had spinach in it. However, it was a mainly spinach salad. I opted to add chicken to it and ask our waitress if the chicken was seasoned and worth the ad and she assured me that it was. Unfortunately it was not seasoned and it was very bland reminding me of the pre-packaged chicken pockets you can buy at Costco. Had I known I wouldn't have added it as it did not add anything to the salad. My friend really wanted the brussel sprout salad and apparently they did not have brussel sprouts so it was only romaine salad so she opted for a pasta dish instead. We appreciated our waitress giving us the heads up and confirming that she still wanted the salad with the changes that would be made to it. We ended the evening by sharing a tiramisu for her birthday along with an espresso martini. The dessert options were nice, but the espresso martini wasn't traditional; it was more Baileys-forward than expected. Overall, it's a decent restaurant for a casual meal but it hasn't offered anything that would make us eager to return or crave another visit.
