I came here a few months ago and experienced EGGcellent customer service. The food was good and I planned on coming back again. Well, I came here again today. This time with my husband and told him it was pretty good. We were seated very quick, it was around 11 am and it's a Thursday. The server took our order but forgot to bring my water. I got the "Mad Platter" which comes with three eggs, three meats, fried potato's (or grits), toast, and a pancake or French toast. I asked for well done eggs, which means the top part is cooked, which I explained to the server. When I got my eggs back they were completely runny. I just ate them as was because I don't mind runny eggs, I just wasn't particularly in the mood for them. It came with a ton of sausage. The toast came out cold but everything else was okay. I asked again for my water. She didn't bring it out when she came to give us something but got it afterwards. We were a party of 5 so we had some dishes and cups piling up. The server NEVER picked up anything from the table. Leaving it cluttered. Then, before asking if we were done or if we had anything we needed she brought us the check. And then just told us we didn't have to rush. You should always make sure your patrons are done before giving them the check, it's just common courtesy. She never returned to our table. My husband complained the syrup was runny. And the biscuits and the gravy was dry. Overall mid food, not sure if they got a new cook but it wasn't anything to write home about. The service was blah and definitely needs improvement. The first server I had when I first visited was really nice and attentive. I would say it's a place to visit at least once but we will not be returning. I hope you have a better experience! read more

Went with my sister and enjoyed a cute brunch on a Sunday morning. They had a full bar with seating that surprised us. It was a modern and trendy interior. I had their Chicken Florentine Crepes and they were so good! Their mornay sauce coupled with the tomatoes was reminiscent of a Kentucky Hot Brown. They were delicious! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I got the Stuffed French Toast and the strawberries were moldy. The food is so dry and everything has a weird taste. The strawberries were either pale and not ripe or moldy. The chocolate doesn't taste like chocolate? And the cream cheese is awful. We asked for a hard boiled egg and it was so dry and falling apart. If I could give this a 4.5 that is what I would give purely because the service was a little slow seeing us the first time and then bringing our drinks. After that, it went better. I got the Loco Hash and it was delicious ! The carnitas were perfectly seasoned and moist. The combination of all the ingredients was really good. What really put it over the edge to be great was the potatoes. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Definitely would order again. every single time i've gone to the Avon Wild Eggs location, they have messed up my order. Whether it be an online order or sitting down eating, they mess it up. This was our first visit to the new Wild Eggs in Avon. We were seated immediately in a requested booth but unfortunately it was right next to the door so we kept our jackets on since it was 17 degrees outside. I've been many times to the Carmel and downtown Indy locations and always leave happy. The atmosphere was pleasant and the standard Wild Eggs decor. I enjoy the menu selection where you can order a basic meal of eggs, protein and bread or an omelet, skillet, gravy or sweet items. The Blueberry muffins are served warm, full of plump blueberries and sprinkled with a sugar topping. Be sure to try one if you enjoy Blueberry muffins. Our server, Ambria B., was prompt and took our drink order immediately. We ordered two Bloody Mary's (pricey @ almost $22) which were quite good. Of course, our taste leans more toward the spicy bloody, which did not disappoint. Our server, Ambria B., was efficient, friendly, and great at muli-tasking. She handled several tables with grace and didn't appear to miss a step. My husband ordered the Wild Western Omelet which is a 4-egg omelet with ham, onion and jalapenos (cheese omitted) topped with pico de gallo and onions. The omelet was served with your choice of skillet potatoes (his choice) or Grits plus choice of an Everything or Blueberry Muffin (his choice). I had the Potato Head Casserole which is a hash brown potato dish with sour cream, cheddar jack cheese, and spices. The dish is topped with sausage, poblano peppers, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, queso and finished off with egg of your choice (scrambled for me). I love veggies so this hit the spot and the queso added a touch of spice along with the peppers. I would easily order this again. Next time, I'll add a Blueberry muffin since I like those so much. Taste was okay. I got the California Bennie. It was dry. Not a lot of hollandaise at all. The eggs were poached hard and we weren't asked how we wanted them. I really do not know why Wild Eggs offers reservations. This is the third location that I have visited and it is the same for all locations. Reservation made, yet you get to stand around and wait for a table along with everybody that did not make a reservation. Why do I even bother? And I don't mean a couple of minutes, I am talking 15 to 30 min... yet they have a 10 min grace period, so if you are 10 min late you are SOL. Doesn't seem quite fair to me. The Avon location was packed, as expected (hence making the useless reservations). The hosts were not exactly welcoming I hate to say. The service was somewhat sketchy, but at least he warmed up to us after a while. They do not currently have a liquor license, so non of the boozy drinks available here. Another unpleasant surprise. I always get the surfer girl omelet with a blueberry muffin and grits of the day. Worst grits ever. Resembled more a soup than the grits I usually enjoy at Wild Eggs. Did we stretch it with water since the place was busy? Eggs slightly overdone, but edible at least. The muffin was yummy as always. 3 stars at this point is rather generous. So - I had the same exact experience at the new Avon location that I had with their downtown location: great service, friendly staff, nice ambiance, and even the flavors of the food were good. BUT - they dont know how to poach an egg. Completely solid core of the egg on my benedict. Same thing happened downtown. They really need to hire me as a consultant to go into their kitchen and show them how to do a poached egg. Give me a call - I wont charge that much. read more

My Bloody Mary garnishes look like they were made 5-6 days ago and were gray in color. Overall the food was just bland and not great. The grits of the day had old sausage links chopped up in them. My friend and I went to the Wild Eggs in Avon, Indiana on Friday. It was the worst experience we both have ever experienced at a restaurant in all our lives. We arrived at 1:50 and was told by the young lady at the entry that they were closing at two. I apologized and offered to come another day. She told my friend and I that it was ok as long as we ordered before two o'clock. She ushered us to a table. Once again I suggested coming another day, but she assured us all was ok. We ordered a quick meal from the kids menu. They brought me out completely black, and I don't mean brown to almost black sausage with food stuck to them. They were clearly taken from the trash, cold eggs that were probably from a plate already there, grits that were stiff and hard. I tasted a half teaspoon of the grits. I felt rather queasy afterwards. I told the server that I would not contemplate under any circumstances eating anything like that! My friend's grits had finger holes poked in them and they too were cold and hard. She asked about the finger holes and never received an answer. Her meat was also burned. It was a horrible experience.! The kitchen staff was apparently angry because we came in late, but they could have taken my suggestion to come back another day Instead of sending out a plate of food clearly taken from the garbage. We were the only customers there so the food prepared right then would have been hot. Needless to say, we did not eat any of it. I will never, ever go to that place again!! The decor is amazing. Very on-brand. The food was delicious. At first, the prices on the menu worried me, but when I saw the quality of what was brought to the table, my mind quickly changed. I am unsure I have ever had this bad of service. Took forever to be seated despite open tables. When we requested new silverware (ours was visibly dirty) and when we needed butter - she had ZERO urgency and just didn't mind letting our tasteless food get cold. Never refilled our water. Had to request things at least 2 times. Our omelette had no taste, everything came out somewhat cold. Interior is nice but I will never return. When I can say the big cities like New York and Los Angeles you pay this much it's expected to be over charged because city fees and all, but not in a small town like Avon. People here spoke about these practices with that Ohio burger place closing so fast after trying to come in and shrinkflate while up charging for something simple. Example is like $6-$8 pancakes or a single waffle for $13ea. Mind blowing how they justify this here... Anyhoo.... Mother Day was supposed to be a special day for many. But Wild Eggs royally messed that up. The management overbooked the reservations. People were waiting for more than 1 hour after their reservation time to be seated. I guess we were lucky. We got seated 45 minutes after our reservation time..but that was only because so many parties in front of us decided they would rather go someplace else instead of waiting that long after their reservations. I imagine many other ladies' Mother's Day was messed up as well. Not only was the kitchen working hard to keep up but the "to-go" orders just kept calling in. After getting seated, it was another 10 minutes before we ordered our food and then another 20 minutes before the food was served (cold, of course). The costs there are somewhat pricey anyway, but on Mother's Day with the quality of the food and the amount of wait time, the prices were outrageous. I hope the management at this location never gets treated the way they treated their guests that day. I feel I'm fairly safe in saying, my family and I will NEVER be back. read more

I ordered an omelette to Western steak and cheese with home fries my wife order the French toast and bacon it was well portioned out actually I could eat the whole meal. Neither do my wife did had coffee and a pumpkin latte. It was all really good now the service was very exceptionally great.Haven was my server she also gave me suggestions what to eat what's really good and she was really friendly and last, but not least the restaurant was very clean. It was neat no papers on the floor no garbage in the bathrooms very very well organized and not like that but the manager came out and asked me how the food was. I waited a little longer just so that I could see what's on the menu and then somebody came behind me. She noticed her and set her down before me. Food quality, and customer service needs improvement. Our food was cold and undercooked. We ordered a California beenie and chicken and waffles. They up charge to make any accommodations (we requested a waffle without chicken since it was too spicy for my daughter and never got it). The cost of drinks is insane with no refills! We arrived late in the day around 2:30 (close at 3pm) and the server/waitress was definitely not in a good mood. We spoke to a manager and they removed the soggy French toast from the bill and we got tired of waiting for another waffle and left.
