The food is so good that it is impressive. Service is impeccable. Our server is probably the nicest server we've ever had in the ambience of the restaurant is very nice as the lights are eggshells.

Always clean and welcoming, Wild Eggs in Avon is a winner. Menu is wide ranging with breakfast and lunch options. Fresh squeezed orange juice on the spot is delicious. Flavored coffee drinks or alcohol drinks are also lovely choices. Service is attentive and prompt. Outdoor seating is available. Funny egg-like lighting makes it a fun environment. TV in bar area. Ample parking. Egg inspired merch also offered.

If I could give this a 4.5 that is what I would give purely because the service was a little slow seeing us the first time and then bringing our drinks. After that, it went better. I got the Loco Hash and it was delicious ! The carnitas were perfectly seasoned and moist. The combination of all the ingredients was really good. What really put it over the edge to be great was the potatoes. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Definitely would order again. If I wasn't driving right after, I would've chosen a mimosa. Seemed like there was a really good selection. Definitely was full. You willl likely wait on weekends so be prepared.

Stopped by Wild Eggs in Avon for an early breakfast -- we were one of the first tables in, and there was only one server working at that time, but she was super sweet and attentive the whole time. I went with the hash brown casserole (because duh, it's the winner every time) and yes, their queso still hits. I tried a different entrée this time, but honestly I'd probably go with something else next time -- not bad, just not my fave. It had been a while since I visited, but I live nearby and will definitely be back again soon. Solid spot for a casual breakfast close to home.

Stopped in for breakfast on a snowy cold morning. They had nice large windows to watch the snow, but we were seated right by the doorway and it was cold as people were coming and going. They have another large dining room away from the door so I'll be sure to ask to sit there next time. Our server was quick and had good suggestions. The food was delicious and everyone cleaned their plate and left happy. Will definitely come back again!

This was our first visit to the new Wild Eggs in Avon. We were seated immediately in a requested booth but unfortunately it was right next to the door so we kept our jackets on since it was 17 degrees outside. I've been many times to the Carmel and downtown Indy locations and always leave happy. The atmosphere was pleasant and the standard Wild Eggs decor. I enjoy the menu selection where you can order a basic meal of eggs, protein and bread or an omelet, skillet, gravy or sweet items. The Blueberry muffins are served warm, full of plump blueberries and sprinkled with a sugar topping. Be sure to try one if you enjoy Blueberry muffins. Our server, Ambria B., was prompt and took our drink order immediately. We ordered two Bloody Mary's (pricey @ almost $22) which were quite good. Of course, our taste leans more toward the spicy bloody, which did not disappoint. Our server, Ambria B., was efficient, friendly, and great at muli-tasking. She handled several tables with grace and didn't appear to miss a step. My husband ordered the Wild Western Omelet which is a 4-egg omelet with ham, onion and jalapenos (cheese omitted) topped with pico de gallo and onions. The omelet was served with your choice of skillet potatoes (his choice) or Grits plus choice of an Everything or Blueberry Muffin (his choice). I had the Potato Head Casserole which is a hash brown potato dish with sour cream, cheddar jack cheese, and spices. The dish is topped with sausage, poblano peppers, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, queso and finished off with egg of your choice (scrambled for me). I love veggies so this hit the spot and the queso added a touch of spice along with the peppers. I would easily order this again. Next time, I'll add a Blueberry muffin since I like those so much. We had a pleasant experience, with the exception of the cold air rushing in when the door opened. Next time, I'll pay more attention to my surroundings.

I really do not know why Wild Eggs offers reservations. This is the third location that I have visited and it is the same for all locations. Reservation made, yet you get to stand around and wait for a table along with everybody that did not make a reservation. Why do I even bother? And I don't mean a couple of minutes, I am talking 15 to 30 min... yet they have a 10 min grace period, so if you are 10 min late you are SOL. Doesn't seem quite fair to me. The Avon location was packed, as expected (hence making the useless reservations). The hosts were not exactly welcoming I hate to say. The service was somewhat sketchy, but at least he warmed up to us after a while. They do not currently have a liquor license, so non of the boozy drinks available here. Another unpleasant surprise. I always get the surfer girl omelet with a blueberry muffin and grits of the day. Worst grits ever. Resembled more a soup than the grits I usually enjoy at Wild Eggs. Did we stretch it with water since the place was busy? Eggs slightly overdone, but edible at least. The muffin was yummy as always. 3 stars at this point is rather generous. I do hope that these are starter problems that can be ironed out. On the other hand, it has been open over a month already...

So - I had the same exact experience at the new Avon location that I had with their downtown location: great service, friendly staff, nice ambiance, and even the flavors of the food were good. BUT - they dont know how to poach an egg. Completely solid core of the egg on my benedict. Same thing happened downtown. They really need to hire me as a consultant to go into their kitchen and show them how to do a poached egg. Give me a call - I wont charge that much.

$65 for two people for breakfast is crazy lol and I would be okay with the prices if the food was spectacular and it just wasn't. My Bloody Mary garnishes look like they were made 5-6 days ago and were gray in color. Overall the food was just bland and not great. The grits of the day had old sausage links chopped up in them. The chicken and Waffles came with what looked like 1 chicken tender. Emmys Pancake house and Metro Diner are wayyy better and half the price.

The one important thing I would say, is that when you place an online order, they don't mark which dish is which. I had a bowl with sweet potato noodles, some veggies and the Korean crispy chicken. The flavors were good, but the thing that struck me was that some of the items were essentially cold and others were lukewarm, but none of it was really hot. I think it's an inherent property of what they do. They never "grill" or warn all these items together. It would be much better IMO if all the items were stir fried or thrown on a grill quickly together to warm up the dish and meld the flavors. That said the Korean crispy chicken was flavorful and the noodles were a highlight, and seemed to be like Thai glass noodles I've had before. My dining partner got a bowl with the same noodles, some veggies and the salmon. She really like the salmon, and said her bowl was good. The restaurant was clean, the workers were very welcoming and helpful on informing how to pick bowl items, etc. Parking was very easy. Of course they accept all the standard forms of payment, including tap to pay, etc. Overall, if you like interesting yet potentially disparate flavors together in the same bowl, you will likely enjoy BIBIBOP. We had already eaten a few bites when I remembered to take the pics (Apologies).

Gluten Free Creations has one of the more obvious names among the Statehouse Market vendors - founder/baker Lydia Armstrong's Gluten Free Creations is "a home-based all gluten and corn free scratch made bakery. You can also place orders on their website and pick up at one of the places they regularly attend (including Statehouse Market, Irvington Farmer's Market, Fishers Farmer's Market, and Avon Farmer's Market. Lydia is also known as an adventurous baker who will do what she can to accommodate other types of baking needs due to sensitivities. Product offerings include cakes/cupcakes (also Keto and Paleo options among others, though flavor options are more limited). breads, rolls, pretzel products, cinnamon rolls, Danish, and other items. Lydia can also make yeast-free breads, sweet breads, pies, cookies, cake donuts, brownies, scones, etc. The list is available on their website with pricing. I've tried the brownies (Yum!), cinnamon rolls (even more yum!), and cookies (Yum Yum). Yes, the pricing is a little higher than mass-produced products. These are specialty products from a local, woman owned business. Easily worth supporting in my book. When you add in just how sick you can get when you don't follow the needed diet, I find it balances out. I mean, seriously. How often have we violated the gluten-free diet and paid for it with digestive issues requiring OTC or even prescription meds? So, we end up spending more and feeling lousy. Lydia makes quality products that are healthier and does so at a fair price. She's always friendly and helpful and always willing to brainstorm ideas. I can always tell by the steady line at their stand that they've earned a reputation for quality baking. If you need a gluten-free baking option, Gluten Free Creations is definitely worth a visit at a local farmer's market or through their website.

Eating out has become a bit more limiting. My scones: oh, how I miss you! My SO surprised me with a batch of gluten free mini scones from a vendor at City Market Farmers Market: Gluten Free Creations. Yum! I checked out their website and wow, so much to offer. Vegan, paleo, gluten free, many items allergen free. Scones, cake doughnuts, cupcakes, cookies, cakes, sandwich and other breads. I try to write somewhat useful reviews so I definitely want to give this place a shout out and bring it to anyone's attention who may have concerns about certain allergens. Surely you know someone because I don't think a person counts as an actual human being these days if they don't have at least some food sensitivity (I can't believe I'm one of them!). Things to keep in mind, this isn't Ezra's, so their aim isn't necessarily "healthy." Sugar is typically a no go for me, and if that's you too, this place is probably a no go. But if you're entertaining where there are many actual human beings ( I would definitely have a human authenticity device on hand for those who claim to have none. Aliens are real, people!) or you're someone who has food sensitivities, you've got to check this place out! I haven't found any baker in Indy who only does gluten free, so again, worth the review and checking them out for this reason alone. They have no brick and mortar establishment but all local farmer's markets, and they have their schedule listed on their website. If you want to place an order other than what they offer that particular day, contact them but you will have to pick up at a farmer's market. Do I recommend them? Well, truthfully, I've only tried a delicious mini scone so far, but I am excited about their brand/their concept so if you get excited about this too, and you're not afraid of a good ol' fashion American baked good, yes, id recommend them! However, if you are looking for guilt free unbaked goods, I'd probably say go to Ezra's, as I usually do. I can't wait to read about your experience!

First off, I got the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl (regular size), and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was packed with flavor. The portion size was more than fair for the price around $10.99 for the combo and it genuinely felt like you're getting your money's worth. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce had just the right kick, and everything was fresh. I also grabbed an egg roll on the side (not included in the combo), and it was 100% worth it great size, crispy, and just done right. Now I'll be honest, I usually don't go for yakisoba noodles, but the co-owner, Brandy, insisted I try them. She had my girlfriend get rice so we could swap and compare, and I'm glad we did because both were seriously amazing. I'd go back for either one without hesitation. But what really made this experience stand out wasn't just the food it was the service. Brandy is hands down one of the most welcoming and genuine people I've ever met in the service industry, and I've been in it myself for over 7.5 years. The way she greeted us, asked if it was our first time, explained things, and just kept such a positive, upbeat energy the whole time it made a huge difference. She even came by to check on us while we were eating, which you barely see anymore unless you're at a sit-down restaurant and even then, some places don't do it well. She absolutely nailed it. If that's the level of care and energy she brings as a co-owner, I can only imagine how strong her team is. She sets the tone, and it shows. Overall, this place gets 5 stars across the board from me honestly, if I could give 10, I would give 12. And Brandy? 10 stars easy. She's doing everything right and deserves all the recognition. You can tell she truly cares, and that kind of effort doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you again, Brandy you're amazing at what you do. Keep being you. Your team is lucky to have you, and you're definitely setting the standard. - Gio & Marissa (the guy with the health & life science hat, you know who this is!)

Anyway, it is a little out of the way. It's walkable from downtown but not really in the downtown core. Pretty quiet when I was there, but the atmosphere felt approachable. Some of the chairs were like school desk chairs (adult-sized, of course) that I haven't seen since I was in primary school which was kind of funny. The guy at the counter was cheerful and friendly. They looked like they had run out of some of the hot savory items by Saturday mid-afternoon, but there was still a wide variety of sweets. I believe the current owners are Indian, and you see some of those flavours featured. I got: Samosa handpie: Good, not mind-blowing, but good. Nice flavours. If you like a flaky crust, this is not it, but I liked the rustic pastry crust. Pistachio cardamom donut: Loved it. Before I moved to Bloomington, there were a few bakeries that offered vegan-GF cake donuts that I loved, and this was the first thing I've gotten here that reminded me of that. Pleasant texture and strong cardamom flavour, not too sweet. I think these are baked donuts, so they're a little different from regular fried donuts, but in a good way IMO. Rose dream latte: Milk with rose syrup topped with coconut whip and nuts, no espresso. Tasted great, but more of a dessert drink than I was expecting. The coconut whip was quite thick. The concept could probably use some refinement, because the whip was too thick and rigid to drink without a straw, but the nut pieces were too big to go through a straw, and so I couldn't figure out the best way to drink it. From what I understand, there are some longtime fans of this place who feel like the quality has dropped since the most recent change in ownership, but as someone who had never been here before, I really had a good experience. I get why people would be upset when something changes, but if you are considering trying this place for the first time, I wouldn't be too put off by the negativity around the change in ownership. There's no other place specialized in vegan baking in Bloomington, so I think it's good to support what they are continuing to do here, and even though I am partial to vegan food I wouldn't say that if it wasn't also GOOD. They also had some refreshingly unique options for baked goods.
