Old Chevy in the middle of the restaurant

This is a very cute 1950 diner. My wife, daughter and friend were promptly greeted at the front door we were set in our server. Was there in seconds the decor is awesome with old advertisements from the 1950s and pictures. We ordered a house salad the hubcap tenderloin and a BLT they were all delicious. The BLT came with fries and the wife and I split The girls ended up taking half of the hubcap tenderloin home cause it was too big to eat even for two splitting it all in all this is a fantastic family diner with polite people excellent service we will definitely come back

Looking for a fun vibe? Knuckle Sandwich is the place! Tons of memorabilia on the walls and TV sets showing old shows like Gomer Pyle. Music on the jukebox has you singing along without even realizing it. After reading other yelp reviews, we decided to share the hubcap tenderloin. It was fully loaded with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles and a huge beautiful bun. The tenderloin was hand pounded and was a little thin for my taste but it was still delicious. The fries were hot and crispy, a welcome change from cold or soggy fries. I also ordered a milkshake which was served in the metal cup. Other tables had great looking salads and burgers so we will be back. FYI cash prices are listed on the menu, a 3.5% of charge for credit card usage.

The atmosphere here is immaculate. They normally have 50s-60s music playing and the decor is amazing. The food is also very good and fresh. Its probably the best retro diner I've been to. I highly recommend

Very good food and really large portions. The service was good. Cute decor. We had a 12 year old boy with a bottomless appetite but after the large hot dog and huge banana split-- he was full!

Love the atmosphere of walking in to the cool decor Our waitress was helpful with suggestions on what to order. She was on top of our needs. My huge tenderloin was seasoned and battered perfectly. The bun was also amazing as you can see it almost covered the tenderloin. I cut that in half which gave me 2 meals. Can't wait to go back. We were to full to try dessert but the milkshake and sundae looked mouthwatering

This is a new and neat little diner in Bargersville. They have an adequate parking lot that they share with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is located. The diner is a 50s/60s themed restaurant and has a ton of neat and nostalgic decorations. They have classic music playing outside and neat booth inside that is the shape of an old red Corvette. I think seating in that special booth is reserved for those crazy enough to try their food challenge that consists of eating 2-one pound burgers and 2 pounds of french fries. That seems easy enough, huh. They have a couple of televisions in the corners in the restaurant to watch, but they are not easy to view, or at least from where I was seated. The place was slammed packed when I was there. And this was the middle of the day. I had to wait 30 minutes. They just take your name and phone number, then call you when your table is ready. The staff there was awesome, even given how busy they were. They were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The diner serves your typical diner food including burgers, fried chicken, fish, tenderloins, pizza, soups, salads, and breakfast food. I ordered the Big Booper BLT with a side of fries. It did not disappoint. It took only about 7 minutes for them to prepare and it was fresh, hot and tasty. As advertised, it was loaded with bacon. I highly recommend it. This is an awesome joint that deserves all of the hype that it gets and then some. It has a cool Fonzie type of vibe. It is just missing the bar seating. I highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed.

After seeing people talk about this place reopening we were driving by and decided to stop in and give it try. It's a cute little 50s themed restaurant with 50s music playing. We got got seated promptly and everything came out super fast. The sweet tea is really good We got the half and half appetizer which is onion rings and breaded mushrooms. They were just ok nothing spectacular and the portion was small for 11.99 Hubby ordered the 57 Chevy which is a very large burger however it was dry and lacked flavor. The only flavor was the pepper jack cheese. I ordered the Ruben and the meat was chewy and fatty. The rest of the sandwich was pretty good. The fries were the best part. The menu prices are cash and debit prices. Credit cards they will add an additional 3% of your total bill. I can't honestly say I'll come back. Maybe to try their breakfast which is served til 11am daily.

After having to close a couple of years ago for the new interchange at I-69 and Hwy 144, the Knuckle Sandwich has reopened in a new location. Their theme is still the same, a 50s & 60s diner. All new retro furniture including parts of two cars, a Chevy and a Mustang, makes the interior absolutely pop. Their reputation has never dwindled. I've been hearing of one hour wait times this week. I tried to get a table yesterday and it was too crowded for me at noon. So I came today for their 10:30 opening time. Twenty people were lined up to get a table before the doors opened. I ordered my old favorite, the Philly Cheesesteak with fries and was not disappointed. It is a big sandwich on fresh bread with lots of steak and cheese. The fries are the battered style and good. They still have The Challenge where if you eat two fully dressed one pound burgers and two lbs of fries in 45 mins, it's all free and you get a T-shirt, your photo on the Wall of Fame and a trophy. Several people were on the old Wall of Fame but this wall is blank and waiting for you ;-) They still show 50s and 60s movies and TV shows on their screens. There is plenty of parking in the shared lot for the strip shopping center. Sorry I didn't get any menu photos, maybe someone else can post them. Welcome Back Knuckle!

Today, I did, because I didn't have to fast for a blood draw right down the street. The inside is a lot bigger than I expected. There is plenty of seating. I counted 18 tables with two seats each (for a total of 36 seats) but arranged in various combinations of 2, 4, 6, and 8 seat groups of tables. The service is super friendly. Well over and beyond any expectation you may have, I'm sure. They make you feel like a member of the family and that you have been coming here for years. I ordered the Grilled Philly Steak Sandwich which comes how ever you want it fixed with a choice of six different cheeses. The sandwich was excellent. I had a bag of plain Lays chips with my sandwich. For dessert I had one Chocolate Chip Cookie. Paying is super easy and totally informal (they explained it to me earlier). I went with the chicken salad sandwich with fries. The sandwich was surprisingly good. I had never had chicken salad with raisins and grapes before. But it was very flavorful and delicious. The fries were different too, And also in a good way. I cant put my finger on what made them different, but they were just good. The prices are reasonable and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The place is loud but with a great positive energy. People are small-town friendly and talk between tables as they enjoy their biscuits and gravy. We cajoled with two regulars who told funny stories. Our server, Gill, was quick to the table and friendly. He checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. The menu is a mix of traditional breakfast options, sandwiches, salads and wraps. Prices are reasonable. Food came out quickly. My husband ordered their hand breaded tenderloin with fries. The tenderloin was massive with a great browned breading, served on a Kaiser roll. The pork was tender and juicy. It was a perfect tenderloin, worthy of the Indiana Tenderloin Trail. The hand-cut fries are lightly breaded, crispy and hot. There was an up-charge for the fries, but they were so good and worth it. It was rainy outside, so I had a bowl of the daily soup - broccoli cheddar. The soup was hot, thick, creamy with lots of broccoli and cheese and stuck to my ribs. My soup was served with packs of saltines. Free street parking is available if you're lucky to grab a spot. Well worth the drive to Franklin. Ps. They are closed Saturday and Sunday!

We ended up ordering a second round. The Jalapeño Deviled Eggs are outstanding. Smooth and creamy, topped with jalapeño and candied bacon. Every bite was a pleasure. For entrees, I got the Bourbon Jalapeño Shrimp. It had a light kick and tasted incredible. My husband ordered the Rise & Shine Chicken Biscuit. It was all tasty, but that biscuit was fluffy and salty, exactly how a good biscuit should be. Our server made the whole meal. She was friendly and patient with me even though I was having more trouble than usual deciding what to order. She also mixed our Bloody Marys, so she was working double duty and doing it well. Par for the course, I made sure to check them out on Yelp first. It's a pretty good sized place with additional outdoor seating. It's very spacious and spread out without the tables being crammed together, including the booth space. It had a fresh looking and clean appearance too. The decor is pleasant. The place seemed to have an ample sized crowd when we arrived. We were seated right away and we had a kind and informative server. Dale's only serves breakfast and lunch and then they shut down early. They do not do dinner apparently. It seems they serve breakfast all day along with some lunch options. We decided to eat lunch because we got there a little bit after noon. The special of the day was sloppy Joe's. I decided to have a pork tenderloin sandwich with fries and coleslaw and my guest decided to get the sloppy Joe's special with fries. On a 10 scale, the coleslaw was a seven, the tenderloin sandwich was a nine, and the fries were an eight. The sloppy joe was a six. I think the reason why the sloppy Joe didn't rank higher is because it was just dry loose seasoned hamburger meat. It didn't have any sauce in it whatsoever to hold it together. It was more like a loose meat sandwich or a taco burger. Those sandwiches are generally drier and crumbly in texture. I also like the option of having some cheddar cheese with a sloppy joe, or any similar hamburger type of sandwich. I would definitely consider coming again and trying something different. I noticed they had some comfort food classics on their menu like ex: chicken and dumplings and meatloaf. I hear they're usually pretty busy and packed when it comes to their breakfast crowd. This restaurant is doing things the right way from what I can tell at this point. The bathroom was average in cleanliness, presentation/appearance. The breakfast menu features traditional Midwestern breakfast fare with pancakes, of course, as a cornerstone offering. We visited on a Friday morning and were seated right away. Our server, Amy, took care of us quickly and did a good job throughout our visit. My colleague went with the theme and got the big stack of six pancakes, too much for one sitting. He also got a side of fresh fruit, which was a nice offering. I went a little heavier and got the corned beef hash, a favorite of mine. Here, it comes with hash browns, which is a little unusual. I certainly appreciated this nuance. I also had some hash and potatoes left over to take away. We both thought our choices to be quite good. The coffee was not bad and more than adequate with food (not sure how it would be on its own, which is the ultimate test for coffee). Between the two of us with food, drink, tax and tip, we spent $42. By today's standards, that's not unreasonable. It was not a bad value considering we each had enough to take away for another meal.
