Great food and a real hidden gem in Morgantown. We drive 25 miles to get there and the menu is remarkable. When you pull into the parking lot you can be a little hesitant but upon walking in and ordering a smile takes over with quality.

Stopped in for a first time visit and was seated immediately. The server was pleasant, attentive and informative. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. Not too chic or trashy but just right for me. The menu has a LOT of choices and the selections have something for everyone. They serve breakfast until 2pm. The food was delivered pretty quickly after we ordered and was hot and delicious. I went with Bobs Breakfast that had hash browns, eggs of your choice and sausage gravy on top. I didn't need any seasoning and the flavor was great! We also ordered the tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection and had great flavor. The portion size was just right. Nice little restaurant to stop at before you head into Nashville. Worth a visit!

I'd driven by the Green Hill Diner several times on my way to Nashville, IN. Always lots of cars in the parking lot so I decided to stop in this afternoon to check the place out for a late lunch. I love the look of the place both inside and out. Very clean with a homey feel. Very friendly staff. Alexis, my server, was sweet as sugar cream pie. For my light lunch, I ordered the Grass-fed Steak burger Chili with Onion, Sour Cream, and a Root Beer Float. The chili was great. Tasty and a little different. I liked that it was not loaded up with beans- 4 stars. I absolutely loved the root beer float. 5 star. Alexis made it herself. -- When I asked Alexis her secret, she said that she starts by making an Ice Cream /Root Beer base like a milk shake, adds more ice cream and tops everything off with more root beer. Yum, Yum. I like this place. It was fun and I left feeling good. It felt like family. I'll be back with the wife to try more menu items, and, maybe some of the bakery good. Those cookies in the bakery case looked awesome.

Visited Labor Day weekend, place was packed. Service was quick. Food was delicious. The decor there is hilarious! They had old episodes of the Price is right on the TV from when Bob Barker had dark hair, we couldn't stop watching it.

I'll start out by saying that I really, really wanted to give high marks. I love the concept, I love the way they have decorated, and the menu looked delicious. That said, our experience was disappointing. We arrived on a Sunday, late morning. I had already chosen my order, based on the diner's Facebook postings. It's good that we didn't have our heart set on breakfast because the waitress informed us that they were out of breakfast. On a Sunday morning. Ordering was quick, and we waited for our appetizer. Fried green tomatoes. I love fried green tomatoes and have had several different varieties. The ones advertised looked amazing. But that's not what arrived. Next came the entrees. Again, I ordered based on a post. The wedge salad picture looked delicious in the post. But that wasn't what arrived. It didn't even have the bacon on it. I asked and the waitress said "really they didn't put it on there?" Nope. I love bleu cheese, but it was so strong that I couldn't eat it. I added grilled chicken to the salad. It came on the side and was really dry. It's a cute place. It just didn't deliver when it came to the food. Edit: in my anger at reliving the salad and tomato fiasco, I forgot to mention the one good item - the fries! Fried in beef tallow! (Sorry vegetarian friends) They were amazing - so crispy and flavorful.

Popper burger with hand cut, fresh tallow fries.

I think we just found our new favorite restaurant. All made from scratch and in house. Local ingredients, beef from a farm in Trafalgar. Fries are cut in house and cooked in Beef Tallow. Creative menu. Great customer service, and you can tell they really care about the quality of ingredients. Good, honest and quaint. Can't recommend enough.

Words won't do me justice here. When you think "hidden gem", this is it. Must try. Tried the Poutine, fried green tomatoes, and a couple Burgers and ALL were amazing.

My BFF has been wanting to go here for a while. Everything was oustanding!! We will be back and maybe for lunch this afternoon!

Menu: Soup, salad, starters, sandwiches, and entrees.

It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

I couldn't help myself when I saw that they were featuring two special wines, and one of them was a Sauvignon Blanc called Sincerite. I had never tasted this particular wine, but it sounded special! And sincere! It was good, but maybe a little too sweet for my palate. Isn't that sometimes the way with those earnest wines? I visited for lunch when I just wanted a little something. So I got the soup of the day -- a bean and beef number in a tomatoey broth. It came with a fennel-seed-studded roll. The soup was amazing and tasted like something a mom or dad or grandma or grandpa would make: just kind of simple and hearty and good. I also got the Hobnob Green Salad, which is mesclun topped with shredded cheese, mushrooms, cubes of turkey and croutons. I'm not a big fan of raw mushroom slices in general, and particularly on a salad, so I picked off the mushrooms like a petulant child and ate the rest of the salad. My soup and salad went really well with my cold glass of Sauv Blanc. Hobnob Corner was very busy when I visited! Nashville is a place that gets lots of visitors, and this restaurant, which is located on the corner of a busy intersection in downtown Nashville, is no exception. But I was able to get a table right away, even though I was a party of one. There is no bar here, by the way. Even though they were busy, the service was quick and friendly. They also have a pastry selection in a display case in the front of the restaurant. You can pop in and grab a cookie or pastry, if you want.

Our whole family came along, and we were excited to try it out. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich, and while it wasn't bad, it didn't really stand out either -- just OK. That seemed to be the theme across the table. Nothing was terrible, but nothing wowed us either. It's a nice spot for a sit-down meal if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Solidly average.

Know that I am a city boy and this is in rural Indiana. Two thousand people live in Cloverdale. We stopped on our way to a sprint car race not far from here. There are just not many dining options. While I do not think usual clientele or others would be put off, there were some signs outside that warned you of their conservative political beliefs, warning you to not enter if this offends you. I did not. I went in and did not feel uncomfortable my the hospitality. Ambiance is basic. There is nothing fancy, but then again, it was just fine. I may seem prejudiced, but this comment is sincere and meant to be purely complimentary. My friend, from rural Indiana agreed. "This place brought to mind that it is where you go after the hay is stacked, the cows are in the barn, you are hungry and can get your fill of good food, cheap." The daily specials posted suggested I come back. Service bringing our order was slow, but our server apologized and explained a kitchen issue. No worries. We both ordered the quintessential Indiana sandwich - Pork Tenderloin. I got the grilled and he got the fried. Never in my life have I seen a meal called a "sandwich" that looked like this. The tenderloin was as big as a dinner plate. The bun looked a decoration more than the basis for a sandwich. The meat was easily twice or three times the diameter of the ornamental bun. Neither of us could even eat half. Deferring to my Hoosier native, he declared this one of the best tenderloins he ever had. Unfortunately, my grilled version was a bit dry. We have made tenderloins at home in TN. I cannot for the life of me figure out how they pounded that cut of meat into the shape they served.

The restaurant isn't well marked, but it's on the side of a Speedway gas station just off I-70. I saw good reviews on Yelp and had to check out the food for myself. The restaurant dining room is pretty dated, but clean. The staff is Midwest, small town friendly. We were seated quickly and immediately our drink orders were taken. Water was on the table quickly. Our server checked on us frequently. Service was great. I had a burger. The $8.90 burger comes on a huge fresh sesame bun with generous helpings of lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. The burger itself was just ok. The burger also comes with a side and I had coleslaw. The slaw was some of the best slaw that I've had in a long time. I love a good coleslaw. My husband had the breaded pork tenderloin which is prepared in house. The breading was well seasoned and the pork tender. Again the lettuce and tomato toppings were generous. The pork tenderloin gets high marks. The restaurants gets a steady stream of local regulars and traveling truckers coming in for breakfast. The portions are generous and you're not going to leave hungry. Prices are really reasonable. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is easy on and off the highway.
