Came here to play purse bingo and have dinner. It is a small biker bar with really cool decor. There was one bartender/server and one cook. I think the servers name was Julie (that's what the receipt said). It seemed that all the customers came in at roughly the same time making the bar completely full and she handled it effortlessly. And the cook had the food out in no time! We all enjoyed our dinners. Good typical bar food. I will definitely stop here when out for a ride from now on! read more

We left Nashville, Indiana in Brown County after a half-day of shopping. We were hungry and the local eateries in Nashville had a 1 to 1-1/2 hour wait (the town was really busy as the weather was perfect and the trees were ablaze with color. ) We used Google Maps to try to find somewhere in Morgantown (on our way home) to eat. The Green Hill Diner? Couldn't find it (was most likely in the gas station complex at the junction of 135 and Washington Street.) Another restaurant, Kathy's Cafe? Closed. But right across the street from Kathy's Cafe was Frenchy's Pub. What the heck, pub food can take care of hunger (we don't drink alcohol.) A VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE! There were 3 male customers at the bar. The server was eating her lunch. She told us to "sit anywhere" and came to take our order, after telling us of the daily special. Don't look for a really big menu- remember, pub food! We opted for the Club Sandwich and the breaded tenderloin (add bacon) a soda and a water. The tenderloin was not one of those really flat pieces of overbreaded pork on a little bun. Nope! This was a real slice of pork loin, breaded with just enough coating. The bacon? I think it was deep fried, but delicious. The Club Sandwich was on white bread and was perfect. The bathrooms were really clean, the pub was really clean (well, some salty language every once in a while from the guys at the bar but hey, we're grownups!) and the total bill was $31.40 which included a $6.00 tip. If we are in Morgantown again and hungry, we will stop in. You should, too. Oh, by the way, we wore masks except when eating. No one had a problem with our doing so. read more

First off, a caveat. This is a bar, and a bit of a dive bar, at that. But, it's a five star dive bar. You'll not get fine dining here, but you'll get great, local atmosphere, local flavor, and friendly service. At least that's been our experience on multiple visits. The breaded tenderloin is absolutely on a par with any of the best in the state. It's not pounded out paper thin, but has a nice heft to it. The breading is nicely seasoned, and the price is right. My wife has had the chicken quesadilla, and we've shared several appetizers. All have been very good indeed. Be aware that the menu is pretty limited, so don't expect a ton of choices. But what they do, they do very well. Also--a previous review mentioned that they allow smoking. I'm not SURE that's accurate. We've been there more than once but have not seen ashtrays at the table, nor have we seen anyone smoking. I can not say with certainty that they do NOT allow smoking, though. Just wanted to state that in the interest of fairness. read more

Ugh. Yes, it's a divey biker bar. Yes, they allow smoking. Those two things weren't issues for us. To start out, Kathy's was closed. It's a cool diner across the street that we were hoping to try. We were quite hungry, so we went for the only other option - Frenchy's. Being that they flew a certain flag that I detest outside, they automatically get a star deduction. It's their freedom to fly it. It's my freedom to review them this way. I didn't really want to go in because of this. But like I said, we were hungry. When we went in, we sat ourselves at a booth. It was still wet from being cleaned and eventually a gentleman came over with a towel to dry it off. We were immediately greeted by a friendly woman who took our drink and appetizer order. We both ordered unsweetened iced tea and one order of onion rings as our appetizer. For my main course, I ordered a catfish sandwich sans the bread with potato chips. The food was awful. The onion rings were soaked with grease. They were soggy. The catfish had to be some of the cheapest frozen crap they could buy. It was thin and dry. The potato chips that came with it were extremely salty. After we received our food, our service took a nose-dive. She brought us fresh drinks and then disappeared. That wouldn't have been such a big problem, but she brought us flat Cokes instead of unsweetened ice tea. Since I cannot drink soda, I spent half of my salty meal without anything to drink. Eventually, she meandered back to our table to deliver our bill. She took our credit card and quickly returned with the final bill. We were eager to leave. read more

Ya'll best have your ID ready to present when you walk in. Having said that, this is a pretty cool small-town dive bar that's very popular with bikers. Possibly due to the tons of bike decorations & novelties adorning every square inch of the pub. We stopped in recently with friends and enjoyed some ice cold buckets of beer, really good grilled sandwiches & burgers and an excellent breaded tenderloin which all of us wished we had ordered. Next time for sure. And, honestly, after you prove that you're over 21, the service is very friendly. :) read more

Met here with a group for a lunch during the workweek. We ordered the sampler which came with cheese sticks, mushrooms, and zuchinni. The portion for this item was HUGE! I also had the taco salad which was a little odd. I would have called it nachos supreme. It was good and hit the spot but I didn't enjoy the huge amount of black olives I had to pick out.
