I generally have low expectations for Indiana wines, and this was pretty much what I expected. Of the four wines in my flight, I couldn't even finish two of them. (A shame since they charge more for a flight than any other IN winery I've been to -- $14 for 4 wines!) The Cab/Zin blend was not too bad -- better than I had expected, actually, so the tasting was off to a good start. But the dry Riesling was awful. It had a distinct funk to it. As a wine specialist, I feel like I should be able to describe it better than that, but I didn't want to keep sipping to identify the "funk" more precisely. The semi-dry Riesling was drinkable (but way sweeter than semi-dry). The "semi-sweet" Traminette was full-on, dessert wine level super-sweet and lacking any acidity to balance out the sweetness. I couldn't finish that one either because I was actually starting to feel a little sick from the intense sweetness. My husband liked the Zin in his flight, and I thought it was okay. I also tasted his blackberry wine. I usually like blackberry wines because they have acidity & tartness to balance the sweetness, but this one did not. It was just all sweet. The service was fine, and the atmosphere was nice. I enjoyed the classic rock music. The winery shares space with 450 North. I can't say anything about the 450 North stuff or the restaurant because I don't like beer and we didn't get food, so the two stars is based on wine quality alone. I'm glad we stopped by so I know what it is, but we definitely won't go out of our way to visit again.

The omelette was one of the best if not the best I've ever had. Stuffed FULL of all the mix ins and cheese with yummy breakfast potatoes. The star of the show was the gluten free pancakes. They were stellar!! Would highly recommend. This place is one of the easiest 5/5 I've ever given. 100% would recommend!!

The cocktail actually had some heat, and the glass was rimmed with Everything Bagel Seasoning. I'd never had that before. It was a tasty touch. The candied bacon garnish was divine. We ended up ordering a second round. The Jalapeño Deviled Eggs are outstanding. Smooth and creamy, topped with jalapeño and candied bacon. Every bite was a pleasure. For entrees, I got the Bourbon Jalapeño Shrimp. It had a light kick and tasted incredible. My husband ordered the Rise & Shine Chicken Biscuit. It was all tasty, but that biscuit was fluffy and salty, exactly how a good biscuit should be. Our server made the whole meal. She was friendly and patient with me even though I was having more trouble than usual deciding what to order. She also mixed our Bloody Marys, so she was working double duty and doing it well. This bar screams "crawl inside me, throw off your coat and stay awhile". The low lighting, exposed brick, local clientele and fun menu top it all off. 2.) For my fellow smokey cocktail drinkers: I recommend the Mexican Sunrise with grapefruit juice, Mezcal and a kick off spice. Note: they also have a decent selection of bourbons and local beer on tap and by the can. 3.) I can't stop thinking about the homemade ricotta bacon jam with sliced baguette. All thoughts of eating healthy were swept aside when this dish rolled out. "Healthy who?" 4.) I'm always advocating that beets could use more representation on menus (besides in salads...). If you're a fellow beet advocate, I'd give the pickled beets with whipped goat cheese and sliced almonds a try. 5.) Order the root veggies with browned butter and chimichurri - you can thank me later. 6.) The fact that Bar Rev is tucked in the back of Revery gives it this mysterious, secret club kind of vibe. Good news is, they allow newbies from Indy access ;) 7.) As for the classic question of parking. Easy peasy.
