We decided to check it out for breakfast. It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. The plate is a delicious concoction of hashbrowns, topped with two eggs, smothered in sausage gravy. My husband said "it works!" and devoured the entire plate. In a case by the cash register were the most gorgeous cookies that were huge. The cookies are made fresh daily. We took home a Blueberry Cream Cheese Cookie that was probably the best cookie that I've ever tasted. I'm not exaggerating. The cookie was chewy with caramelized edges and lots of flavor from the fresh blueberries. I'll be making regular trips to Morgantown for those dang cookies. The restrooms are a bit tight.
