Pretty good. We all got the individual 10 inch pizzas. We asked about the hand tossed versus thin crust. What was described was that hand tossed is pretty thick and thin crust is very thin and crispy. We got some of each (thin and hand tossed) and maybe they messed up the order and we got all hand tossed? But we could not tell any difference between crusts. They were all on the thick side. Definitely no thin crispy crust at our table. They have some interesting pizza creations and pretty good beer selection. We also got the breadsticks appetizer. They were fine. They reminded me of the breadsticks at the cheap little pizza place next to campus when I was a student at ISU many moons ago. We all had leftovers. It was pretty good but definitely not into the great category.

We for an order of breadsticks and each got our own individual pizzas. They are aligned with a local brewery so they have some good local beers. We were sat by the back door off an alley through which people came and went for pick up orders which was fine except that 1A) the door didn't close properly and kept being ajar and 1B) people seem to be too dumb to actually close the door and/or make sure it closed 2) it was raining and humid so the hot moist air was constantly rolling in on us and more so 3) every damn fly in Nashville wanted to escape the rain so the afore mentioned door which was constantly left ajar seemed an inviting place for them to take shelter. Our server was very nice and answered many questions for us. We can be very questionny sometimes and she showed a good amount of patience in dealing with us. The pizza and breadsticks were very good! Only 1 of the 4 of us managed to finish their pizza so we had a lot of leftovers.

Service was 10 out of 10 because of Blake? We all enjoyed our food. 6 of us were very happy. No complaints which was unusual. Best meals we have had since we have been town. The WITCHES will be back next year if not before! Thanks for a memorable experience!

Very relaxed vibe, the food was phenomenal and the service was really helpful and nice. Good selection of beer as well. Would recommend!

I'm known for turning appetizers into meals, and if BBQ pulled pork nachos are on the menu, my decision is made! These nachos did not disappoint--flavorful with just the right amount of kick. While I didn't quite finish the whole plate, I definitely made a dent! I also love when nachos are spread wide instead of stacked tall, making every bite perfectly loaded. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. If you're in Nashville and want a casual bite while exploring the shops, I'd highly recommend stopping here!

We made a quick stop to pick up a pizza to go and grabbed an appetizer while we waited and a flight of beers. We sat outside on the patio area and it was comfortable. The bartender was very informative and the beers were good. My favorite was the peanut butter porter. The pulled pork nachos are always a favorite for me.

You'll have leftovers. You might miss the ricotta.

Nothing like great brews and pies under one roof, or in one cute beer garden. Or just bring it back to the campsite! Gatherer, the white pie with arugula and tomato, had an awesomely crisp crust. Quaff On! Hoosier Red was a comfy match. The beers stretch from light dark, and in flights. The artisan pies go white to red, but old school pizza and breadsticks are here too. Big Woods has wings, sandwiches and salads if it's not a pizza kind of day. Our hostess was kind, and I'm sure the weekends here are busy. We'd come back (on an autumn day up in that balcony if we're lucky!).

On a whim we decided to stop in before a local concert and had heard good things in the past about this location (we have only been to the Speedway one in the past). The servers were friendly and helpful despite being slammed with a long line of those waiting and a full restaurant. We chose to sit at the bar (full service) and found the bartender to be nice, quick and had some great suggestions. We did get a local cider which I enjoyed and then split a Greek salad. The pizzas looked good but the salad was big enough for two! The menu is smaller than in the other venue we have visited, but had a few options and pizza definitely looked appetizing. We would go back if there for another event for sure!

After a day of shopping and exploring Nashville, IN... you gotta stop by Big Woods! Their pizza is delicious! The beer flight was so fun to try. Their specialty pizzas are the way to go. You have to try the flavors they've put together! I only wish we had a Big Woods Pizza around Columbus, OH so I don't have to wait so long to order this again! It's a must in Nashville!

At first, this was my favorite place for pizza and drinks. After my experience last night, I will no longer support this business. We ordered wings and drinks. I asked if I could have a drink on the menu and she says that she can't make it. I order something else and as I'm drinking it, towards the end I see TWO flys! I was absolutely appalled, as that's something I've only ever seen while watching Bar Rescue. Anyway, the wings came and my partner mentioned they tasted old. I couldn't tell and demolished them myself. Well, as soon as I got done eating my stomach felt terrible. When I got home, and this morning as well, my stomach has not been agreeing with me, to say the least. I feel so sick I can't even eat breakfast this morning.

So we glad we stopped at Big Woods during our spontaneous trip to Nashville , Indiana . We had to wait about 15-20 after putting our names down on a Sunday but the wait wasn't bad . There's plenty of shops to explore while you wait for your table . Started with cheesy bread which supremely cheesy ! 10/10 for that . We ordered the Gatherer (10 inch) for 2 of us . Lots of veggies , cheese , and soft crispy dough ! We devoured the cheesy bread so ended up asking for a box for the leftover pizza . Who doesn't mind pizza for breakfast the next day right ?! They also have their selection of craft beers so I tried Strawberry Blonde which was a light beer so enjoyed that. The ambiance is pretty casual , with outdoor seating options.

Great service. Good local whiskeys and beer to choose. They have a great fire roasting for pizzas that put their experience above mists.

The services was good but unfortunately the food was "meh" - both the pizza and hoagie we tried needed more flavor to stand out.

Ask the Community - Big Woods Pizza - Nashville

    Are pets allowed outside?

    No, they aren't.

Is their outside area dog friendly?

Just asked over 4th of July: No. Not any more.

How long is the wait here usually on a Friday?

Just depends on the time of day. As an old host of this place we tend to get hit around 12-3 for lunch. Dinner is more like 5-7. Also being a tourist town with it being seasonal makes a big difference. Definitely recommend calling before to see what… Read more

I couldn't help myself when I saw that they were featuring two special wines, and one of them was a Sauvignon Blanc called Sincerite. I had never tasted this particular wine, but it sounded special! And sincere! It was good, but maybe a little too sweet for my palate. Isn't that sometimes the way with those earnest wines? I visited for lunch when I just wanted a little something. So I got the soup of the day -- a bean and beef number in a tomatoey broth. It came with a fennel-seed-studded roll. The soup was amazing and tasted like something a mom or dad or grandma or grandpa would make: just kind of simple and hearty and good. I also got the Hobnob Green Salad, which is mesclun topped with shredded cheese, mushrooms, cubes of turkey and croutons. I'm not a big fan of raw mushroom slices in general, and particularly on a salad, so I picked off the mushrooms like a petulant child and ate the rest of the salad. My soup and salad went really well with my cold glass of Sauv Blanc. Hobnob Corner was very busy when I visited! Nashville is a place that gets lots of visitors, and this restaurant, which is located on the corner of a busy intersection in downtown Nashville, is no exception. But I was able to get a table right away, even though I was a party of one. There is no bar here, by the way. Even though they were busy, the service was quick and friendly. They also have a pastry selection in a display case in the front of the restaurant. You can pop in and grab a cookie or pastry, if you want.

Our whole family came along, and we were excited to try it out. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich, and while it wasn't bad, it didn't really stand out either -- just OK. Solidly average.
