This place is truly amazing. One of a kind distillery, restaurant, and venue. It is HUGE. Not only the restaurant, but the outside seating and the land. And it is breathtaking. We had a reservation for 4, and were seated a few minutes after our reservation time. Our waiter definitely seemed frazzled: we had to ask for things multiple times and remind him of our drinks, food, and dessert. The food itself was okay - the fries were wayyyyy too fried, not enough potato, but I enjoyed my sandwich, and the others in my group liked their meals. $10 chili was a disappointment - it was so small and WAY to spicy for me to really enjoy. Drinks were good and dessert was great! We sat outside and enjoyed the live music for a bit. Beautiful area. **the next day we did an ATV tour around the grounds with 4 tastings included. This was so much fun!!!! Our tour guide Kathy was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of hard truth, bourbon, and the grounds. Definitely recommend for a fun lil adventure**

Stopped here for a late lunch after walking around Nashville. The venue was huge with some good pictures to be take outside. Service was pleasant and prompt. The place seemed clean and orderly. We started out with pulled pork nachos and hickory brown sugar wings that were all delicious. I would go back for the chicken wings. For my meal I had the smash burger that was delicious that came with French fries. I tried the old fashioned which was so delicious and smooth. I will be coming back here.

We were a party of eight. We started off with the pineapple drink. Yum. 10 out of 10. Everyone was happy with their order. I had the meat loaf & mashed potatoes plus a side of brussel sprouts. The surroundings were beautiful. Best of all was our waitress Shay! We met both owners and had our picture taken with one of them!

Went around 1 on a Saturday, it was busy. Tip: Didn't know you could make a reservation via Toast before going, highly recommend doing! Since we didn't make a reservation prior, we put our name in and they text when our table was ready (indoor and outdoor options available). Once we got notified, we went up to tell them however were advised to get back into the long line with those who hadn't listed their name to get our table. Seemed counterintuitive. Ordered their pumpkin beer (Put a fork in it) which they rim the glass with I believe pumpkin spice which made every drink even more delicious. Bbq pork grilled cheese was super flavorful! Subbed fries for flash fried brussel sprouts ($4 upcharge). Everything was super yummy and the right amount of food. Service was decent overall- our server was new, she did a good job considering how busy it was. Clean and very nice establishment, parking was easy. Definitely would come back.

I walked into the Hard Truth distillery, kind of knowing what I was gonna get when I got there. Beautiful facility. Everything's pristine. I sat at the bar, and I had an appetizer and a salad. The was food was good. The appetizer which was a bread that came out like a candle with butter and spices and honey was really good. And I would have it again and I would recommend it. There were just a little touches that could've made this a five star experience. I had to ask for my own silverware, I had to ask for salt & pepper, I had to ask for a refills on my soda, like I said, just a little touches that could've made it a better experience. The place was you had a decent crowd for a December Sunday night and I can imagine how beautiful the place is during the spring, summer and fall months with the leaves falling. I would definitely recommend it as a date night or as a family gathering.

    The patio area is amazing!

We stopped in for dinner. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The woods and outdoor patio area with stage for live music was fabulous. We chose to eat on the upper deck and we had a great exposure to the live music too. The restaurant was very busy, but we know why. The staff is so warm and friendly and you gotta love a place where everyone pitches in for service and support. It's clear the team really enjoys working here and with each other! The deck gets sunny and hot later in the afternoon so make sure to try and sit strategically where one of the wall fans can keep you cool! We didn't know this and it got toasty for us after a while. We started with a couple of specialty cocktails with a berry spin and the Brussel sprouts starter. These might be some of the very best sprouts we've ever had. It's a real art to get the center of sprouts to be tender and flavorful. These were amazing and the sriracha glaze is so full of Smokey flavor and a perfect kick at the end. Super great. Teresa got the wedge salad and I was going to get the fish and chips, but their fish fryer was down, so I went with my back up, the meat loaf. Teresa really enjoyed the wedge, it was fresh and very nicely appointed with cheese crumbles too! The meatloaf was less successful. I have to say the mashed potatoes were really flavorful and the green beans were perfectly prepared too. The saucy drizzle on the meat loaf didn't taste good to me and it took away from the dish, sadly. I noticed they had a bacon onion jam that they put on their burgers and do I repeatedly ask for a small serving as I knew it would change the meatloaf for the better. After waiting quite a while for the jam what I got was more of the sauce I had worked to get off the meatloaf! Made me sad, I'm a big meat loaf fan, but I left most of the portion uneaten. Really a shame too. Alex was our server and he worked very hard but both the bar and the kitchen were incredibly slow. And it took quite a while to get a second round of cocktails too. I ordered a slice of blueberry cheesecake to go, but when we got back to our BnB, it hadn't come with any utensils so I had to go hunting for a spoon or something in the kitchen downstairs. It's not a big deal really, but it's worth a mention for the future. Easy to drop a spoon or fork into the box. All in all, we had a great experience thanks to the staff's enthusiasm and pitching in, the cocktails, and the super delish sprouts and wedge salad. Thanks to Alex for really working hard for us! We'll likely be back at some point just to try again! Nashville, Indiana is a beautiful area and if you have a chance to get here check out the area and Hard Truth!

We went to the tasting building first and got drinks. They were very good and the place was clean and spacious. For how packed it could have been, the bar area was pretty small. We did enjoy our time here! We then went to the restaurant and got lunch, the food was GREAT. We got fish and chips and a burger. The restaurant was huge and had so many tables. Th service was great and we loved our time here. Will definitely bring visitors back!!

Such a cute venue with a cozy, rustic vibe. The salmon was excellent, moist and well seasoned. The brussel sprouts, however, were a bit too spicy and undercooked for my taste. Service was friendly and the atmosphere made it a nice spot to relax and enjoy the day.

Shari our tour guide was very knowledgable about the disterally and RV life. Loved her spunky personality. I liked the award winning whiskey. But, also learned I am not a fan of Rye. Restraunt wait was 30 minutes. Good burger and fries with a decent Old Fashioned. Part of the area was closed off for a wedding.

We stopped by for lunch on a Tuesday in October. Wasn't terribly busy although we did make a reservation. Dining room itself is vast and dark. We sat outside on the balcony with a beautiful views and gorgeous weather. Service was friendly and attentive. Ordered a whiskey burger and although the menu says they cook to medium as default and medium is what I ordered, that burger was cooked well past done. It was gray and dry. But the toppings were delicious. Truffle fries worth the upgrade. The chili was a tad spicy for our taste. The maple bourbon wings were delicious although it was disappointing to not get a single drum. It was all flats. Despite the menu saying it would be a mix. Also, menu states one pound of wings. It was maybe one pound with the plate. Both cocktails ordered were fabulous. In all, about what you'd expect from a large operation that relies on tourist traffic and therefore doesn't need to maintain standards for returning guests.

I was only able to come for a brief weekday lunch in the middle of winter, but from what I was able to see, this place would be amazing in the spring. There is a huge balcony and outdoor seating area (where the concerts are). The food is very good. The menu is completely different from Big Woods, if you are familiar with their chain of restaurants around the state.

Had a great dinner with friends at Hard Truth Distilling! There was a long wait, but that was completely expected on a holiday weekend. We just went downstairs to the bar, grabbed a Bloody Mary, and listened to live music while waiting for a table. The food is always good, and it's always a fun time too. I love the truffle fries there!

Great little hidden gem in Nashville, Indiana. Up and coming sour mash bourbons with a 300 acre wooden backdrop you'll have a nice afternoon.

I was grateful for her immense knowledge of the city, particularly historical facts. LOVED the trek through lovely Crown Hill cemetery, which is not morbid at all. Carrie pointed out the many grave sites of noted politicians, authors, artists, ex-Presidents and the locally prominent who lie in repose there. The Civil War burial section was also very touching. Ms. Carrie pointed out magnificent churches, memorials, art and children's museum, local eateries (Shapiro's Deli=yummy!) and the White River State Park area. We even got to check out all the Christmas decorations up at the Indy Speedway. She packs a lot into the 3-hour tours but when it's over, you feel a sense of accomplishment that you learned so much about Indianapolis-- a city made all the more beautiful than it already is, by the beautiful ministrations of Carrie and Circle City Tours. 5 YELP STARS.

For future readers, you'll recall that the spring of 2021 was a crazy time, coming off all the COVID lockdowns. Many distillers, who hadn't been open for tours for many months, were finally opening their doors, and demand for tours and tastings far exceeded availability. Tommy apparently has a few connections, and was able to get us the Connoisseur's Tasting at Heaven Hill, and the full tour and tasting at Maker's Mark. The experience was great: The van was large and comfortable, and Tommy--locally raised--knows the area, it's history, and plenty about the distilleries.
