We had a very nice time at the orbed restaurant last night. We walked along the beautiful March on the way to dinner. We are seated outside at a spectacular location. We had boiled lobster, baked lobster, and lobster roll. Everything was very nice. Good, not great. Service was good.

Lobster roll. Not much flavor. Bread bland too.

This was my first visit to the area and I was excited to try the local cuisine being right on the ocean. The restaurant has a rustic feel with a lot of seating. Views are gorgeous of the coastline. Also parking is free for a couple hours. Service was a bit slow. We opted for the lobster rolls and a cup of the seafood chowder plus two IPA beers. The quality of the lobster was good but not much flavor. Very bland and bread average. Also served with bag of potato chips. The seafood chowder was better. This place could use a remodel but at the very least a boost in flavoring the lobster roll and better quality bread for serving. It was underwhelming and disappointing for such a beautiful area. Relying on the free parking and walk on the Ogunquit Trail for their tourist customer base. Very expensive too for two meals and two beers. $96 Recommend trying someplace else if you visit this area.

Large restaurant three different areas to sit we choose to sit in a shaded area with a good view of the water. It was just a quick stop and I was happy all the food came out quickly to get us back up and moving around. The clams were so fresh, I had never seen a clam neck until here **FUN FACT!!! You can eat them** I asked the waiter if I was supposed to eat it, he told me no that most people didn't? Seemed odd so i decided to go further and research it. The texture is a little gummy but the flavor profile is there! P.S don't eat the membrane take it off and put it to the side.

We come here every July. Consistently good food and service. Stunning views. Not big portions so you won't be overly stuffed which is a good thing. Seafood chowder, clam chowder, lobster roll, steamers all good as is the crabmeat roll.

Cute New England setting! Seated right away , out on the patio. Service was fast and food was good! I had Salmon and husband had a lobster roll. Drinks were good & so was dessert! And Jeff is famous after all!

The food at Oar was pretty solid. However, being seafood lovers, we weren't as impressed with the seafood collection. We collectively shared the following items: Clam chowder: 7/10 Oven Haddock: 8/10 Lobster Roll: 7/10 Shrimp cocktail: 6/10 Cheeseburger: 8/10 Half chicken: 7/1 Caesar Salad: 8/10 Cocktails: 9/10 Overall, the experience was decent. We thought the wait/service was a bit slow, but still manageable. Would still likely go back for a second time.

First off very good service! I'd like to thank our server, who was on top of her game. This is a cozy and comfortable place. Yet there was some delay getting a table. Also the bathroom being shut down, am thinking it might make sense to have more than a couple stalls. The lines were rather extensive, as we moved for the kind young men and women bringing food out. Definitely dine on the outside area. The food was alright. I've had better haddock sandwiches, although it was flavorful. Size wise though with potato chips instead of fries, would prefer other options. I will say the clam chowder was above average. This is fun for family and friends, but I hope they'll consider some upgrades. That would help bring them up a bit.

A solid place in a touristy Perkins Cove. Good positions of food. Excellent value for the beer they have on tap. The view is incredible. Would recommend!

I've eaten at Oarweed three times over the last year and each has been somewhere between fantastic and okay, with varying levels of service and quality of food. Sometimes you have to wait upward of an hour for a table, sometimes you can be seated immediately. The whole experience is a little hit or miss. Biggest draw here is the view; you're sitting right on the water in Perkins Cove with an absolutely stellar backdrop to enjoy while you eat. Time your meal here over sunset and you're in for a treat. Food here can be hit or miss. Things I've eaten include: - Seafood chowder (4/5) - Shrimp cocktail (3.5/5) - Crab dip (6/5, but they took it off the menu. According to our server, the owner was too cheap to keep buying the crab. BRING BACK THE CRAB DIP!!) - Artichoke and spinach dip, which replaced the crab dip (3/5) - Seafood trio (4/5) - Crab cakes (3.5/5) - Blueberry beer (5/5) Definitely try your luck here, if for nothing else than the picturesque setting!

Very expensive place to have a drink and lobster roll. Nonetheless, the touristy thing was in. Overall service was great. Lobster was good as well!

5/5 for food, drinks, service and that view We got the rum punch which had to be the best we've ever had! The waitress recommended the crab dip (delicious) and the lobster BLT. We had a bit of a price shock for the lobster BLT ($41) but it was beyond worth it! It was stuffed with sooo much lobster.

First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

We started with scallops wrapped in bacon and their bread service. The butter was sweetened and the bread was great. The scallops with bacon were excellent. My husband enjoyed a few vodka with cranberry and he wasn't disappointed. He chose the crab stuffed shrimp and sincerely loved it. The rice and green beans were great but he was full from the shrimp. I chose the filet with a lobster tail, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was simply superb. Dress was casual and the place was clean. Not thinking they are accessible though as there were steps going in the two doors we used.

Our server Benjamin was excellent. We started with 10 Maine oysters which were well shucked and ice cold. They were sweet and delicious + added two raw clams. Each oyster was labeled with cute wood sticks. Love the Maine oyster names. The Maine course was lobster risotto with balsamic drizzle. The rice was perfectly cooked with good deep flavor. The disappointment was the less than 2 Oz - 1/2 lobster tail sitting on top. It was tender, but a little more lobster pieces in this almost $40 dish of creamy Arborio rice would have been nice. The balsamic drizzle was a great taste touch. Lobster roll - nice presentation and tender lobster on the warm under-buttered hot dog roll - but not enough lobster. Decent fries and small cold slaw. Good flavor but sides should not be an extra charge. Blueberry pie - good but not as good as the nearby Ogunquit restaurant competition. Will return in year 3 - hopefully for a five star shout out.

Like, I'd probably go out of my way just to come back. It is a super unassuming spot behind the building of a gift/craft store and ice cream shop. There is a bar seating and patio. It was not too crowded at 3ish in the afternoon on a Monday; we were greeted warmly and told to choose a table. They didn't have a high chair but they had booster seats. I got a glass of brut rosé and my husband got the Pilsner on draft. Both were refreshing and delicious! I got a half dozen oysters (followed by another half dozen afterward) of the fresh oysters of the day, and also learnt this place is on the Maine Oyster Trail. For good reason too--they were probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. Shucked perfectly, with delicious cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon and mignonette. So good I had to get more. I had a burger for my main, with a gluten free bun and no cheese for dairy free. They also have gluten free fries that are made in a separate frier, bless! My husband got the lobster roll, cold style and said it was absolutely delicious--his first lobster roll and everything he hoped it would be. On top of the food and drinks being great, our server was an absolute gem. So kind, so helpful, he went above and beyond to take care of us and ensure my food was allergen safe. He even went out of his way to get milk for our toddler in a fun kids cup. I truly hope to make it back some day soon!

The owner (Javier) was quick to point out that he noticed in the resi that both couples were celebrating wedding anniversaries and had a "special" table for us if we were willing to wait a little longer. We waited about 15 minutes at the bar and after conversing with the bartender (we really hit it off) we decided the bar was going to have to be good enough for tonight (especially since the lollygaggers were still sitting at our table). Not long after we made the decision to sit at the bar a server came over, dressed like any other server, and apologized for the delay and comped our first round of drinks. We thought it odd that a server would go out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. It turns out that this server was another one of the owners.
