Ribeye special
Sarah B.

We had a perfectly fine time at O.C. White's! We came on a Saturday night around 5 and were seated efficiently upstairs without a reservation. Our server was generally very attentive, the service team had to run food and beverages upstairs but it didn't disturb the flow. We started with some clam chowder, which was thick and hearty. Then we both got non seafood entrees. I got the burger, with American cheese, which was great! My husband got the ribeye special which was topped with peppers. This gave it a sort of fajita flavor. His potatoes were a bit gritty but I shared my French fries. The piña colada was super tasty, always a classic dessert cocktail. The ambiance was cozy, not too loud, even with a large party seated near us. We had a good view of the bay and looking back at the street behind us. Overall a great time!

Sure to being 4th of July of course there was a 30-40 min wait but no big deal. Casual setting with love music outside while you wait. It was nice soothing sounds too I really liked that. After being seated the food came quickly which was unexpected with the amount of people dining inside and outside. The ribs didn't disappoint but the hushpuppies were just ok. I hadn't had a drink in quite a while and the key lime martini was not it. Maybe it's just my taste buds have changed since being sick or the fact it didn't taste like key lime which I love, I had to return it. There was no problem having them take it back which I appreciated and I got the white sangría instead and that was much better. Our server Hanna was great, she had a fun personality.

Had an amazing meal here last night. We sat outside and they had live music which was amazing. The seating outside had fans that were very nice as well. The service was great. We got our cocktails fast and they were delicious and well poured. Our waitress's christina (2 of them) were very kind and attentive. My husband loved his fish tacos and I got the special of the day which was to die for.

It was another very busy weekend in Saint Augustine when we were all looking for a place to eat dinner. Being a group of seven it's hard to accommodate well and OC White's did it with grace and ease. We were seated right away. Our server was very attentive and amazing. We started out by ordering a drink, and they were very good. What we liked most is that they had a selection of a specialty drinks, which made our visit unique. They were all scrumptious. What was even better was our dinner. The fish tacos were very, very good. The fish was tender, and it was not covered with a bunch of batter. It was flaky well cooked and paired well with the mango salsa, served on top. The crabcakes and the clam chowder were all delicious. This is a place that I will revisit every time I come to Saint Augustine because they made seating easy. . . Something that is hard to find in this area. Oh, and they had a live guitar and singer outside, which was a super nice touch.

Caribbean Salad with honey lime dressing

I stopped into OC White's around 6:30pm on a Sunday to order the Caribbean salad and bruschetta to go and sat at the bar with a water while I waited. The female bartender was really friendly and kind. My food was ready in under five minutes, which was such a nice surprise after a long day. I'm usually really basic about salad dressing and was a little unsure about the honey lime dressing with all the toppings, but I took the plunge and it ended up being really good and went perfectly with the fruit and nuts. The Caribbean salad was super fresh and delicious (even when I had the second half the next night!), and the bruschetta was great too. Very crunchy! They have a free parking lot for restaurant customers, which makes it an easy choice in busy St. Augustine. I'd definitely order from here again.

Conch fritters are delicious good size very tasty! We also had the fish and chips with Mahi - wow tasted great. We had a lovely server Barbie. She was attentive and kind. Ambience is both fun, you can watch sports or sit outside and enjoy the beautiful bay view. Would definitely recommend and return.

Calamari

Very nice atmospheres and a warm welcome, with an offer sit outside during the week. Server was prompt and familiar with the days specials and didn't waste any time taking our orders. Started with a standard Fried Calamari, that was served at a good temp and plentiful. Unfortunately it was a bit bland. Next was a nice cup of New England Clam Chowder, that was very flavorful but slightly thicker than I prefer. Fried Flounder Sandwich was good flaky and not greasy, served with seasoned French Fries, which are a big NO in my book. I want to taste the potato and not a mix seasoning profile. Great ambiance and setting with great service well priced for good food.

We were looking for a spot to grab some seafood and saw this in the distance so decided to try it. Now being in St Augustine the prices are not going to be cheap and they weren't here. The portions were very small too unfortunately. I will say though that everything tasted fresh ! My mom and I split the fish and chips and the Cod fish was amazing . The fries were really good too. We ended up getting green colored mimosas which was a fun touch to our lunch. We sat outside and it was a beautiful day and the outside seating is very pretty . Tons of tables and greenery. Our server was attentive and nice.

We had been here 9 months ago and sat outside on their shady patio and enjoyed it. However, we had never seen the inside of the restaurant. Today we decided to return for lunch and sit inside because it was way too hot to sit outside again. We arrived fifteen minutes before they officially opened but the parking lot attendant was nice enough to let us park and escorted us inside the restaurant. They kindly seated us anyway and our friendly server, Julian, got us some waters. The menu has plenty of good sounding appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. They also had three lunch specials. I went with the shrimp melt sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. It came on a soft hoagie roll and had shrimp, garlic, tomatoes, arugula, and melted provolone cheese. A side of seasoned fries was also included. My husband had the fresh catch sandwich. His choices of fish were Mahi, salmon, flounder or cod. He chose the blackened flounder and really enjoyed it. My mother in law had fish and chips. She also got to choose between Mahi, salmon, cod or flounder. She chose the cod and said it was very fresh. The restaurant has both upstairs and downstairs dining, as well as an upstairs outside balcony. I have a feeling we will be back again.

Came here for dinner while visiting the area. The location is fantastic, spacious outdoor patio with live music and plenty of seating indoor in the two story restaurant. The parking validation they offers is also hard to come by for the area. Even though they were very busy, our wait was only 15 mins, which was very reasonable compared to other near by spots. Our server was friendly. I ordered the fish&chips with catch of the day, mahi mahi. The fish was tender, and clearly freshly made. Over all I'd definitely recommend this place!

We enjoyed the live music as we waited for a table. It was really busy, but after about 40 minutes we were seated. The seafood here was delicious. For the appetizer, we ordered the bruschetta, which was a little heavy on the balsamic, but was otherwise good. For dinner we ate the bronzed salmon, which was basically a Cajun crusted salmon. We loved the flavor and the slight spice at the end. We also got the fish and chips, which were light and flaky. The atmosphere itself was lovely and inviting. We would have liked to be upstairs, but maybe that's just for bigger parties. Either way, on a busy Saturday, this was a great option!

This was our first time here and we LOVED it! The service, the ambiance, the food, the live music, the outdoor seating area, all were AMAZING! Everyone thought their meals were great and they even have $3 hard ciders. We might become regulars.

I also got an order of their soup of the season, which was a red curry. It was absolutely delicious. Had great flavor little spice at the end of it as well. For lunch, we split the fried chicken that comes with collard greens and whole cakes. The collard greens are by far one of the best that we have ever had. They use slab bacon and they're absolutely delicious. We've literally talked about them for years and they were just as good as we remembered. Fried chicken was nice and moist and the hocakes cakes were very sweet. For drinks, I tried one of the seasonal ones which was the witches of Eastwick. The gin based drink definitely was sweet, but exactly what I was looking for. My husband got an old-fashioned because they had black walnut bitters when he was really excited about.

Walking in, I loved the vibes! It gave modern tiki bar feeling, it was clean and felt very warm and inviting. They had everything from classic tiki drinks, to modern, to drinks by liquor type, etc. It had the food menu, some information about the bar and how it came about. We ordered a few drinks: Bushido Rhapsody (DELICIOUS), Stars & Sarsaparilla (husband liked it) and their currently rotating tiki drink - Escape from Black Mountain, which serves 2 and is served in a cool mug of the bust of Pedro Menendez. You can purchase it as well! It was so good and felt never ending between the 2 of us drinking it. For food we ordered a couple of apps - Cajun Chicken Eggrolls and the Montenegro Meatballs. When placing a drink order, I decided to order a margarita and my husband ordered their signature coconut margarita. I ordered a coke, too, as I had a taste for one. The only reason I docked stars was because although they were busy, it was almost as if we were forgotten on a few occasions - one being bringing my coke. I had to ask for it a few times unfortunately. We decided to split some food so we could try different things. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, the chargrilled oysters, and split the fish sandwich. The sauce on the fish sandwich was delicious and the fish of the day was some grouper which was fresh and yummy, too! The chargrilled oyster sauce wasn't my favorite flavor. It almost tasted like a steak sauce, but my husband enjoyed it. This is a cool place both inside and out for a younger crowd to have drinks.
