    Title: She Doesn't Want New Business I stopped by this business because I've had some customer tailoring needs for years and wanted to get a start on finding one, while I waited for my oil change to be finishing at the Auto Haus next door. The door states that this location opens at 8am on Saturday's. I walked in at 10am and politely asked the elder woman working "Do you have some time to answer a few general questions about an alteration?" The way she responded with "For what?" Was beyond rude and I immediately had to leave. I cannot stand disrespect from what are supposed to be professional establishments. Figured my new favorite tailor could be next to my only oil change place. I clearly figured wrong. I hope you learn to greet future new customers with respect.

    I haven't found nicer people, better service, or a better cleaner. Nuri's is amazing. Not much else to say. They are great!

The guy kept repeating how he couldn't trust what I was saying like it was a he said/she said between me and the actual company doing the cleaning. 1) Your business is the front facing establishment I am doing business with - this is your responsibility. 2) he sent it back for free, which I was fine with - why the attitude? He made me mad, but it was unnecessary given we had a next step. When I went back to get it, it was almost all out, and he said he would send it back again, but again, it was the attitude. "This is the last time I will send it back for free" like it was my fault it happened - and at that point I'd already made up my mind I wasn't coming back regardless because of how he treats his customers. My husband went to pick up the shirt (it was his) and it was actually all out, but they started telling him how the stain wasn't pointed out the first time and he said that's because it wasn't there when it was brought here. They argued with him saying it was red sauce (no, it wasn't) and then another guy from the back came out swearing at him telling him he was a scam artist. We had arrived at a pretty easy solution, but they upped the tension each time to really piss us off with their attitude. Just be more customer focused!!

My relationship with Nadia and her team began when I needed alterations for a bridesmaid dress on a very tight timeline. After contacting several places, she was the only one able to accommodate my request before the wedding. Over the years, I've trusted Nadia with simple and complicated pieces: formal attire, work wear, and even everyday clothing. She is equally skilled at taking garments in or letting them out while maintaining a flawless fit. What I love about Nadia and what sets her apart from others, is her creativity and problem-solving ability! She always finds a way to make it work. We often brainstorm ideas together to improve the fit, update a design, or even transform a garment into something more unique. Her attention to detail is exceptional, and the finished product always looks as though it was originally designed that way. At this point, Nadia is the only tailor I trust to alter my clothing -- I often joke that she's my personal fashion designer! If you're looking for a talented, experienced tailor who is dedicated to delivering a perfect garment, I highly recommend Fit N Stitches.     Sew & Glow did an excellent job with my wedding dress alterations--I would give 5 stars based on…read morethe work alone. However, my experience varied greatly depending on the staff member, and my final appointment brought my rating down a star. Positives first: the woman who helped me during my second and third visits was amazing--kind, encouraging, and truly made the experience special. She complimented my dress and shoes, asked about my wedding, took photos for me, and I even saw her sweeping to keep the fitting room space clean. She also carefully explained the bustle. Unfortunately, my final visit to pick up the dress was frustrating. There was confusion locating my dress, and while it was eventually found using my receipt, it was stressful. When trying it on, the bustle initially looked incorrect, and I had to reference photos from a prior visit to help fix it. I was also accidentally pinched while the detachable bow was being attached, and it was initially placed incorrectly. The dressing room also was not swept and seeing dark hairs on the floor and pins from a prior customer was unsettling. When I asked for guidance on storing the dress in the garment bag (which I had paid to have steamed), I was given no assistance. Additionally, my dress was placed in a fitting room that was used by another customer while I was paying, which felt unprofessional. At checkout, I felt rushed to leave while waiting for my Uber, and there was no acknowledgment or well-wishes when I left, which was disappointing given the significance of the purchase. The alterations themselves were well done--taken in at the sides, straps adjusted, bust tightened, hemmed, and steamed--for $700, which matched the original quote and seemed reasonable compared to other shops. Overall, it was great alteration work and there was definitely one standout employee. But the inconsistent customer service--especially during my final visit--impacted my experience.

    I've only used Star Glo once, so take me with an appropriate grain of salt…read more I brought 8 items for their periodic dry cleaning. It was right before the holidays, so I asked them what day would be good since I wasn't in a hurry. They told me Monday afternoon. Cool, no problem! When I went for pick-up on Monday, I was told all but one of my items were ready. I was told to come back for it tomorrow. So, tomorrow comes and I'm told the final item hasn't been cleaned at all. They wanted my green light to dry clean it (which is prominently displayed on the item's oversized care tag) because they were worried about an aspect of the item cracking or peeling. Look, I've had this item for a decade. It's been dry cleaned multiple times, in two different countries even! There isn't a single indication of cracking or peeling on the part of concern. I was totally baffled that they never bothered contacting me, didn't notify me on Monday and weren't sure if they should dry clean the item I brought to a dry cleaners that clearly says it is a dry clean item on its care tag. If I had been contacted about this before, at least by the Monday I had come to pick it up, I might consider this a sign of Star Glo's attention to detail and would have reflected positively on them. As it stands, waiting until my second visit to pick up my clothing to open the topic felt like my time wasn't being respected. The other pieces of clothing were cleaned just fine, but I'm thinking this won't be a repeat place for me.
