When I came with another pillow (the same design, just its twin with the same problem), the lady said it was impossible to fix. When I said that she already fixed the twin pillow, that's when she finally accepted it. Now when I'm asking to her do some alterations on three shirts, she said she "wasn't professional enough" to accept them. She gives explanations like "too hard" or "too much work" and I'm left feeling like she just doesn't want my business. It's unfortunate since she is my neighborhood cleaners and tailor.

The guy kept repeating how he couldn't trust what I was saying like it was a he said/she said between me and the actual company doing the cleaning. 1) Your business is the front facing establishment I am doing business with - this is your responsibility. 2) he sent it back for free, which I was fine with - why the attitude? He made me mad, but it was unnecessary given we had a next step. When I went back to get it, it was almost all out, and he said he would send it back again, but again, it was the attitude. "This is the last time I will send it back for free" like it was my fault it happened - and at that point I'd already made up my mind I wasn't coming back regardless because of how he treats his customers. My husband went to pick up the shirt (it was his) and it was actually all out, but they started telling him how the stain wasn't pointed out the first time and he said that's because it wasn't there when it was brought here. They argued with him saying it was red sauce (no, it wasn't) and then another guy from the back came out swearing at him telling him he was a scam artist. We had arrived at a pretty easy solution, but they upped the tension each time to really piss us off with their attitude. Just be more customer focused!!

Another blouse had damage under the bust near the armpit area. When I raised the issues, the owner (Rosario) attempted to blame me for the poor stitching work, which was both confusing and unacceptable. What made the experience especially upsetting was the attitude. I was not met with an apology. Instead, the conversation became defensive and aggressive when I was simply trying to get an explanation for damage to a new garment. There are many tailoring shops in the area. I would save yourself the frustration, poor workmanship, and disrespectful treatment and choose one of them instead.

I arrived to my first scheduled appointment the team was not aware of my arrangement. Every subsequent appointment was met with a different staff member who was not familiar with my dress. Previously discussed alterations were not completed or were completed incorrectly. Staff would tell me conflicting recommendations, then assure me everything would be perfected in "quality control" which never happened. Staff were not equipped to properly complete alterations for my couture wedding gown. The studio and space was filthy. My dress became so dirty with dirt and hair. It appeared that an animal with black fur slept on my gown. I could tell there were watermarks from what I assume is attempted stain removal that was not disclosed to me. The staff members left fingerprints on my gown. They did not wear gloves or handle it with care. The alterations were insufficient and done poorly. They were not able to properly taken the corset of my dress in. They just added large bra cups and told me to use bra tape. The bustle was completed incorrectly with a few flimsy hooks that would not have stood wearing my dress all night. I had to pressure the team to rush my dress to be "finished" on time enough for me to take my dress to another salon where I was charged thousands of dollars to fully clean the dress and also complete rushed alterations. My dress was not ready until the day before my wedding, which was extremely stressful and traumatic. Once again, I would not recommend having bridal alteration at this shop to my worst enemy. It is incomprehensible that this team was going to send me down the aisle with a filthy dress with a bustle that was falling apart and a corset that did not fit me properly. This was the experience of a nightmare that caused me and my family many sleepless nights and lots of tears. They not only wasted precious time, but it ended up being very expensive to correct a damage that was done on the salon's behalf on one of the most important days of my life.

Sometimes they're not ready by closing but they have come by our house to drop off our clothing when we needed it for the next day. It was right before the holidays, so I asked them what day would be good since I wasn't in a hurry. They told me Monday afternoon. Cool, no problem! When I went for pick-up on Monday, I was told all but one of my items were ready. I was told to come back for it tomorrow. So, tomorrow comes and I'm told the final item hasn't been cleaned at all. They wanted my green light to dry clean it (which is prominently displayed on the item's oversized care tag) because they were worried about an aspect of the item cracking or peeling. Look, I've had this item for a decade. It's been dry cleaned multiple times, in two different countries even! There isn't a single indication of cracking or peeling on the part of concern. I was totally baffled that they never bothered contacting me, didn't notify me on Monday and weren't sure if they should dry clean the item I brought to a dry cleaners that clearly says it is a dry clean item on its care tag. If I had been contacted about this before, at least by the Monday I had come to pick it up, I might consider this a sign of Star Glo's attention to detail and would have reflected positively on them. As it stands, waiting until my second visit to pick up my clothing to open the topic felt like my time wasn't being respected. The other pieces of clothing were cleaned just fine, but I'm thinking this won't be a repeat place for me.
