Shirt came back with a big brown water stain on it, which was not there when it was sent in. Went back and showed it to them looking for resolution, but not angry, but walked out angry because of the attitude. The guy kept repeating how he couldn't trust what I was saying like it was a he said/she said between me and the actual company doing the cleaning. 1) Your business is the front facing establishment I am doing business with - this is your responsibility. 2) he sent it back for free, which I was fine with - why the attitude? He made me mad, but it was unnecessary given we had a next step. When I went back to get it, it was almost all out, and he said he would send it back again, but again, it was the attitude. "This is the last time I will send it back for free" like it was my fault it happened - and at that point I'd already made up my mind I wasn't coming back regardless because of how he treats his customers. My husband went to pick up the shirt (it was his) and it was actually all out, but they started telling him how the stain wasn't pointed out the first time and he said that's because it wasn't there when it was brought here. They argued with him saying it was red sauce (no, it wasn't) and then another guy from the back came out swearing at him telling him he was a scam artist. We had arrived at a pretty easy solution, but they upped the tension each time to really piss us off with their attitude. Just be more customer focused!! read more

Do not make the mistake of sending them your clothing for alterations. They lied to me multiple times about turnaround times, shipping timing and pricing. Ghosted me and gave me the runaround after I sent them a pair of pants for alterations sampling, and didn't respond to me for multiple weeks - after they promised a 1 week turnaround. When they did communicate it was rude and with conflicting information. Stay far away from this unprofessional and dishonest company. read more

For the price I paid, i would have expected them to adjust the back pockets to match the reduction in the waist, but they did no such thing. lastly, i asked for an alteration on a skirt and ended up with a totally misaligned hem. no attention to detail at all. read more

Avoid this business! My wife dropped off several of my daughter's professional clothing items for dry cleaning, and two were missing when she came to pick them up - two black blazers worth $150 each. Crown spent several days fruitlessly searching for them, saying whoever they gave them to by accident would likely bring them back. My daughter finally needed her blazers for work, so my wife demanded replacement cost, and even though she'd already paid $107 for the cleaning, no refund was issued and only $200 was offered for the $300 worth of clothing that was lost. Hopefully Crown will lose more than that in future business due to this review, as a lesson in how not to treat customers! read more

Avoid these guys at all costs! We had been going here for many years. Recently brought in several suits and shirts. One shirt came back with a giant dirty water stain on the front. Instead of owning up to it, they said it was our fault but agreed to reclean in twice. While the stain finally come out, they continued to say it was our fault, called us liars and scam artists (trying to get free dry cleaning?) while swearing at us. DISAPPOINTED. I live in the neighborhood and my old dry cleaners closed so I was looking for a new place to handle my dry cleaning. Unfortunately, I've had more than one bad experience with Crown Cleaners. Two of the three times I've brought clothes in for dry cleaning so far they've somehow screwed up my order, making me come back a second time to retrieve the rest of my order. I'm so grateful I found Nena to alter my dress. She is the crowned jewel at Crown Sewing. She was truly a God send, with a love for her work! I bought my dress 2 months before my wedding which included a lot of appliqués around the waist, shoulders and bottom of the dress And Jose who I believe was the manager helped get me in! He was a very pleasant and patient person to communicate with. He answered all my texts promptly. My dress needed about 6 inches taken in on the front and sides. Nena did her magic and figured out how to alter everything from the waist, working with the complicated appliqué work, and keeping the bottom of the dress in tact. She also sewed in Angel charms I bought to represent my father, grandparents and great aunt. She showed an emotional caring with this touch, which she said in her words "I have goose bumps." I think she was brought to tears and took the task very seriously honoring them in her work. I was very grateful. I would definitely drive the 45 min drive to work with her again! A few years ago, I was very pleased with a small alteration that was made to my bridesmaid's dress. I found the perfect jumpsuit to wear to an upcoming event, but it required significant alterations because the sequin jumpsuit was 2 sizes too big. Crown Sewing Cleaners made the alterations and the jumpsuit for like a glove. The staff is friendly, professional, and highly skilled at their craft. This is my go-to location for alternations. TLDR: Crown Sewing Cleaners lost my practically new $400 suit jacket and blamed it on me. I've been going to Crown Sewing Cleaners on occasion since 2021. I was enjoying the work that they do and also enjoyed being able to support a small, local business. Recent to the time I'm writing this review, they LOST my $400 suit jacket. In July, I had given them a few items for cleaning and when they were picked up, I noticed that I had the wrong suit jacket (wrong brand, size, and color). I explained the situation to Jose, the manager, who assured me that he would take care of it. Unfortunately, as I know now, he did not give me the time of day. I had to call numerous times to see if Jose was able to track down my suit jacket. Each time I called, I had to explain who I was again and he gave me a new excuse for why he didn't have time or why he didn't remember who I was. I understand that they have a busy business so I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. After over 5 weeks of calling (he didn't once try to contact me with an update), I considered filing a claim with small claims court since Jose honestly didn't seem to care. At this time, Jose said the owner of the store would offer me store credit which I replied that I was not interested in. Jose's tone changed from indifference and forgetfulness to accusatory. He said it was my fault for not checking the order before I left the store (not sure how that would have changed anything). He also tried to convince me that the suit that he mistakenly gave me was actually my suit, which was completely nonsensical. In any case, I won't be going back. This may be a one-off situation but I wish you luck if you decide to do business with them. read more
