H & m handiwork. I've used them a couple times, they do good work, are nice, inexpensive and patched my bedspread that was on its last legs with this watermelon patch. read more

Great dry cleaner. Prices are incredibly reasonable and the staff are always friendly. They usually ask me if a day four days hence is good for pickup, but I think I've had them get it a little quicker. I've also taken garments here to be hemmed and they came out nicely. I don't have need for another cleaner whilst I still live in this area of town. read more

I have been going to this business for years now and it is one of the best in our area.Great service! Not overpriced and great at alterations and dry cleaning. Thank you read more

Happy with the completed work! Magdalena did a wonderful job creating a must have for your pet chinchillas. I provided her measurements and photos. read more

Amazing service. Good quality. The only reason for 4 stars is that they really need to get some air purifiers in there. Is musty covered up with glade freshener and the panels on the drop ceiling need to be replaced. These couple adjustments could make this place really shine! And make the working environment less harsh! Good prices and the lady who works there is so nice. read more

Quick, great value and always pleasant. I've switched to H&M after using over priced cleaners and tailors. Appreciate Maggie mucho!

I've had two bridesmaid dresses altered here and both times the quality has been good and the price great. The second dress I got altered I specifically asked them to keep the scraps as another bridesmaid needed them for her dress; they said that wouldn't be a problem at all. When I picked up the dress a week later, no scraps and no apology. I asked them about it and it seemed like they immediately knew they had messed up by throwing them away. They then blamed the owner on it, saying he must have tossed them when he was in there cleaning. My question, then, was - why were they on the ground and/or not set aside for me as I had specifically requested? No answer. Completely unapologetic, did not offer a discount or anything. They said they'd call if they found the scraps...but I'm guessing they aren't going to be going through the garbage. I won't be taking another garment here ever again. read more

Almost a year later the staff here is still super nice and friendly as ever and the quality of the dry cleaning remains top notch. However, I've recently tried them for alterations and they are AWESOME. Being 5 feet tall, I frequently have pants that need to be hemmed. I took two pairs to H&M and I seriously did a double-take when I got them back. The hem looked identical to what it was originally, to the point where I initially thought they hadn't hemmed them at all. They are that good. If you don't have your alterations already marked off, they have a nice and private curtained off section for you to try on your clothing and have them measure you for the alteration. For $8 each, this is definitely the lowest alterations price I've seen around and great quality of work! Will definitely keep bringing my alterations here! read more

I've never had a problem here. Happy, friendly, and reliable. Great job with tailoring too!

I genuinely love this small family business! We have been using them for numerous alterations and the results are amazing every single time. Will definitely continue to visit and recommend them! read more

The lady who greet us at the front desk is very sweet always smiling and ready to help! I have been using this place service for years now and my daughter started using their alteration services. Very fast and quality service! Not sure if the nice lady is the owner but last time i was there, the little room was pretty hot depsite the weak air conditioner and i could see her all flushed from the extreme heat though she still delivered 1st class service! We were in there for few minutes and we felt the discomfort of the heat so i can't imagine how she manages all day enclosed there when summer temp exceeds 90s! I know for sure she is a hard worker and owner or not she makes all the difference in retaining satisfied customers like me . Hoping that soon the cooling system in that store would be fixed for the sake of the employee and the clients well being read more

I thought I would test drive this dry cleaner out since it's literally around the corner from my apartment and I had to say goodbye to my favorite cleaner in Boystown, but sadly I was a tad disappointed. I brought 2 white winter coats and 3 sweaters in on a Wednesday and the nice woman at the counter said she'd have them ready by Saturday, quick turn around. I was pleasantly surprised that all 5 pieces only cost $40 all together. Saturday morning rolls around and I headed over to retrieve my clothes, it was a tad early so one of the coats wasn't quite ready, no big deal I'll grab them later. Picked them up later that day and to my own naivety did not look them over before paying, I guess I just assumed everything would be pristinely clean. They weren't. Once I got home I started to put away my coats and realized it looked as if one hadn't even been cleaned at all. Still coffee stains and such on there from last season. I had to take it to another cleaner to be re-cleaned! Check your clothes over before paying for them. I'm giving three stars because the employees were very sweet and it was cheap. Maybe this one time was just a oversight. read more

I took in some items on Monday. Some were for dry-cleaning and some were for alterations. I was able to pick them all up on Thursday morning. The customer service was superb. I have no complaints. The alterations were done amazingly well. The pieces look as if they had never been touched as far as the workmanship and finishing goes. Other reviews I read said that this place has great prices. That part I don't exactly agree with. My dry clean pieces ranged in price from $8 to $12 and my alteration pieces were $18.99. My total bill was a little over $82. I have no problem paying for great service and quality work, so I am satisfied. I will be returning to this cleaners for as long as the quality and service remains as it is. read more

We really like this place! The staff is very friendly and the prices can't be beat. We started going there after reading a Yelp review, and have continued to go since finding them about a year ago. If you have a stain, they will find it, and take it out like nobody's business. Again, I can't say enough about their prices. They are beyond reasonable. You'll pay 2-3 times more at the othes places on Lincoln. So, fellow Lincoln Square neighbors and friends, give this place a try, once you do, you'll be hooked! read more

They did some great last minute pressing for us while we were in town for my daughter's wedding. We came on a Friday and had to have them press a tie for that night, in addition to pressing my dress and my husband's suit for the wedding on Saturday. Very pleased. read more

They are the best ever. I stupidly got white candle wax on a brand new silk shirt -- they somehow saved it! It looks great! They're quick, affordable and so sweet. Also took in a thrift store skirt I picked up and it's now office-ready. Paid way more for sub-par service at other cleaners around the city, and I'm happy I finally found my place. read more

Oh my goodness! I needed a shirt laundered for a memorial service in 2 days. The shirt had a pretty rough streak, and the woman told me she couldn't guarantee she could get it out. As it was quite bad, I totally understood and just asked her to do her best. I came back the next day, and the shirt looked brand new! Unbelievable! When I paid, I tried to tip and pay a little extra for the amazing experience. But the woman refused, and insisted on giving me my change back, to the penny. She stated "That's my job." This is my new dry cleaning/laundry service. forever. Businesses like this need to be recognized and supported. read more

Such kind staff and they will have your dry cleaning done when you want it. And it'll be done well. Definitely recommend them :).

They worked a MIRACLE on a down comforter for a very reasonable price. Cat puke gone brown stain gone. Incredible. I will be back for sure.

Quick, cheap, super-friendly...what more do you want in a dry cleaners? Oh, you want them to give your dog a treat when you bring him by while picking up your clothes? Fine, they do that, too. read more

I've had numerous items altered here. The jeans are always done meticulous. The thread no matter what color matched perfectly and the prices are unbelievably reasonable. Recently began a new job that requires me to wear a suit or dress pants/shirts on a daily basis. I have been looking for a reliable, reasonable drycleaner that is close to me and I think H&M is it. Very friendly, clothes were ready within a few days and only $8.00 to have a pair of pants lengthened! Hope to keep coming here for a long time! read more

$5 basic alterations and friendly/fast service. Exactly what I want in a dry cleaner.

Went to a dry cleaner by my place (Berteau/Lincoln) and they charged me $20 for a hem because they were "extra wide" pants. Brought another pair (same pants diff color) to this place & the woman suggested a drawstring on the bottom so I could wear two different ways and only charged $10! Then I brought a coat to shorten the sleeves for my daughter & she rolled them up which I didn't even think of and it looks super cute! She said, "Now she can wear for two years." Love this place- they're honest good people & will continue to have my business because of it. read more

I liked this place until they ruined my Gucci blazer. Broken button and no apology. I haven't been back since.

H&M Cleaners just performed a last-minute alteration on a dress I have to wear for a wedding. The price was $80 cheaper than House of Brides' quote and they did a fantastic and quick job. The seamstress took off 3 inches of my chiffon dress and let out about half an inch from the side. I tried the dress on last night and you can't even tell it was altered. Thanks!! read more

They fixed the zipper on my skirt and perfectly hemmed a pair of dress pants, and it only cost $20. It only took them a few days, and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be coming here again in the future! read more

Had two dress pants hemmed and some dry cleaning. Prices as follows: hemmed dress pants = $8 each; 4 blazers dry cleaned = $4.50 each; 2 dress pants dry cleaned = $3.50 each. I paid $41 for hemming and dry cleaning of 6 pieces. This place is one of the most affordable places I could find here. Great work on both the hemming and dry cleaning! Definitely recommend. read more

Dry cleaning is always ready within a couple days. I lost some weight recently and to save money decided to get some clothes altered instead of buying new. They did an excellent job and are super nice! I've heard rumors of $8 alterations which isn't quite accurate, but maybe those individuals only had pants hemmed. The two dresses which I had drastically altered were $25 each which is still a bargain compared to other places in the area. I have to pass two dry cleaners before I get to them, but they are worth it. read more

All around solid dry cleaner. They always do a good job with both laundered and dry cleaned items. This isn't quite the premium cleaners establishment, but they are consistently good at a fair price. Easy to park near the entrance. Friendly service. On time. Better than "good enough." read more

I came to H&M as recommended by a friend and I have been happy with every alteration. I have been going to these very nice people for 3 years now. In total I've had around 20 pieces altered, all pants and 1 dress and every time everything was perfect and done on time. I had a skirt cleaned as well once. I'm hoping they do wash & fold because I plan to use them for that too very soon! read more

They did an amazing job on a dress, I also took in a couple more items, it was super cheap, and in a timely manner. The staff is super nice! Excellent, customer service!!! Overall, I will continue to support this local business. read more

As said by others, I find them to be extremely honest and nice people. Service is reasonably priced and items are always done as promised.

I have used H & M for my salon towels. They are really fast, always very nice when they do pick-up's, and are always available if you need a load to be done last minute! I would recommend them to anyone! read more

I got 2 pairs of pants hemmed for $12, you can't beat that! Nice job and they fit great. I will be back for other services!

I dropped off a large load of dry cleaning here a few months back including a dress that needed to be cleaned and altered. Everything came back immaculate including the dress that was beautifully altered and cleaned when I was skeptical as to whether or not it could really be restored after a wild night on a wedding dance floor. I was so pleased with the results and fast work and will certainly be bringing my dry cleaning here from here on out. Also, prices were extremely reasonable - especially the alteration that cost a fraction of the amount that I had previously been charged at another cleaners! read more

I go here about once a week to drop off / pickup my work shirts and pants. They remember my name and are very friendly! Aside from the service being great, the quality is great as well! I drive there and there is always parking right in front on the street. It's pay to park on the street, but i'm in and out so fast, i never bother paying. Couldn't ask for more! read more

For the most part I try to avoid owning clothes that need to be dry-cleaned, because as far as I'm concerned dry-clean-only = never gonna get cleaned. However, after spilling hot chocolate all down the front of my black wool winter coat, as well as losing a battle with cat hair, I'd reached my limit. H&M is halfway between the Western brown line stop and my house. I stopped in on my way home, peeled off my coat and handed it over before hurrying home through the cold. The woman working was so sweet and not at all judgey about my super dirty coat. This was a Thursday night. Saturday morning she called and left a sweet message telling me it was ready. Prices were super reasonable, staff was great, and my coat looks brand new! I couldn't be happier, and I won't let multiple years go by again looking like a hobo/crazy cat lady! read more
