Finally checked out Nuna Ramen in Fremont! Place was clean and spacious, staff were friendly, and they offer a variety of different items on their menu. I went for a weeknight dinner with a group of 6 people and we ordered a bunch of different things to try on their menu. Appetizers set the bar high- every single item was so flavorful and portion size was good! For main, we ordered poke bowl, couple ramen bowls, and katsu bowl and there's nothing bad I have to say about the dishes. I'm stoked I found a good ramen place to go to during this gloomy season.
If you want to have a one on one encounter with flavor, give Nuna ramen a try. This cozy and casual ramen spot in the Fremont area has a delicious combination of food that speaks for itself and service that is quick and delivers continuously! This is hands down one of the best ramen spots in Seattle
This was my first-time dining in at Nuna Ramen, and it was a great experience. Their booths are comfortable, and it's a cool, dark space. Our server was very attentive and prompt. In terms of the food, the squid karage was delicious and crispy. The spicy miso ramen was indeed quite spicy, and the noodles and egg were great. Next time, I would see about substituting for something other than pork as the meat, but it did re-heat really well the next day, so no complaints.
Good ramen in fremont! Service was quick and ambiance is very welcoming. Its got cute darumas too!
This food here was great. Ordered via uber eats. Ramen came with noodles and broth in separate bowls. The ramen was delicious and the broth was savory. The chicken katsu was done perfectly. Crispy outside, juicy inside.
The ramen here is okay, but there's better options around. Service was friendly and quick though! I got the Nuna ramen and thought it was decent. The broth didn't have much depth of flavor beyond salt, but the noodles and pork were good. We also got an okonomiyaki to share, and this was pretty good. Perhaps I'd try some of the other dishes here, but if you're looking for good ramen I'd look elsewhere.
Perhaps one of the best bowls of noodles I have had in Seattle. Just stumbled upon this place during an afternoon walk in Fremont and wow. I had the tofu vegetable ramen and the broth was so think and flavorful with amazing noodles and a hearty about of vegetables. My friend had a poke bowl which also looked amazing we both ate our entire meals. The ambiance was lovely with really nice staff. It was pretty calm on a Saturday afternoon but during an evening with the hard floors and not as quiet as I would prefer music it could get a little loud. Still worth it though!! We enjoyed our food so much I forgot to take a picture.
Went by myself on a Monday evening and got seated without any wait! Sat at the counter seating by the window and people watched. Service was prompt and friendly, and food came out hot and at a reasonable time (10ish min). I ordered shoyu ramen which had a healthy amount of noodles (leaning more on the firm side) and the karaage plate which I had leftovers of. All in all - very pleased and would recommend! $33 for my ramen and chicken, but I left full and happy with leftovers! Bathrooms were clean! Parking is street parking, but you can park on 35th for free street parking!
Street parking which can be tricky during busy hours. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and can easily accommodate parties of 5-6, larger might be a bit more work. QR menus on the table. Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen 4/5 The broth was flavorful, not too salty until near the end of the bowl but helped when eaten with noodles. Noodles were cooked to a nice chewy texture that wasn't too mushy. Toppings included, couple slices of soft pork chashu, corn, menma (bamboo shoots), kikurage (sliced wood ear mushroom), shredded radish, and half a soft-boiled egg, would have liked to see a more jammy egg. The shredded radish didn't add much to the dish but the sweet corn when drinking the soup helped balance the saltiness as well. Overall enjoyed my ramen, would come back to try other ramen
Cozy, spacious seating, timely service, and delicious food! Edamame perfectly salted, silky tofu lightly encrusted with subtle crushed panko(?), and the broth? Robust and rich!
Short version: Food was ok nothing too special about what we tried. Service was extremely slow and seems like staffs are new and don't know much how to manage the place. Detailed version: I came to Nuna Ramen on a Friday evening. They were a little busy but not full. At the door there is a sign to wait to be seated. So we waited. 10min goes by, nobody came to check on us. It seems like only 2 ladys are working and they just never noticed us. One of them finally noticed us and then came and asked us to write our name down at the door while obviously there are open seat just right in front of us. She said it's going to be about 5 min await so have a seat. At this point, I wanted to leave but I was hungry and I really wanted to give it a try. The moment we sat our table was ready (so it wasn't 5min and we didn't even need to wait and seat, just a quick squat). On our table, we had 2 of everything: condiments, hand sanitizer, and even their cleaning spray (the bleu bottle in the picture).

Omg so delicious! I am not going to lie. I was such a tourist today. Stopped at the Fremont Troll for a few pics and then walked to Nuna for their yummy ramen. I tried their spicy tonkotsu and an iced mango tea. It was just perfect. The broth of the ramen is so thick, tasty, and complements everything else in the bowl so well. The serving was also quite big. I didn't get to finish my bowl. It I definitely wanted too. The prices are reasonable, restaurant is clean and staff is so nice. read more

To be fair, this only for the items we ordered. 1. Tonkotsu ramen and 2. Okonomiyaki. 1. Broth was not "rich" as it says and it should be. The broth was like something out of a package-watery w flavor. The egg was over cooked. Yoke has to be runny. 2. Oh my, since when does okonomiyaki look like a perfectly shaped disc, like a Morningstar veggie patty. makes me think this was packaged too. Someone next to us said "this is one of the best ramen places I've been to...". Hmm, I wonder if she's been to Tsujita LA or even local spots like menya musashi or kizuki. Also benefit of the doubt, maybe the shoyu ramen is better. (The okonomiyaki though... yikes) read more
This place was bright and clean. Service was friendly. Prices are typical for the area. Miso ramen was okay, above average but not great. Nuna ramen was fusion and not good. The kimchi taste and smell were stronger than the ramen itself. Gyoza were delicious, chewy enough on one side and crunchy on the other side; the shell was thin and meat inside seasoned well. read more

I came here tonight with a local goer! She gave me the whole run down and I did my thing! Of coarse I looked at the menu before! I got the garlicky delicious flavor wigs with sweet chili sauce! BOMB I ended up getting the veggie ramen, with garlicky broth, no tofu but I wanted corn! So we did a little switch! Delicious! After it sat for. While it was even better! Usually I'm concerned about how much but this was lots of delicious wavvy noddles, my favorite! I was actually very much so satisfied! Event took home some chicken!!! BOMB I will come back! It was cute inside, lots of seating and not over crowded like the hill can be at times. Prime location but not crowded or overwhelming. read more

Solid ramen for the US. I give it all the way to 4 stars because the chashu was very well prepared and also generous. The noodles were also nice and chewy. The broth could use more flavor, I had the Nuna, and it was tasty but mild in flavor in spite of the kimchi and heat added to it. The egg was soft inside (which is great) but could use some sort of marinating, it was just a but plain. read more
TLDR: Not authentic Japanese ramen. Ramen egg is good. Potential for stomach ache. Dimly lit dining area with booths along the wall and tables in the center. Ambient music in background but your voice carries in the open space and echoes a bit. Menu is pretty straight forward. Though it's not indicated directly on the menu, you have the option of choosing straight or wavy noodles for your ramen. Shio Ramen: not as flavorful as you might think. Literally sea salt and water. Pork is not as caramelized as most places so it doesn't have much flavor. Bok Choy is a nice touch and is blanched nicely. I'm not too much of a fan for the slivers of radish in the ramen though--try add a nice crunch but the flavor is slightly bitter. Tonkatsu spicy miso and shoyu ramen: my husband and his friend had these and shortly after both needed the restroom. Not sure what may have caused such a stomach upset but you have been warned. Hard boiled egg topping: yolk not runny and is a deep orange with a gel like texture. read more

Hello David, this is Nuna Ramen. We apologize that you went through…
I have been wanting to try this ramen place for a while and got to come here last night. It wasn't busy when we walked in around 6 pm on a Sunday evening, which is always nice. Parking: street parking, we were able to find parking on the street behind the restaurant. We ordered: - chicken karaage - TONKOTSU SPICY MISO RAMEN Ramen - GARLIC TONKOTSU Ramen The chicken karaage was good, not the best I have ever had, but it was tasty enough! Ramen bowls were a good size, and were pretty good as well. Definitely got my ramen fix! read more

Its exciting to see more ramen shops popping up around the Seattle area. I'm not a ramen expert, but I have had enough ramen to know what I like/dislike. With that said, I felt underwhelmed with the ramen at Nuna. I had the Garlic Tonkatsu ramen. It's described having a rich pork broth with pork, bean sprout, menma (bamboo shoots), bean sprouts, scallions, spinach, crushed fresh garlic, black garlic oil, fried garlic, egg, served with straight noodle. I personally didn't find the broth as rich and flavorful as described. It seemed on the bland side to me. The noodles are skinnier than what I am accustomed to but were chewy and not overcooked. I think I'll have to try a different ramen dish next time since this one didn't win me over. What did make up for the ramen are their crispy chicken wings. These do come out sizzling so let them cool for a bit. The wings are great for garlic lovers (so much flavor!), has a nice crunch and the meat was juicy. I definitely can be content ordering this and another appetizer for a small lunch. With polite and quick service, Nuna seems to be a decent lunch spot in Fremont. I'll have to come back to check out their other dishes so I can update this review. read more

A new ramen joint, you say? Count me in! I was lucky to be able to try Nuna Ramen just days within its grand opening. Located at a previous pho restaurant, Nuna has plenty of space and is located in a very active area of Fremont that is walkable to many other Fremont attractions. As such, there is only street parking. I went with two friends, and we all tried different types of ramen. I had the Tonkatsu Miso, and my friends had the Shoyu and the Tonkatsu Shoyu. All were served with a generous (and thickly sliced) portion of roasted pork, as well as bamboo, onions, and egg. Servings come in a large bowl that is more than enough for one person. My impressions? I think the ramen authenticity and taste is a 4 out of 5. The broth is flavorful without being too oppressive, and I was happy that they didn't skimp on the pork. The restaurant became increasingly packed as we dined, which shows just how much people are truly eager to have more ramen choices in the area. The employees and staff were all very nice and on top of the service. I would definitely opt to come here over Ramen Man in Wallingford. There are other dishes besides ramen, including some really tasty appetizers (pork bao, gyoza, etc.) that I am eager to try. Even if I wasn't in the mood for ramen, I would come here just to try the other kitchen dishes. Thumbs up, Nuna! read more
Service was good and quick probably because there weren't too many customers yet for an early dinner Friday night. I've had plenty of ramen, poke and chicken Karaage in Southern California. This was mediocre in quality and price. See notes below. The appetizers were of a good size so they definitely can be shared 3-4 way. Chicken Karaage- it was fried. It was chicken. It missed the gentle fried crunchiness. oxtail chili fries- tasted like chili on semi-steak fries w oxtail. Salmon and tuna poke bowl- poke seemed fresh. The salad lacked flavor so I asked for some Ponzu sauce on the side. Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen- broth tasted good. Pork was more overcooked than I liked lacking the fatty texture that i usually like. Eggs in ramen are also well done with little flavor. Spicy tonkotsu ramen read more

I love their Spicy Tonkotsu ramen with garlic oil. I think the flavors balance out very well. I'm not going to lie, I'm particularly very picky with ramen because I prefer the rich broth over the lighter ones and sometimes they are either too salty or oily. Out of the many Ramen restaurants in Seattle, I only like 2; Nuna being one of them. My husband and I were so happy when we realized a pretty good ramen joint was just done the street from us. We've had their chicken wings and pork bao as appetizers; and Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee - all very good. Some cons - the chicken karaage we had once had way too much ginger or ginger powder. Also, depending on who is working, the service could be better. Don't get me wrong, I think the employees are VERY nice; but they don't check up on the tables. We often have to go up the register to ask for more water, place other orders, etc. read more

Hi there! Thank you for stopping by on a whim and for your kind…
The greater Seattle area is fortunate to have a variety of ramen shops to dine at. I was in Fremont midweek, saw Nuna Ramen for the first time. Seems I gravitate towards big bowls of soup when I'm run down. Lucked out with parking two days later, despite a hopping Friday night. Greeted upon entry and we're seated within 10-15 minutes at a four-top. Glancing at the menu, there's quite the variety, their spin on ramen and other dishes like poutine. Energy was vibrant with folks engaged in conversation while appetizing, generous portions appeared without missing a beat. That speaks the kitchen crew working in sync with tonight's two wait staff. Our starters included a side salad ($5), Chicken Kaarage (thigh meat, $5), and Garlic Chicken Wings ($8). The latter was a standout...plump wings - moist/tender inside and delicious crispy coatng. The accompanying dipping sauce was ignored, wings were center stage. The menu had eye-catching burgers, but we're here for the ramen. We each selected the following three: Shoyu Ramen ($10) with extra egg ($1), Garlic Tonkatsu ($11), and the signature Nuna Ramen ($11) with an accompanying Mac and Jack ($5). What you select is subjective naturally to one's palate...but key elements of all three were the depth-rich broths, generous vegies, and amazingly tender slices of pork. I can attest coming up on 4am Saturday, my leftover wavy noodles from the Shoyu Ramen sure tastes good as I write this post 8 hours later! Bowls are ample, soothing, definitely delicious, and well worth trying. The dining room remained busy even towards the last half hour of service...no crazy rush, but pair of servers worked the entire space from reception, service, and bussing. Whether you were a duo, trio, or even a large party of 8...that didn't seem to phase them one bit or miss a beat, very attentive and pleasant. Amazing what restorative properties ramen possesses, add in the friendly and welcoming atmosphere... the family breathed a sigh of relief when 'Evil Baby Cat' ceased being extreme Ms. Cranky Pants. Visited several other ramen shops, but Nuna Ramen does a fine job of distinguishing themselves from the pack. read more

The ramen here is really good! Ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen and the broth was good as were the noodles. And the service, even during Covid, was great. However it was not one of those experiences that makes me want to rush back- it definitely will be a place I return to but probably because of friends and family, not because I was seeking it out (understand, there are places out there that I do run to ;P ) read more
I ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen for myself and the takoyaki to share, being slightly hungrier than normal. The ramen came out first, which was a little odd since the takoyaki was labeled an appetizer and was expected to come out before anything else, but the weird order didn't cause any drama so it was fine. The ramen wasn't particularly spicy, so I was glad that I ordered it over the one without any spice, because who knows how flat the other broth would have tasted to me. The pork in the ramen was particularly delicious, probably the best part of the dish, and the broth was very good as well. The raw spinach was a little odd, and I feel like I could have done with some more toppings like corn or bamboo shoots. The egg was over cooked, which was supremely disappointing (dock a half point just for that), but the noodles were nicely cooked and overall the dish delivered on its promise of ramen. The takoyaki were delicious as usual, kind of hard to mess them up, though they could have used more mayo and bonito flakes on top, it seemed like a sparse hand was used. My friend ordered the Nuna Ramen, which came with kimchi, and I must say that the broth I sampled was definitely not as good as my own, with the kimchi flavor really overpowering any other potential flavors in the broth. Would not recommend, or at least I would ask for the kimchi on the side. read more
This place gets props for using appropriate noodles for the different types of broth they offer. TonkOtsu (not Tonkatsu, which is pork cutlet) ramen comes with thin, straight noodles. Miso comes with wavy (Tokyo-ish) noodles. My garlic tonkotsu was a bit shio-karai, but the flavor was good. The tonkotsu miso ramen was hearty and piled with corn (I've never seen corn on Tonkotsu Miso, as I usually see it on Sapporo butter ramen). Gyoza was probably one of the best we've had in WA state. Not too koge, filling wasn't a solid meatball, and the dipping sauce was on the Assari side. Wish we had room to try the black sesame ice cream. I was hoping it was from Fumie's Gold - will make sure I have room next time! Side note: La-Yu is not on the tables. You'll need to ask a server for it. read more

While in Fremont touring we picked Nuna from a Yelp list of nearby places. They did not disappoint! We had a seat right in the shop window with prime people watching opportunities. The spicy pork ramen was great with the perfect heat level. The Pork Bao appetizer was equally good but is definitely sized for a single person unless you share just for a taste like we did. read more

This is a warm and cozy Ramen place in Fremont with couple of vegan options. The veggie ramen is extremely flavorful, easily one of the best I have had. The place can get crowded but not too bad in terms of time it takes to get a seat. There are non Ramen Japanese options as well which seem to be pretty good. Definitely will return for the ramen. As a tip, ask for the chili paste on the side with the ramen. It is not your regular hot sauce and it takes the flavor of Ramen to a whole new level! There is only street side parking. read more
Not bad for a ramen place. I got it to go, so I can't speak to more than the food. I think it's not my favorite ramen in the city, and the tonkotsu flavor was different than it typically tastes at other locations, but it was still a tasty broth/bowl. The toppings confused me a bit -- like spinach on ramen? It's the first I've seen of it, and honestly I can't say it added anything. I mostly just removed it after a few bites. The egg was a bit over cooked as well too. Otherwise, it was good ramen. read more

Until today I had only had 10 cent ramen and pho and I had no idea how good ramen could be. The heat, flavors, spices, noodles and other ingredients were absolutely amazing. Not only that but the service was great as well. They were super friendly, and stopped by constantly to refill water and ask how things were even though it was really busy. read more

Honestly I am surprised at the great reviews this place has, because I did not find it worthy of a 4 Star review at all. Ordered the Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen which was strictly OK, way too much spinach, too less pork, the broth was a bit too salty. I wish they had a low sodium option to this. They also took ages to deliver our order and the place wasn't busy either! Seattle has a ton of other fantastic options for Ramen. I wouldn't come here again. read more
