Came here for a solo lunch on a cold fall day. Good choice! Street parking around the corner. Service was great- everyone said hi and bye to me. Food was great too. Loved the noodles and the broth. Great atmosphere- there's bar styled seating, tables, and chairs facing out to the street.

Came in on a non-busy time @ 5 pm and it was not busy at all. I ordered ramen and it came in like 5 minutes so fast. My only issue is that the egg and meat that weren't in the broth were a little cold so I'm docking down a point. The restaurant is pretty cute and it'd be a good spot on a dark evening.

My father in law wanted to try this spot for awhile so we had lunch. We ordered some chicken karage & edamame as an appetizer. I thought it was tasty & it was very fresh & hot. The edamame is served hot as well with a sprinkling of salt. I ordered the spicy miso ramen, and added bamboo shoots to it. It comes with bean sprouts, corn, tender bits of simmered pork, half of a seasoned egg and green onions. You also get to choose your spice level, I only ordered mild & it was plenty for me. My husband got the spicy tan tan ramen which had a nice rich & creamy broth flavored with sesame paste, My father in law got the Black Garlic Ramen salt based broth, a slice of the pork belly chashu, 1/2 of a seasoned egg, bean sprouts, green onions, fried onions & black garlic oil. Their noodle texture is soft with a slight chew. Our servers were attentive, we spilled a full cup of hot water & they were at our table with a roll of paper towels immediately. I was very appreciative of that. The restaurant is clean and cozy. I would definitely go back for their ramen, and also have a side if karage which is possible by making your meal a combo fir an up charge, you also get a house salad included in the set.

An unassuming ramen place that delivers the goods I had the black garlic ramen -- and it was delicious. It's a tiny place with an intimate but unsophisticated atmosphere. The staff is helpful and friendly. It's a good spot for Ramen, nothing fancy, but ramen done well.

Craving ramen while on our vacation in Seattle, we decided to try this recommendation from Yelp and we weren't disappointed. Ambiance was cozy - pretty small inside with only a few tables (the rest were counter / "bar" style), but we were lucky to get a seat quickly. Service was friendly. The waitress explained the different types of ramen/broth as well as which ones were most popular (FYI it is R4 - Spicy Miso Tonkotsu, R5 - Arashi Ramen, and R6 - Black Garlic Ramen). We opted for R4, two orders of R5, and R2 - Shoyu Tonkotsu. All were great! The tonkotsu broths were creamy and satisfying. The charsiu was tasty. We also started with a honey garlic chicken karaage appetizer and it was yummy! Happy we discovered this place!

This is the best ramen I've ever had, and I've been to Irvine CA. Small place and it's crowded but the service is good.

Awesome, tasty Ramen! Karaage was very good also. Authentic Japanese feel to the restaurant. Service was was very attentive. Haven't had Ramen like this since my last trip to Japan in 2019. Definitely worth a visit!

I haven't had the chance to try out many ramen spots in Seattle yet, but this place kept on being highly rated and recommended to me and so I finally decided to try it out! Located in Ballard, Arashi Ramen can be a difficult spot to get to due to the lack of parking available. It's basically only street parking and it's in a very busy part of Ballard, so it definitely took us some time trying to find a spot. We went there for dinner on Thursday night and didn't have to wait at all! Inside is small and cozy with some spots available on the bar side and other smaller tables around the room. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're trying to host a large gathering, but a small group is just fine! When we got there, the server immediately greeted us and sat us down. They were pretty attentive, making sure we never really had to wait to take our order or clear our table. The food also came out extremely fast! We ended up ordering the shoyu tonkatsu and the black garlic tonkatsu ramens for the two of us. Portion sizes are pretty generous, but just eating the ramen left us satisfied but not too full (which is probably for the best). The black garlic tonkatsu was really solid and they didn't skimp out on the black garlic at all! I liked the texture of the thin noodle ramen as well. I will say that there wasn't anything special about this dish that made it stand out to me that much, but if you're looking for a solid ramen this is the one! My boyfriend got the shoyu tonkatsu, and originally we thought that it would be the creamy broth due to it having "tonkatsu" in its name, but alas it wasn't creamy. Regardless, it was still a solid bowl of ramen that would satisfy any craving. Overall, Arashi Ramen was a solid place to check out in Ballard if that's what you're looking for! They have a good number of options available too with plenty of appetizers to choose from.

Fast-forward to 2026 and decided to dine here again with my guy. I'm sad to say that lightning did not strike twice. We had a reservation for 7:15 and were quickly seated. I had been dreaming about their Chirashi Jewel Box and the Maze-men that I had so enjoyed on my first visit. Our waitress, a sweet and friendly pink-haired young woman named Charity, came to take our orders. I was disappointed to learn that their wine selection was EXTREMELY limited: a house red, and a house white (Chardonnay). I'm not a fan of Chardonnay. She suggested a cherry blossom cider so I decided to go with that. Disappointment number one. Disappointment number two landed right afterwards, when I was informed the Chirashi Jewel Box was no longer on the menu. Ugh. My heart sank, as it was the main reason I had wanted to come back. So I decided on the Maze-men. Boyfriend ordered the Dan Dan Ramen and we asked for the Mt. Cabbage salad as our appetizer, lured by the promise of how good it was on the menu. What we got was literally a pile of plain finely-shredded green cabbage on a plate, with a tiny metal cup of dressing on the side. That's it. No other veggies, no other seasonings. I almost thought it was a joke. There wasn't even enough dressing to dampen all of the cabbage. But we were hungry, so there we were like two rabbits, attempting to navigate the messy shredded cabbage with chopsticks. Our mains arrived. The Mazemen was not as I remembered. There was no egg in it; it was super-oily, and was very spicy yet also somehow bland and lacking in flavor. Boyfriend thought his ramen was fine, but nothing special. Overall it was a letdown and a very pricey one at that. I guess you just cannot recreate an experience. Sigh.

Hit: Garlic short ribs (my partner said these were tender and a good portion for happy hour), Poke sushi roll (good fish quality and taste) Misses: First Ave Roll (sauce was just walloped on top, weak flavors), veggie and shrimp tempura (heavy and soggy batter), pink lychee cooler (artificially sweet with no strong lychee flavor), green tea tiramisu (photo speaks for itself).
