They also told me that they had checked out the car 3 times and it was in fine running order. I took it to the Kia dealership today and they did a safety inspection. It also has a broken engine mounts, the timing belt is cracked, front strut mounts cracking, lower control arm bushings and joints are cracking, valve cover gasket is leaking, radiator hoses are soft and swollen and the motor mounts are bad. . In other words they sold me a lemon. Now they are saying that I was rude to all their employees and threatening. I merely said i was going to arbitrate the case. They are no longer taking my calls and won't reach out to me to fix these problems. I am very upset and I most certainly would not recommend this dealer to anyone. They are deceptive. I could have been killed driving this car with the tires the way they are. They don't care what kind of a car they sell as long as they get their money. After I had paid for the car I removed the dashboard cover because it didn't fit right only to find out the dashboard is falling apart. The car is an all around heap. Shame on you if you choice to do business with this company

This was by far one of the worst dealership experiences I've ever had…read more My family and I had been communicating by email with someone named Alejandro before visiting the dealership. When we arrived, we were greeted by Alex, who never mentioned that he was the same person we had been emailing. He handed us an "Alex" business card, so we naturally assumed Alejandro wasn't there and that Alex was a different salesperson. Throughout our visit, no one corrected that assumption. In fact, the sales manager, Dennis Torres, even told us, "Alejandro isn't here, let me get Alex." It wasn't until the very end of our visit, after I confronted Alex about the confusion, that he admitted his real name is Alejandro and that he goes by Alex for "professional reasons." If that's the case, there was no reason to let us believe they were two different people the entire time. It made the whole experience feel deceptive. The first Volkswagen we test drove had a loud engine noise that immediately concerned us. Instead of acknowledging it or giving us a chance to listen, Alex turned up the A/C, turned on the radio, and kept talking while we were trying to hear the engine. That same Volkswagen also had what appeared to be a backup camera screen, but when the car was put into reverse, the screen turned completely blue because the camera wasn't even connected. We were never told that. We then came to look at another Volkswagen because we had specifically been told it had a backup camera, which was one of our biggest requirements. After taking the time to come see it, we discovered it didn't even have a backup camera at all. We made that requirement clear from the beginning, so it was frustrating to have our time wasted on a vehicle that never met our needs. Eventually, we found a Nissan that checked every box we were looking for. Even after everything that had already happened, we still wanted to buy it. We simply tried to negotiate because we were about $2,000 apart on the price. Instead of working with us or making any effort to earn our business, Alex refused to negotiate and essentially told us to go find another car somewhere else. Between pretending to be two different people, having the sales manager go along with it, trying to distract us from a loud engine during a test drive, showing us one Volkswagen with a disconnected backup camera and another Volkswagen that didn't even have the backup camera we were promised, and then refusing to negotiate on the only vehicle we actually wanted, we left feeling like our time, intelligence, and business weren't respected. Buying a car is one of the biggest purchases most people make. Customers deserve honesty, transparency, and respect. Unfortunately, that is not what we experienced at Ideal Cars, and I hope this review helps future buyers know exactly what they're walking into.

After a major accident that totaled my car, I found myself back on the market for my next vehicle…read morepurchase. I was very leary of purchasing pre-owned as I have heard so many horror car buying stories of shady salesman, selling faulty vehicles and lacking clarity about the true vehicle condition, so I started my research. It took me close to a month of research, before I found a preowned dealership that still honored integrity. I knew the cars I was interested in and found my way to Goldie's. I was working with another dealership, as I had been pre-approved, but let me tell you what made the difference.. the service at Goldie's ! Through text and email, John, my sales-friend, (I call him) was so relatable and communicative. Walking in I have to admit is pretty cool, in the show room they had a old school IMMACULATE Corvette, a skew ball machine, and arcade games it felt unlike any other dealership I had walked in. The owners son greeted me and asked if I needed anything and to let him know if I did! He was the sweetest teenager. When they say Goldie's is a family business they really mean it ! I was working with John and let me tell you he was so transparent and honest it was like a breath of fresh air. I had considered other vehicles they had but he talked me through the maintenance cost, resale value and common mechanical issues each of the cars I had considered. Once I settled on a vehicle he was able to check for me the maintenance records as well as reviewed the carfax report with me. When I took the car for a test drive he told me to take my time get to know the car and make sure it was right for me. I never felt pressured to purchase. I was having a horrible time in dealing with the insurance payout of my previous vehicle and John was very empathetic in understanding my situation. He had set expectations before I came that with the insurance payout being delayed I may not be able to take the vehicle the vehicle home. I was thrilled with the no pressure atmosphere, and just came to take a look at the vehicle in person, with zero expectation to buy. John and his manager worked magic. I did in fact decide to purchase my vehicle and was able to take it home, there is a small cosmetic issue that I requested to have repaired and he called immediately and got the approval to get it taken care of. I'll be returning later this week to have that completed. I'll keep you guys posted after the service appointment. I had a great experience and I feel I got a good deal on my vehicle and, I felt like my business was valued, my concerns were heard and they've made a lifelong customer out of me ! Special thanks to Goldie's and super special thanks to John!

I have text messages documenting that these issues were reported almost immediately after purchase. The dealership is now claiming the check engine light was present when I bought the vehicle. That is false. The vehicle had a cleared permanent P0600 code, and I was told the issue was related to the PCV valve and sensors. I returned the vehicle and gave them every opportunity to fix it. They kept it for 43 days and repeatedly assured me repairs had been made. However, the replacement PCV valve I personally purchased was still sitting in my glove compartment months later. When I replaced the failed PCV valve myself, it became clear the repair had never been completed. A failed PCV valve can cause pressure issues that lead to oil leaks and additional engine problems. I repeatedly warned them about this. Instead of addressing it, they ignored my concerns until the vehicle developed further issues that required repairs at another shop. When I returned to discuss the situation, I was told I would need to pay again to have them inspect a problem I had reported since the first week of ownership. I was understandably upset. This was a vehicle I had dreamed of owning since I was sixteen, and after working hard to finally buy it, I found myself dealing with problems that should have been addressed from the beginning. The most frustrating part is not the mechanical failure. Vehicles can have issues. The problem is being told repairs were completed when they were not, then having the dealership publicly imply that our review was inaccurate. The facts are simple: * Issues reported within days of purchase. * Vehicle kept by dealership for 43 days. * PCV valve was never replaced. * Additional damage developed. * I ultimately paid another shop to repair the vehicle. Buyer beware. Bring a scan tool, verify repairs independently, and document everything. I am grateful this did not result in a catastrophic engine failure, but I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience.
