My daughter treated my girlfriend and I to dinner for our birthdays. I mentioned at least three times it was our birthdays and were told we would receive a free sundae. I have been going to NORM'S for over fifty years. There were six of us. When we seated and we decided what we wanted the waiter took our orders. Our drinks were brought in a few minutes but our entries took over thirty minutes. The soup and salad came after the entree. My daughter had spaghetti and meatballs and it looked like it dipped in tomato juice and had no sauce. I had meatloaf and it was bland. I was given squash for my vegetables but I explained that I had diverticulitis and couldn't have seeds. They offered tomatoes instead. The service was lousy. We never received our sundaes. Three of us were sick later that evening, including the dog who had the left over meat. We asked several times to see the manager, who never came. This was on a Saturday afternoon. read more

I was especially excited because the Never-Ending Pasta Bowl was back, and I regularly visit this Olive Garden in Carson. After ordering two different pastas, I asked Cesar if he could bring me another one before we finished dinner. He looked at me and said, "No, I can't bring you another pasta until you finish one of the pastas you already have on the table." I asked if that was a new policy, and he straightforwardly told me yes. His attitude caught me off guard, especially when he said he was already being "very generous" with me. I ordered the Never-Ending Pasta Bowl, so I didn't understand why asking for another pasta became an issue. I don't know what Cesar was going through or why he had an attitude, but that's not how you treat a customer, especially someone celebrating their birthday. Cesar, you left a bad taste in my mouth, and you really need to work on your attitude and how you speak to customers. Every time I come here, I normally have really nice and friendly servers, which is why I always return. This was my first time having Cesar S. as my server, and I hope it was my last. That wasn't so generous! I will be writing a letter to corporate.... Thank you, Noah, the manager for understanding.
