Store was in top shape with good stock levels. Lets see how they do 6 months to a year from now. Employees were friendly and quite a bit of them were in the sales floor on Sunday. The only complaint is training the employees how to care for the merchandise when packing them for the customer. No one should stuff a crisp cotton blazer in a bag. One of my favorite store for branded apparel and accessories at a discount. Located above Foothill Boulevard in the lovely Hastings Village shopping area in Pasadena where you will find Best Buys, Party City, Bed Bath, and Beyond etc. If you love Nordstrom then you're going to love Nordstrom rack, this store should be in every top shopper's list to shop for clothing, shoes, makeup stuff, even small household appliances. This place has been my go-to store for last minute gifts or last-minute outfits. There's always something to buy for everyone in the family. The store is organized and easy to find products whatever you're looking for. I really like this Nordstrom Rack location. They have a great selection and great markdowns on their merchandise. All the employees I interacted with were very friendly and personable. As soon as the line to check out got long, they immediately called for all cashiers to come up. I've never seen that happen at the Chino or Ontario location. Very nice organization, prices, and friendly employees. Scored some amazing Hudson jeans for my daughter at only $15! I was impressed by this place when I walked in and just as impressed if not more, when I walked throughout the aisles and found amazing gems!! They have so much good stuff here it's crazy. They even have designer items if that's what you're on the hunt for. The prices are fair and they have name brand makeup here, such as Urban Decay for super cheap and it's definitely worth the prices. read more

Located at the Colonies Crossroads shopping center, specifically next to Toys R Us with plenty of parking (but this shopping center seems to be a bit confusing at times... which is a whole other review that will have to save for another time). I came by this Nordstrom Rack location on Tuesday afternoon a little after 1 pm. The store was clean and well organized as I browsed through the shoes and clothing. I was incredibly lucky to score a Marc Jacobs (not the Marc by Marc Jacobs line) bag for over 75% off on this shopping trip. After I had finished all of my browsing, I was pleased to find out that my handbag placed on hold was in the back of the store instead of placed at the register. I have purchased a handbag at another Nordstrom Rack location in the past and they placed my bag at the register. What I did not like about this was that any customer could see it and possibly want to see it/ touch it and maybe even could lie and say the bag was on hold for them. So when it was my time to pay, the employee informed another employee in the back to bring up the bag that was placed on hold under my name. Although this did take a little bit of time (but I didn't wait that long), I would prefer for placing a bag on hold in this manner. Anyways, the employee who brought up my bag helped with my transaction. She was very nice and seemed sad that I was purchasing it because she wanted it, lol. She told me that when she brought it up to the register for me from the back of the store (from the warehouse part of the store) she said she loved the way the bag looked in the mirror. She told me that the purse had just gotten marked down an additional discount today and so I really got an excellent deal. Even though this location is out of the way from the normal places I shop, I would definitely make a special trip just to shop here. This location seems to have a lot of great high end brands in all departments and employees were very nice. I had 2 employees greet me while I was looking through the clothing section and told me to feel free to ask them anything in case I needed help. By the way, starting Oct 1 through Oct 4 is the clear the rack sale. All red tag items get an additional 25% off, which is an excellent way to score some major deals. read more

Worst customer service ever, this lady didn't really try to look for me in your system. Instead, she was worry that the line was too long. Been a customer for about five years with pretty high credit here. I don't understand what her rush was and she kept saying "I'm sorry" but not really doing anything about it, I'm sorry did she forget she could call credit services? Service here is always ridiculously slow. Expect to spend 10-15 minutes in line even if there is only 1-2 people in front of you . As the line continues to lengthen, they can't/won't open more registers even though there appear to be plenty of employees around the registers working on displays, folding clothes, and otherwise keeping themselves occupied as they ignore the waiting customers. read more

I love Nordstrom & Nordstrom Rack but I love purchasing on E-commerce, knowing that I can return it in store if I run into any problems. I had bought a professional top from the Nordstrom Rack website & accidentally taken off the tags thinking that it would fit. But it ended up being too big for my interview & when I came to return it, they refused it. I was looking the managers (Tiffany & Erica) straight into their eyes as they said that they couldn't take the return even though I had my receipt, it was purchased on my Nordstrom card & it was less than 90 days. So if you're looking for great service, even with your returns.. I wouldn't do so in this location. I'm sure most of us shop at Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack because of their excellent customer service & excellent return policy, but it is not so at this location. I know returns don't help the daily sales goals but taking care of your customers should be your #1 priority. That's how great businesses stay alive & keep customers for life. This is the worst rack I've ever come to. I live nearby and have been here SO MUCH in the past 8 years. And honestly it's always the worst customer service. I always return because it's so close to me and I'm reminded to never come back again. The store workers are so rude and annoyed to be working ALL THE TIME. How does Nordstrom allow such terrible customer service? I remember when Nordstrom was once the leader when it came to service but holy moly has that changed. I don't want to single anyone out but I CRINGE when I know I'm going to be helped at the register by this older woman. She's short with dark hair. I unfortunately always get her window with my luck lol. She makes it known that I'm an inconvenience for her whenever I have a return or an issue with a return. I've never felt so consistently uncomfortable shopping at the same store. I'll be going to the rack at the mills from now on. I've always had great service there, and even though it's 20 minutes out of my way to get there, I would much rather prefer to shop comfortably and make the drive. They have good clothing but there customer service could be better. Half of the people looked mad or I had no idea that they worked there. I asked one girl who was behind the counter(she had brown curly hair and was in charge of making announcements) if she knew something about eye shadow and she said, "I don't know you will have to ask." I said who am I supposed to ask? After she stopped being all stressed out she finally realized how she responded to me and tried to help but she should have apologized. She also started telling some customers how she had to leave because she had to be back at 8am, which was inappropriate. Try working until 10pm and being back at 6am. By the way your job is customer service. I probably won't be going back to this location. I would rather drive to Chino Hills. read more

I purchased nearly $1000 worth of apparel over multiple orders from Nordstrom Rack online in February and had it all shipped to the Upland branch. There was initially a delay in delivery of some of the packages. When the packages finally showed online as having arrived at the store, I went to pick them up. Some were there and some were not, even though all their tracking numbers showed they should be there. They told me sometimes it shows as delivered even though it has not yet. So I came back a few days later and the shipments were still not there. This time multiple people were looking for them, as I patiently stood around. After being unsuccessful at finding the packages again they said they probably hadn't been delivered yet. This didn't make sense but I did not want to argue. They took down my number and said they would call me when the shipments showed up. A little over a week later after receiving no call I decided to just show up and lo and behold they were there. I'm guessing they were just misplaced and finally found. I should have raised a stink then but did not. I was just relieved to finally have the packages. Some of the items I purchased were for my cousin who I don't see often, I saw her after they had supposedly been delivered but before I actually received the boxes. The next time I saw her was about a month later, and 2 jackets were too small. By then the 45-day return window had passed. But the receipt said after 45 days items can be returned at the store's discretion. I figured this was obviously definitely one of those cases given it was either their incompetence, or if you believe them, the inexplicable shipping delay, that caused me to have to return them late. But either way no fault of my own, between all the delays I received the packages probably 3 weeks after I was supposed to. Well I was wrong. When I went to return the about $90 worth of jackets (brand new with tags) from nearly $1000 worth of orders, they refused to accept the return, no exceptions. I didn't think just because they are an outlet that the customer service (or lacktherof) would be so terrible. After the initial shipping issue I drove out of my way to have another order shipped to the Ontario store because I no longer trusted them with packages. But after the way this issue was handled, I can't imagine ever trusting purchasing from Nordstrom Rack again. read more

I wanted to write a review specifically about Ali (Alejandra on the receipt). I am a Nordstrom employee and had made a shoe purchase on the Rack's new app where unfortunately, I ran into two problems : 01. I couldn't use my gift cards and 02. My employee discount wasn't working. I still wanted the shoes so I made the purchase and figured I would just take care of the problem at a store after receiving them. I ordered eight pairs of shoes and I knew this was going to be a daunting task of returning and buying back but I had no other choice since I wanted to use my gift cards and I wanted my discount. I am normally a very easy customer whenever I shop since I also work in a retail environment so I headed into the store, dreading what I was about to put the sales associate through. I explained everything to Ali and I apologized to her many times but she did everything with a smile on her face and told me it was okay ! We got to talking throughout this long interaction and she multitasked and completed everything with patience and ease. I am so lucky that she ended up being the person helping me because I know that there are others who would have been completely annoyed with me. To top it off, we had a fun conversation and she said she would visit me at my location when she shops there. Aside from this experience, I do enjoy coming to this location because everything is always very organized and clean. I usually can't stand stores with discounted designer items because everything is a mess but this one operates just like a department store. :) read more

I love this Nordstrom Rack. I never really liked going to Nordstrom Rack and stuck to Nordstrom, but this one is open, clean and organized- so it changed my experience. They seem to be stocked with everything. The only thing I could say they are low on is women's dresses- not sure if this is a Nordstrom Rack- wide thing. If you're lucky enough, Katie will help you out. She is the most upbeat, welcoming customer service representative I have encountered. I needed a Kate Spade purse and usually the purse selection is scarce at other locations but this one had so many different options I couldn't even decide which one to buy. I come to this store for cheap shoes every 5 or 6 months. It's difficult to find a store selling cheap walking slip-ons that don't fit horribly or fall apart immediately. Luckily the Rack's shoe selection and pricing is great. That being said, the rest of the store's pricing varies. Their dress shirts can be reasonably affordable, but I have yet to find any hooded jackets that were considered a good deal. If you are on a budget or are just looking for a good deal, I would definitely recommend checking out the selection here before turning to a different big retailer like Macy's or Nordstroms. read more

I have been a devoted Nordstrom shopper for years and shop primarily at Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com, however, I love Nordstrom Rack for shoes. I went in tonight to get some shoes and tried to return a $20 top I purchased off Nordstrom.com. I had the receipt and tag, however, the tag was not attached to the top and the "logistics manager" Tiffany refused to exchange the top for me, despite the fact that I was purchasing over $180 in accessories. Tiffany was a rude, horrible example of a lack of common sense and the opposite of what Nordstrom was built upon...CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I will not be giving this Nordstrom Rack another dime of my money! I will make the drive down to Brea or South Coast Plaza. Tiffany is a poor representative for the Nordstrom name and hopefully they move her back to "logistics" soon and stop her from destroying the Nordstrom reputation read more

I really like this store! It is very clean and well organized. The sales associates I have encountered at this particular location have been very helpful and really nice!!! I also like that there are a lot of great deals here especially on designer brands which are supposedly sold at prices up to 70% off. I love good deals especially on designer brands!! :) The look and feel of the store's interior reminds me of an upgraded version of Ross or Marshalls. They sell women, men and kid's apparel, footwear, handbags and accessories. They also offer a Nordstrom reward card (which is a debit or credit card that you sign up for) in order to get rewards. For every 2,000 points, you get $20 Nordstrom Note that can be used for future purchases. There are other benefits which I can't recall off the top of my head so you can either look it up online or speak to a sales associate about it. Overall, great place to shop! It is located in the Colonies Crossroads shopping area on the corner of N. Campus Ave and E. 19th St next to Toys "R" Us. read more

I love that they opened in this location! I come about once a month (at least) or whenever they have markdowns or sales. I usually manage to find good steals here and it's not crowded like other Racks. I appreciate shopping in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Some of the staff members are extremely helpful. Two in particular. These two staff members are exceptions to what follows below. My only gripe is that, as a regular customer since June, I've noticed that their staff seems to treat customers differently/unequally. I don't want to prematurely decide on what basis treatment is unequally distributed, but I just want to say that on multiple occasions, I've seen them repeatedly and enthusiastically check in with certain types of people, but when I'm shopping by my little old self, nothing. Just puzzled (or annoyed?) stares from staff. I'd like to say that I'm a pretty respectful and ideal customer (more so than many! I'm the gal who picks up and rehangs clothing if it fell off the hanger instead of leave it behind, etc.), so it especially sucks to feel this way at a place where I like to shop at generally. I realize that this place is new and has diverse people come in and out, but I'd really recommend a change in this respect. People notice these things. Other than that, keep up the good deals and clean/neat environment. read more
