    Response from business owner.
    Alan T.

DO NOT BOOK! EDIT: Business owner responded and continues to attempt to gaslight the situation. I have provided evidence in pictures for others to view and make their own judgement call. You can argue all you want but you can't hide from the truth. I don't even want a refund, keep the $200. At this point, I just want to make sure no other people experience the horrendous experience I did. Calling a customer unhinged because you provided a bad service and refuse to take accountability is surreal. This appears to be a pattern. My GF provided plenty of evidence of the actual service we booked per the screenshots on the other review. It's absolutely appalling that any business is making all kinds of excuses for such an egregious service. Then accusing the customer of only grooming their dog twice a year, and saying that it's bizarre that they would be upset that you did a terrible job. The very least you should have offered was a refund, but your lack of care and how you choose to communicate with upset customers is simply reprehensible. It's understandable when people make mistakes, and had they been apologetic and offered to make it right somehow, I still would've been upset, but I would have let it go. They DO NOT CARE about you or your pup. Don't risk getting caught on the other side of their poor service. Attached is a review from another customer on another platform, and the response of the business owner making excuses and accusations regardless of the evidence provided. Lastly, if a pup is moving around a lot and you were NOT asked to cut his fur off and it was NOT was that in the service request. How does it make sense that you cut his tail fur?! Pup moved around so we cut all his hair off, what?! are you serious right now?! ---- On a more personal note, I was pretty excited to support a latino business and/or groomer, being a latino entrepreneur myself. This experience has been such a let down and sets such of poor representation of our background, particularly in the attitude towards an validly upset customer.

These guys are amazing whether it's JP, Chris, Eddie, they do a great great job. The grooming van can come right to your house, they have everything they need. I've used them for the past few years and my pups always come out looking amazing. We have had a tough time with groomers in the past who didn't know how to groom sheepies but now we are so happy we found this crew. Highly recommend.

    Dylan after her cut!

My girl Dylan look amazing and smell wonderful. The service is friendly, fast and professional. Very convenient and perfect for a busy professional... I was able to have a few meetings online while I waited for Dylan to be finished.... All things wonderful! Thanks for being consistent!

In reply to the owner: Apologizing doesn't make up for putting a hole in my dogs ear that is literally still there. What you should have done is reimbursed me for the entire procedure, and made a new policy to tell owners if something is wrong. Yes I had a specific groom, but the groomer didn't listen and just shaved her fully down, including the areas I said not to. Literally keep her tail fluffy, that was it and that was not understood. Yes I write negative reviews, but if you look at the time it's few and far between. People should be aware when a company or service is not up to par. You charge A LOT of money for poor quality. As a business owner myself, I understand what goes into customer service and hospitality and you did not display that. Telling me you wish you had a Time Machine is so unbelievably unprofessional that every time I tell someone they are shocked. You have other bad reviews, and there's a reason for that. Simply put, you put a hole in my dogs ear that is still there, and when I got her home she had blood on her ear and neck. She was hiding under my bed for two days. You can say sorry all you want, but until you learn how to groom a dog and change your policies, this kind of practice will continue to happen and you'll get even more vocally frustrated customers. Also the text messages are not out of context. I've saved them all and happy to email the full transcript to anyone who wants to read them. Including what I said as a frustrated customer. I have nothing to hide, I just don't want anyone else's fur baby to go through what mine did.

It was too pricy for the service. The grooming was not comprehensive. The place was not near-looking.

Pebbles (blue heeler, 1.5 years old) would never listen to me, would not sit or lay still, and had a lot of other obedience issues that caused her to be stressed or confused. She was a TOUGH dog to train and I was concerned I couldn't find the solution for her to get basic concepts. This view has completely changed since working with RSK9's 3 week program. I would HIGHLY recommend them and their methods - you can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and it's made a huge difference in giving my dog the chance to find real rest at home. They send DAILY updates with photos and videos which was so nice. This isn't a regular class or something you just pay for; it's truly an investment that you and your dog will be using for the time you get to share together. Side note: it's worth doing 3 weeks versus 2 weeks. At the 2 week mark is when Pebbles really started to understand her marks and cues. From here there is so much more that can be refined and Brandi/Perry really capitalize on that threshold being crossed!

Initially we checked out the Ridgeside Instagram account and then after contacting them for additional information we decided to sign Flossie up for the 3 week board & train program. We were given our trainer's contact info in case we had any questions or wanted additional info prior to the start date. Gina picked up Flossie and for the next three weeks we got pictures and videos every day of Flossie's training progress plus also information for us to learn about the training. All of this made the transition back home easy and seamless. Gina's instructions were clear and concise and she also made sure that we understood the hows and the whys of training. Since Flossie has been home Gina reached out to see how things were going and said she was available if we had any follow up questions. We are very happy with the outcome and feel the training really firmed up our loosey goosey training up to that point. Gina gave Flossie the foundational training she needed in order for us to meet our goals with Flossie and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Thought I'd provide a warning for any owners of pets with notable health conditions, like my pom…read morewith severe tracheal collapse. I brought Oliver in today for an evaluation. He had never been to a daycare facility before, at least not since we adopted him. I had my doubts as to whether he would gel with the experience. He's very difficult with people he doesn't know, but generally does alright at dog parks and is fine with professionals like vets and groomers, so I figured with another set of professionals he may be alright after all. And to be completely fair, he WAS difficult. They told me had to be wrapped in a towel for anyone to approach him to remove his leash and took a couple hours to actually socialize with any dogs. This guy has to go in for grooms and vet tech appointments monthly where his leash has to come off and while I have no illusions about him being a difficult dog, he is, this is the first I've honestly ever heard that removing his leash was an issue at all. Considering what followed with his return, and that this is a thing that's never come up before, it's left me wondering how much of it was truly Oliver and how much of it was the staff. When he came back to me he was squirrelly and jumping around with a very thick gauge rope around his neck. As he has severe tracheal collapse, this is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable, as anything that pulls at his neck can exacerbate his condition, or worse, completely cave in his trachea, killing him. The staff member that brought him out admitted she was new here but said that nobody from the AM shift said anything about his severe tracheal collapse, nor was she aware of it being noted in his online profile (it's absolutely a thing I made a note of, along with his medicinal schedule to treat him for this disease). She informed me that he would not be a good fit for their facility. Fair enough. An evaluation is exactly that, and if he doesn't gel I'm not obligated to their services. If that's all it was, I wouldn't be here writing a review. Instead I wanted to offer a warning for any pet owners that may have a dog with severe medical issues or concerns to consider going elsewhere where staff may be more sensitive and attentive and not outright dangerously negligent. That he's not a good fit for Playful Pack, I say the feeling is mutual.
