I LOVE my doodle's summer cut! He looks great. Naked, but great. We'll definitely be back for another grooming session here. His tail looks AMAZING: feathered to perfection. Other grooming places we've been to have left him choppy and uneven, but it looks like the groomers at Colby's took time to carefully groom my boy. Reasonably priced too for his size and poodle mix breed. Thank you to the groomers! UPDATE: Just found out Autumn was his groomer. We'll be back to request her! My dog stayed here for 4 nights, and I paid for the premium package, which included daily report cards. Unfortunately, I only received two report cards, both using the exact same photo of her, despite being told I would receive updates every day. The staff was kind and friendly, but overall the experience felt very unorganized. When I arrived to pick her up, no one seemed to know what was going on whenever I had questions. I had also specifically called ahead to make sure she would be freshly groomed before pickup, as we are highly allergic to other pet hair. Unfortunately, she was not properly groomed, even though I was charged for the service. Overall, while everyone was nice, I was disappointed with the lack of communication and organization, and I probably would not choose to have her stay here again. read more

We brought our lab for a behavioral evaluation. It's part of their process. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, since her visit, she's come down with a cough. Unfortunately, it's hard to evaluate dogs. She's a year and half and never had a cough before. We're a bit disappointed about it. We've had other dogs who picked up when they were younger too. It's a bummer and hard to avoid in public dog facilites. This is why I don't bring my dogs often. I tried the evaluation and on her visit she got sick. I'm not blaming the staff since the owners of the dogs should know not to bring their animals into a daycare if they are contagious. However, the facility should probably do a more thorough check too. read more

I do not recommend this place I've only been here once and never will I return. I brought both of my dogs to this daycare. It was one of my puppy's first time ever at a daycare. I requested that both my dogs be put together in the kennel. When I came to pick up my dogs, they brought out a totally different dog with my other dog. Turns out my puppy was put in the kennel with another dog. And they mixed the dogs up. Again, this was my puppy's first time ever at a daycare and wanted him to have a really good first experience. We talked to Jake, who was the manager at that time. He refused a refund and only allowed a daycare credit. We do not feel comfortable bringing our dogs back after that incident and insisted on the refund to which the daycare continuously refused. The thing is, Being nice goes a long way. Showing up with care and being apologetic with a refund tells me it could've been an honest mistake. There could be a chance I give the daycare another shot in the future. And also I wouldn't have been writing this review. This review is meant to help others by my experience and know there is no customer service or care involved at this place. read more

We (and our yorkie poo) love Colby's Dogcare & Spa. Going out of town for an evening without our 8-month dog, we scrambled to find a place to board her. Michael at Colby's Dogcare & Spa was super helpful. Within a day, we were bringing our dog for a free five-hour assessment. She passed and the next day she was spending the night. After the assessment, we bought the package of 10 nights for just under $600 total. Drop off is at 7 a.m. and pick up is 7 p.m. the next evening giving you freedom to take longer trips. The space itself is clean and every staff member treated our dog with care. Once you check in, they take your dog off the leash into one of several rooms. We love this spot! read more

I've used Colby's twice as a last resort, as my dog doesn't really like daycare/being boarded and neither do I. I prefer for her to stay with a home sitter. But she's stayed at Colby's twice, three nights the first time and two nights during her most recent stay. Colby's is clean and the staff seems friendly enough. However, her most recent stay left me a bit confused. First of all, there are no prices on the website. When I called to get the most up-to-date prices for boarding, even the girl on the phone could only give me a range. Her two night stay with late pickup (12pm) cost around $180. I couldn't even begin to explain the new math they did to arrive to that amount. I dropped my dog off with clearly labeled food baggies: Two for AM feeding, two for PM feeding, a bag of extra food, and a bag of treats. All of the AM and PM feeding bags should have been given to my dog during her stay, but for some reason, when I picked her up, they returned one PM feeding bag as well as the bags of extra food and treats bags to me. I have no idea what my dog ate for dinner one night. Another con is they don't provide pics or video. For the amount this place charges, better service is expected. It's not bad, but it will continue to be a last resort for me and my pup. read more

I started taking my dog to Colby's a few months ago when we had to return to the office. After spending a couple years at home with me I was worried about how she would adjust to daycare, but she really likes going to Colby's. It even helped her get over her nervousness in the car because she is excited when I say she's going to daycare. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They all treat my dog like she is their family. Drop offs and pickups are quick. All around this has been a great experience and I am so thankful to Colby's. read more

Proceed with caution. I left my pup here for a week stay and he returned with poop matted in his fur and an extremely irritated bottom. My pup is 9-months and fully potty-trained and has NEVER had this happen in the care of any my regular sitters so this just let's me know they didn't take him out properly to use the bathroom over the course of days. To keep it short and simple, we brought a happy healthy dog here for 7 days. What I expected to see when we picked him up was a happy healthy excited dog and what we received was the complete opposite. He slowly walked over to me seemingly scared with green boogers caked to his nose and a wheezy cough that was "new that morning." We figured we would watch him through the night to see if he got better but things just got worse. He was shying away from head pets like he had been hit (we do not hit our dog), he wasn't jumping up on us, could barely keep his eyes open and hold his head up, and was growling at us when we tried to pick him up. So we decided to take him to the emergency vet. About $1000 later it turns out he had an upper respiratory infection, which medicine can fix so that wasn't our biggest concern anymore. Our biggest worry was the possibility of something having happened to our dog while in the care of Colby's. After speaking with the manager nothing was done only reassurance that our dog was "well loved." After that statement we were informed that there was "supposed to be a trial sleepover before a long sleepover." This information was never disclosed prior to the 7 day sleepover seeming like they were trying to blame us for our dogs sickness/new temperament. When we originally signed our dog up for this facility we bought a 20 day sleepover package. On this trip we only used 8, given the situation we asked for a refund on our remaining 12 days and were denied with just a "we don't do refunds." Overall, as a pet owner, we felt as if our dog was not well taken care of here. read more

Words cannot explain how HAPPY we are with Colby's Dogcare and Spa. On Saturday we took our Arrow to Colby's for a free assessment day. Jamal, the Pupcare Director, gave us a tour; it was wonderful. The knowledge, enthusiasm and genuine care and concern for the health and safety of the pups is evident. Our Arrow is home a lot and needs socialization. This. Is. The. Spot. We immediately signed him up for daily daycare and are not looking back. The entire staff is awesome. Drop Off and Pick Up is seamless. This week, Miranda and Amber, assisted us with scheduling a full groom and apple harvest facial for Arrow. Who knew...a facial for a pup. Let me tell you, Josh was his groomer and he looks great!!!! Oh yeah...he loved the facial. You can tell that the staff enjoy their jobs and look out after the pups. I normally do not write long reviews, but for this, I had to. If you are considering Colby's...GO!!! If you haven't taken your pup to Colby's...take him/her. If you are in the neighborhood and just need to check them out...GO!!!! I booked two sleepovers at Colby's, the first one being for 6 nights. I packed 8 nights worth of food and left instructions about his feeding schedule and amount of food. Somehow, there was miscommunication re: his food with a pup attendant and I get a call 4 nights in from the manager, Jason, who says my dog is out of food. I was furious as there was no way I could drop more off, I was a 2.5 hr flight away. Luckily, Jason reassured me that he would personally oversee my dog's meal time and went out to buy some things that I mentioned my dog would eat. When I went to pick him up, the person at the front desk gave me a discount on the final invoice but I ended up canceling the second sleepover I had reserved for him. I received a call from the owner a few days later who apologized for how everything went down. I will not be boarding my pup there again, however I do appreciate the efforts made by the manager to rectify the situation and keep me informed throughout. Also something to note, it's extra $$ to have photos/updates of your pup throughout their stay. They upload photos to a private page on fb which you get access to but out of his entire stay, I saw 1 blurry photo of my dog in the background and one of his back. Not a fan of that part. read more

I absolutely love my experience here each and every time with my puppy! He always comes back very happy and practically jumps out of my arms upon arrival with pure excitement to be there. The photo updates are great in the staff and team from check-in to the owner are phenomenal and make me feel seen and make sure my pup is well taken care of. This is the only daycare in boarding that I now use in the city, and the only one that has ever made me feel completely at ease when traveling without worrying about my fur baby. read more

Okay after now 2 years I am at my wits end with this place. I have been trying to get in touch with someone in charge for weeks. My dog has not been fed properly at this business since the beginning, when it was a new business I understood. They figured out new policies. But now it's gotten progressively worse. This year has been horrible. They have not properly fed my pup anytime he has been to Colbys this whole year. (And honestly for even longer than that.) And how do I know this for a fact??? The lunch box I pack him is constantly sent back to me with food remaining in it. I fill out all the forms AND have his feeding instructions written on his lunch box. I don't know what more I can do. I have even called to make sure he is fed and that hasn't worked. I have been waiting now over 20 days for someone the owner or manager to call me back and explain to me what has been happening and nothing. Not a word. I have asked for a refund for my package because this is insane. Then I see on social media the owner left for a trip??? Great to see you can travel while dogs are not being fed food while they are at your location. If you don't feed a kid for 10 hours that is considered abuse....why is it not the same here for dogs? read more

I cannot recommend Colby's more strongly! I used Colby's on 7/18/22 for my dog, Bruce. We signed up for the free one-day assessment to gauge his behavior in the doggy day care area and I booked a bath/grooming treatment while he was there. First, when I arrived to drop Bruce off I realized to my horror that he was slightly past due on a needed vaccine. Michael, the owner of Colby's, took Bruce to the vet FOR ME to get the vaccine so that Bruce could safely play with the other dogs. I was amazed at his above-and-beyond service and kindness. I tried to tip/pay him, but he wouldn't allow it (I of course paid the vet directly for the cost of the vaccine, though). When I came to pick Bruce up, he looked fresh and clean from his grooming. The groomer had called me earlier during the day to get a better sense of what exactly I wanted, which was great. At checkout, they gave me a helpful readout on how Bruce's day went. I also got a tour of the place when picking him up and everything was so new and clean. We will definitely be back and encourage others to do the same! read more

He absolutely loves going to Colby's and I absolutely love him being there because I know he is safe and that the team are looking after him and--most importantly--giving him love and kisses! Colby's is a dream come true for my Soula.  I moved here from Atlanta a little over a year ago and am completely in love with Colby's, their staff, and their magnificent facility.   Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE knows Soula by name, and she could not pull harder on her leash to get in whenever we are within a block of Colby's.  I have no doubt that she would dump our family for Colby's if we gave her a choice.   I cannot recommend Colby's highly enough, and that is not something I would have said about any other daycare I've ever been to. read more

My dogs Charlie and Ding Dong love going to Colby's. The doggy daycare is right around the corner from Swampoodle Dog Park (which they also love). When we walk home from the dog park and pass the doggy daycare, my dogs are always pulling to go to Colby's. They have a great time there and the staff is amazing. Colby's also holds fun events for the dogs. Last Halloween, they had a dog costume competition and parade around the block and each dog received Halloween treats. Totally recommend Colby's Dogcare for daycare and overnight stays! read more

My little "piglet" started going to Colby's a few weeks ago, and we couldn't be happier. Penelope is a little shy, but has really started coming out of her shell since starting at Colby's. It's such a treat to know she enjoys her time with Michael, Ellie, and the rest of the amazing team members. Truly, everyone is wonderful. I asked for a sheet of paper the last time and asked what the charges would be for each thing she listed and it honestly still did not make sense. Colby's has been such a positive experience for my puppy, Valentine, and me. The staff are super thoughtful and clearly have a love of/interest in the dogs. Valentine RUNS into Colby's, so happy to see all her human and animal friends. In other situations, she has some separation anxiety, but never when we go to Colby's. It makes me feel so good to drop her off where she is so happy to be. A cute anecdote that exemplifies this: recently, we were walking past Colby's, and Valentine was straining on the leash trying to go in, though it wasn't a daycare day. A staff member saw her and came outside just to say hi and give her some pets. She knew Valentine by name and was clearly bonded with her, despite the fact Valentine had only been in a few times. It just showed how happy the dogs are to be there and how thoughtful and caring the staff are. read more

I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could. Since there was no option for that, I chose 4, which was being generous on my part. I really have mixed feelings about this place. I first took our new rescue husky in May for an initial evaluation and she passed with flying colors. I then purchased a 10 daycare session package hoping to use them on a once weekly basis. I brought her back for her first all day visit and even purchased a bath which she tolerate well, and no muzzle was used. I was amazed by that since she can be very reactive. However, they missed giving her motion sickness mediation after the bath, plus they forgot to include her feeding bowl from when they fed her breakfast that morning after drop-off. My dog threw up on the way home. The next time I brought her back was today, and I specifically asked the lady who greeted us at early drop-off today if they can give her motion sickness medication with the hot dog, at least 2 hours before I planned to pick her up. They never gave her medication and they found it in their office untouched. The communication seems to be really amiss there. I had also requested "LianFit Day Training" but that never happened as well. IIt seems the staff need better training at paying better attention to the services being requested by their clientele upon check-in. Or they need to invest in a better portal to keep track of each dog owner's request(s). Surely I can't be the only one this has happened to,, or perhaps there aren't that many who request special services or have special needs like my dog. I am so disappointed that these mishaps keep happening and had high hopes. If I can't get my refund for the daycare package, I plan to use it up begrudgingly, and probably go elsewhere after using up the package. I told them I wanted these two incidents elevaed to the manager, but I highly doubt they carried through with that today. read more

I don't usually write reviews but this was an awful experiences. I dropped my dog off at 8:30am for assessment and grooming. I called and was told she was ready 8 hours later. I arrived and she wasn't ready, they had me wait another hour. I came back in and they said she was ready only to bring out the wrong dog and my dog was still ungroomed playing in the kennel with the other dogs. The staff had no idea what was going on and said "sorry this happens sometimes" and then claimed they didn't even have my dog in the system. Wouldn't go back. read more

Cannot recommend Colby's enough. Brand new, clean and a wonderful atmosphere for your dog. You get a free assessment to see if your pup will fit-in with the facility (basically was a nice, free afternoon off for me- which with a puppy was quite the luxury). When I dropped Raven off I was given a quick tour of the facility, which is lovely. Upon my return, I booked a package for day-care which I thought was a great deal. They were also able to groom her that day as well- the groomer here is fantastic! Sweet and patient. The hours are convenient and the staff is incredible. Michael and Stephanie are so sweet and make you and your pet feel so comfortable. I decided last minute I needed Raven to stay overnight, they easily accommodated her, I even got an update and photo of how she was doing. It really put me at ease- being Raven's first night staying over away from me. I would recommend Colby's to any of my friends and family with dogs and HIGHLY recommend you check them out too! read more

I'm very happy that I found this place. I took my 10 pound dog there multiple times for daycare. Unlike some other places that divide the dogs into two size groups, Colby's divides to three, which makes us small dog owners less anxious. The owner and staff is always smiling and responding promptly to my unending questions and requests. The place is brand new, clean and spacious. What I really wished is more personalized feedback at the end of the day, such as score cards or, even better, live cameras. If this place had live cameras, it would be the perfect daycare. When we dropped our dog off for the first time, we got a full tour of the daycare which made it clear the training the whole team has and the care they have given to setting up a great environment for dogs. Each playroom has a mix of play space and individual rest areas which makes sure dogs don't get overstimulated! Our dog, Harley, gets SO excited every time we drop her off - no nerves or anxiety or whining. The team knows her personally and will even post pictures of her during the day. brought my dog in twice for grooming services and both times rules were changed. first it was "we have to have them in for day care", now it's "a nail trim and paw trim are separate." it really feels like they nickel and dime you for services that other groomers include as a given. i've been happier with Petco. it's disappointing because they're more convenient than the big box stores, and i want to support a neighborhood business, but every experience with them has been stressful and confusing. i've never had a firm grasp of their charging structure and always end up paying more than i want to. wayyyy more than i want to. read more

After staying at this facility my dog left with a horrible case of kennel cough. The people who work here are very kind however, the way the establishment is ran needs a great deal of work. When boarding or even just visiting for daycare, pups are not taken for walks, but instead expected to poop and pee inside where they also play and sleep. (Unless you want to pay for walks $5/walk) My dog is 8 years trained in NOT using the bathroom inside. While on her stay I was charged for 3 walks a day for 3 weeks straight. When picking my down up I received her FOOD BOWL with URINE around its rim. Why would that ever be acceptable? And why is my dog sitting in a kennel with pee everywhere !? She has never once had this issue and I am certain her health problems are due to neglect in cleanliness and due diligence on whether or not people's pets are healthy enough for day care and boarding in the first place. I am almost certain she was not taken on all her walks due to the state at which her bowl was. Furthermore, at 3 walks a day there would not be a time where she would feel the need to potty anywhere inside for any reason. I am very upset and my dog is the one who is ultimately suffering. It has almost been a full week since her pickup and she is still experiencing a great deal or cough attacks and breathing issues. My dog has never been this sick and I am very disappointed with the whole experience at this point. read more
