We needed mid-day walks for our young dog until she is able to be alone for a full workday. She loves our dog walker Keenan so much, I don't think we have in our hearts to ever stop the service. The service is very reliable and our dog walker is so wonderful, we feel zero guilt leaving her for a long work day. The app is great and you get great feedback on the days walk. This is a great service. read more

Fetch and Jamie in particular are simply the best. Jamie was our long term dog walker before personal circumstances changed and we miss him every day. He is reliable, provided detailed updates and most importantly our dog loves him! Rain or shine Jamie would show up for our dog and her absolute delight in seeing him was something special. I cannot recommend Jamie or Fetch enough. We love you Jamie! read more

Highly recommend. Great customer service and great communication. Everything is always as they say it will be. You get an update for every visit when they are pet siting plus they send photos. They are easy to work with when you need to make changes. And they are reliable. read more

I have to say I am SO HAPPY I found Fetch! I was going out of town for 3 days and needed a cat sitter. Jenny reached out to me a day or two after I requested service online. We immediately scheduled a time for Jenny to come by the house to meet my kitty and to go over what was needed to get done while I was out of town. Jenny was attentive - wrote everything down. While I was out of town, Jenny updated me daily with pictures and texts - which I truly appreciated! I will definitely be using Jenny's services again in the future and I highly recommend to anyone in need of a pet sitter in the area! read more

Fetch! Pet Care - Jenny the pet sitter provided daily text updates which was GREAT! :) - Dog Walkers Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

Fetch! Pet Care has brought me a huge sigh of relief. I took a new job with a lengthy commute and knew my buddy would benefit from having someone stop in to walk him during the day. Working with Fetch! has been very smooth. After creating an account, their customer care team reached out to answer all of my questions and introduce me to the app. I love the app for its clarity and convenience! I highly recommend Susy. Her care, concern, and attention is unparalleled. My dog is an old dude with a couple chronic health problems, and Susy is on top of it. She takes great care of him and communicates quickly and clearly with any issues. She is incredibly reliable. I know he's in great hands with her. The billing cycles are clear and the invoicing process is smooth. I cannot recommend Fetch! Pet Care highly enough! read more

Thanks to Lenore of Fetch! My husband and I can vacay without worrying. She takes great care of the kitty and even sends pics. We have an auto feeder and waterer for her but she needs a visit and play time while we are gone. I highly recommend this service for homebound pets with owners who are not! Very reasonable in price and excellent quality. Thanks Fetch! read more

My family loves Fetch! Our regular vacation sitter, Connor, is a super star. He's very respectful, very responsive, and incredibly caring. My two cats, Treasure and Evy, adore him. Connor has a code to our house, let's himself in, waters our plants, feeds and plays with the girls, and locks up after he leaves. I've never had cause to worry that anything will be stolen or mishandled. He's extraordinarily reliable, too. Always shows up, always sends photos and always writes a diary entry about his time with them. I love to hear about their day when I'm away on vacation! The Fetch app is super easy and a life saver. We can schedule our house sitting dates in the app, check there for our photo and diary updates, and communicate directly with our sitter if there's any questions or last minute things we forgot. I recommend this company a thousand times over. read more

Fetch is the best!!! My Himalayan cat, Olive, is kind of...high-maintenance... and not one who can be left alone for long periods of time. Fetch has made it possible for me to take short trips and not worry about her. Ashley is AMAZING, and she's been Olive's cat sitter for several years now. Ashley is always available and willing to help me out whenever I need a sitter, anything from a 30-minute drop-in visit or an "almost-overnight" 2-hour long session... Olive needs the attention! Haha. She's reliable and always sends cute and fun pictures of their visits together. Fetch is just a life-saver... they're so responsive and flexible and will do anything they can to match your needs! I truly love Fetch so much... and Olive does too!!!!! read more

Im new to the DMV area and I was lucky to find this service! Im able to schedule a petsitter online and I can request the Sitter. The quote is provided ahead of time and tips are accepted. The first time you set up an appt, the sitter will come to your home to meet the pets, get acquainted with the set-up and learn about your requirements. My petsitter, Nina, will send pics of my cats plus a summary of what occured via email. Ive used the service 3x so far and plan to use the service again soon!! read more

I've used Fetch on multiple occasions and they have always been great to deal with. You can schedule services online but it's also very easy to get in touch with a coordinator via email if you have a particular need or question. Linda, the sitter we work with is wonderful. She's responsive, flexible, reliable and is very compassionate towards our somewhat finicky (and at times, difficult) cats. She responds quickly to emails and sends us informative updates after each visit. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable pet sitting service in the Silver Spring area! read more

Wow! I, like the other reviewer, had never used a dog walker until my move to Silver Spring this past summer. One thing I've noticed in the area is the lack of boarding facilities. At first, I was a little wary of letting someone in my house to walk the dog. But with Fetch, you have nothing to worry about. Every dog walker and dog boarder we've used has been amazing and loves dogs. The highlights: -Scheduling service with Fetch is really, really easy. There's an online form and you can also email the staff directly. Often I email a service request and get a reply within hours, even on the weekend. -Each person who has cared for our dog has tons of experience and seems to love animals. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a walker come by and get home and the dog is so happy, he's napping the rest of the day. I also like that you can meet each walker/boarder in person for an "orientation" before you use a new person to walk or board the dog. -The prices are really fair and all listed on the Fetch website. Whenever you add a service or change a request, Fetch sends you an updated invoice so you know exactly how much you are going to spend. -For people who don't have cars (myself included), Fetch also offers a "pet taxi" which is cheaper than a regular taxi and a great option if you're boarding your dog because the sitter can pick them up and drop them off. -MY FAVORITE: The updates. Even if the walker comes by just for a midday walk, they will leave a note telling you what they did with your dog. When I boarded my pup this past Thanksgiving, I got email updates and even an music file of my dog's funny snorts and whistles (I have a pug). Overall, amazing services that I would highly recommend. I never worry about my dog when he's being taken care of by Fetch. read more

I'll admit it, I was extremely nervous about Fetch and the concept of home dog walks/visits while I was on vacation vs. traditional boarding. In other places I've lived, there are numerous, quality dog boarding options but the culture seems to be different in DC - instead favoring dog walking/house sitting services. An owner of the kennel in the area told me recently that this is because the zoning laws in the area are very strict and it can take 1+ year to get a license to open a boarding facility. Well, when in Rome... I was going on a last minute vacation. Ok not really, I was about to lie. I knew about the vacation but I waited until the last minute to make arrangements for my babies assuming that there would be tons of boarding options. Boy was I wrong. Once I decided that boarding would not be a great option because the lack of options I set about the task of finding a good pet care service. Fetch came highly recommended from fellow Montgomery Country-ers. This was not enough for me or my sweet monsters because my plan was to arrange as many home visits as I possibly could and choose the one who I trusted the most. After hours of phone calls and emails, the only service that answered me and was able to make arrangements for a home visit immediately was Fetch. I was impressed with their efficient follow up and ability to accommodate my poor planning and they sent over an excellent dog walker who I got to know during the complimentary home visit and felt instantly comfortable with. During the home visit, their staff gets to know your pups, what you want, and the general routine. They'll even water your plants and bring mail in. I took off a star because the text updates decreased as I used them more often and my dog urinated in the kitchen, which I can understand happens, but I was not notified and had to find the dirty paper towels used to clean it up and then follow up. I think messes in the house should be mentioned to the owner - especially since my dogs generally have a bladder of steel. I would like the same type of consistency I had with the first service period. At $19/30 minute visit and only $5/second dog, this is a steal. They require 3 visits per a day, but are able to accommodate partial days on the days you're leaving/coming home depending on the flight arrangements. I was thrilled with the text message updates and journal of events that our walker left. Since then, I have used Fetch several more times. I like that we have had the same dog walker since we started using the company and that they get back to me immediately whenever I request a service via email. They charge your credit card at the end of the month for your services. If you're like me and your pups are your children, feel safe entrusting them with Fetch. read more

I have used Fetch's services twice now and am so thankful I found them (via Yelp). They are terrific, the sitter we've had (Barbi) was so great. She left us notes about every visit, and texted me photos to let me know how our cats were. She even took on this assignment at the last minute when we had to leave town suddenly due to family illness. Our cats are obnoxious and difficult, but Barbi didn't seem fazed in the least. I would recommend Barbi and Fetch to anyone in a heartbeat. One tip--for busy times (ie, thanksgiving) be sure to book before the last minute! They do get all booked up. read more

We used Fetch for the first time over Christmas break for about a week and a half. Our low maintenance cat, Potato, was taken such good care of by Rachel. Rachel was fantastic! The free consultation was great as it gave us a chance to meet one another and to show Rachel around the apartment. Rachel came over every other day (the minimum visits required by Fetch). She made sure the food and water was refreshed, her litter boxes well cleaned out, brought in our mail and watered our plants. Potato hates all humans, so Rachel couldn't get her 30 minutes of playtime in. Instead, Rachel helped tidy up the place and vacuumed the loose litter around the boxes. That was so appreciated, especially after coming back from a trip. I will definitely use Fetch again the next time I am out of town. It was well worth the price ($20 a visit) to have peace of mind while we were gone. read more

I've used Fetch Silver Spring for my cat-sitting needs for five years now, and I really can't speak highly enough about their cat-sitting services (can't really speak to their dog walking/sitting, although I'm sure they do great with that as well!). They are very quick to respond to scheduling requests and questions, and always give an ETA of when they expect to get back to you if they can't answer immediately. They also send out reminders near peak vacation times, which I appreciate. Nina C. is the sitter who usually watches my cats, and she is great. She sends me brief updates and pictures every day that she stops by, which I appreciate, and I know if I ever have any special instructions (special medicine, watering plants, etc.) they'll be done without me having to worry about them. And my cats like her, which is probably the highest praise I can give her! Would definitely recommend - I don't know if they're the cheapest (I haven't compared rates in awhile), but I find their rates for pet-sitting very reasonable, and the peace of mind while I'm away is 100% worth it. read more

We've been using Fetch for our dog Roscoe since 7/2011. This is the best decision I've ever made. Their walkers (we've had 3) are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The company is amazing, and the customer service is outstanding. In the time using them I've never once had a problem. We started using them when we got our first dog, about a month into using their service I was in a car accident on my way home from work. Our dog was 6 months old at the time and it was not a "dog walker day" I was so panicked that I texted our walker, and told her what happened. Without missing a beat she came to make sure our dog was OK. After that I called my husband to tell him what happened (priorities right?). That experience sealed my opinion of Fetch and their employees. They treat you and your pets like family. read more

Fetch! and Caitin took care of my older cat for 2 weeks. He was always independent, but getting more and more anxious about being alone as he got older, and at his age of 19+ this was the first time I looked for a sitter. I asked Fetch lots of questions and took lots of time but the staff was always patient and informative and pleasant. I loved the updates and the closing note from Caitin. I didn't need the full service visit, since my cat didn't need walking and had an automatic feeder and waterer, so on that score it was al little pricey just for the TLC visit (but I understand that home visits require a minimum investment of time, etc). But they were professional and trustworthy and loved my cat. I recommend Fetch! highly! read more

I like how they leave notes after each walk. I got a dog walker to see how my dog would do for when I start taking evening classes but I don't think I will get one from here again. The dog walker, while it was a nice thought, tried to clean up my dogs mess when he had a stomach problem. He didn't quite mention that on the note or what he used to clean it. So I threw my dish washing sponge away just incase because it did look suspicious. Also, he put a doggie bag in the kitchen trashcan when he could have just threw it away in the dog park or doggie stations outside. Kind of gross so I cancelled my service. They never asked why or anything. read more

I love Fetch! I feel so comfortable leaving my cats in the care of Colleen. I trust her and Fetch to take care of them when I'm away. I've been a Fetch! Customer for almost 8 years now and everyone I've worked with has been phenomenal. My clowder of kitties love their visits with Nina and even my skittish older gal runs to the door to say hello (she runs AWAY from the door when most people enter). My dog, Zoe, enjoys her walks with Nina. Nina is very patient and kind with her and Zoe is happy to see Nina when we're out and about in the neighborhood. Zoe has also had multiple in-home boarding visits with Colleen and Bill when I am out of town. It's clear that they love Zoe and care for her as a member of the family. The peace of mind I get form knowing my critters are well cared for is tremendous. It's great to be able to schedule service online and I appreciate the responsiveness of the staff. read more

I have been using Fetch's dog walking services for over a year now and have nothing but great things to say about them. They always respond within a few hours, if not immediately, to my requests. My dog walker, Valerie, is amazing. She walks my baby Dakota usually twice per week. She leaves me detailed notes every visit. She has even gone out of her way to send me a picture of my baby when I was out of town and he was sick b/c she knew I was worried about him. Although I have never used an alternate sitter, Fetch always offers one if Valerie isn't available on the day/time that I request. I like that all the payments are automated by credit card so i just get charged at the end of the month and don't really have to think about it. I also like how they send me updated billing information any time I make a change to the schedule so I am never surprised about my bill at the end of the month. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they are a little pricey and they charge me more for living in the 20852 zip code than the 20850 zip code, which I thought was kind of annoying. But obviously it's worth the price to deal with trustworthy, honest, reliable and professional service. Nothing but the best for my pup! read more

I have found Fetch to provide very quick feedback about availability. Prior to our initial service, the sitter came over for a brief orientation with my cat. I felt (and feel) confident leaving my pet in Fetch's care. I also appreciate that Fetch sitters provide brief updates by text message while I'm away. It's a very easy process! On this aspect of service, they easily earn 5 stars. However, it seems that Fetch does not always honor the requested time of visit. When you sign up for services, Fetch discloses that they cannot guarantee a specific visit time. A couple hour window is understandable. Still, I requested a morning visit (8-9 a.m.) and that visit was confirmed by the company, so I expected that my pet should at least be visited in the mornings while I was gone. It's easy to think that cats are somehow "less maintenance" than dogs--that is my only guess for why a sitter would come at 12 p.m., 5 p.m., and 2 p.m. for agreed upon morning services over a long weekend. I will follow up with Fetch about this issue prior to my next service, but I will use the service again considering ease of use. I assume that the visit schedule wouldn't vary so widely for a dog owner. I just have a pretty needy cat who I am sensitive about leaving, and I want to make sure the time bands are honored if I'm going to pay for the service again. read more

We've now been using them for several months for regular walks each week for our 2 pups. We really value and trust our walker, India! She is wonderful and patient with our boys. Fetch overall is great to work with. Very easy scheduling and great communication. UPDATE: We've now been with Fetch a year and a half, and have had several walkers since. We are still very pleased with the level of service. Everyone we deal with is very professional, helpful and quick to respond. Alonso is our current walker and he leaves great reports on our pups' daily walks and even texts a quick update when he's leaving. On the rare occasions he's not available, Maureen has been a fabulous sub walker for our boys. We really love having peace of mind while we're at work and everyone at Fetch has taken great care of our pups. read more

I never considered a pet service until a job change made it necessary ... now I wonder what I ever did without one! I'm in my 10th month using FETCH and could not be happier with them. They are always there - even last minute - when I need them, whether for afternoon walks, dinnertime or even overnights when I travel for business. FETCH is really good about making sure I'm comfortable about any sitter before sending them (like if a sub is needed). I have an assigned sitter but if she's unavailable (rare!), there's always coverage ... so I'm absolutely certain I can get support as my crazy schedule shifts. Most importantly my dogs LOVE the sitters - they are like part of our family. read more

I've used Fetch once for cat sitting and plan on using them again! My cat absolutely loathes traveling and when I go away for holidays, bringing her along would be a huge stress on her and I both. Fetch matched me with Jordan, who sent me a text when she stopped in and gave me a quick update and photo, which was fantastic. Scheduling with Fetch was really easy and they're super responsive and organized. If you're gone for a longer stretch of time, they require a minimum of visits every two days (sometimes I can leave the cat home with food and water for a max of 3 days at a time), but their prices are affordable so it isn't an issue. read more

Fetch! Pet Care - Dog Walkers Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

The Fetch team and Scott (dog walker extraordinaire) are incredible! I have a large, rambunctious dog and was very hesitant to trust anyone to walk him but because I was gone for so many hours, I needed to find someone to do a daily mid-day walk. Scott has been incredible with my dog and I trust him 100%. I see how much my dog loves him and how much Scott really cares for my dog as well. He is so much more relaxed when I get home and he has better manners when I walk him now. I am unfortunately moving out of the area not being able to have Scott keep walking my dog is very very sad for me. The whole team is so quick and responsive and I could not have asked for a better experience. 5 stars (if there were more I would give more!). read more

I have been using Fetch! for almost a year and do not have a single thing to complain about. I love the personalized care my pets receive and the peace of mind the service provides while we are away from home. Our cats both require daily medication and the sitters truly take the time to understand our pets' needs and ensure that there will be no hiccups while we are away from home. Fetch is awesome. I have been using them since February for my frequent, short vacations and business trips. It's super convenient! We love Fetch. We've been using them for our dogs since about 2008, and they've never let us down. They're a little pricier than the self-employed dogwalkers we tried first, but it's totally worth it for dependability and consistency. We have an assigned walker who is great and who is adored by our stranger-danger dogs. When our sitter is sick or on vacation or unavailable for any reason, Fetch lets us know ahead of time, assigns a substitute, and gives us an opportunity to meet the sub if we want. We have never once been left high and dry without a scheduled walk for any reason. When we've had unexpected and sudden schedule changes of our own, Fetch has always been able to accommodate the changes--adding or subtracting walks with no problem. It's an intense relief.
