I noticed that the pet nanny had really good reviews so I decided to contact her and left her a voicemail. She immediately returned my call, and we decided to meet on Sunday. When I met Dale on Sunday, my pets immediately warmed up to her (good sign)! She was ready to start walking my dog every day starting Monday. I went thru no hassle, she made my life SOOOOO EASY. Dale started coming every day, and would leave me with long notes (A REPORT CARD ON MY DOG & CAT) telling me all about my pets and what the visit entailed. She took photos of my dog everyday, and printed it on the report card itself... IT WAS SOOOOO CUTE. Dale is amazing. One time she had an accident which caused her face to swell up and she needed stitches. I told Dale that she should rest and not come but she insisted to come and walk my dog. We got a recommendation for Sandy at Heart and Home, just needing someone to look in on Otis once a day or so. She was great. Not only keeping Otis in check, but bringing in the mail and paper, turning lights off and on to make it look like someone was there while we were out of town - above and beyond. When we got back, there was a good note about how things went, plus she left us her laser pointer to borrow for a bit since she had been hanging out playing with Otis while she stopped by - just in case he needed a fix, I suppose. Nick never missed a walk, always showed up during the allotted time, and sent me pics of my dog enjoying the outdoors while I was stuck at with. He always locked up after himself and set the alarm, and left Win with fresh water. If I happened to be home, Nick was pleasant and cheerful when we greeted each other. If that wasn't great enough, in the last couple of months my dog has been struggling to walk. Nick gave her shorter walks, more time to sniff, more pats, and, as things got worse, even carried her up multiple flights of stairs when she couldn't do it herself. Having been a long-term client since the previous management under Lincoln and his brother, I was surprised & frustrated by the unprofessionalism encountered during our visit (social evaluation). I recently requested a week-long boarding schedule for pet for next week. Following the request, a staff member emailed for a new social evaluation. Despite the stress of recent travel, my pet completed the evaluation successfully. However, the process was abruptly ended & pet was ultimately disapproved--not based on behavior, but due to a personal personality clash between myself & the staff member, TT. Furthermore, TT mentioned additional daycare fees outside of the standard boarding costs. It became clear the decision to reject pet was based on TT's personal opinion of our interaction rather than pet's conduct. My pet is friendly, loving & has historically been a model guest at this establishment. The current lack of a standardized, objective process for securing daycare & boarding is concerning. It is highly unprofessional for a pet's approval to be contingent upon a staff member's personal feelings toward a client. The level of service & care experienced today is incomparable to the high standards set by previous management. I hope you will review the evaluation procedures to ensure they are based on objective criteria rather than personal bias. I do not recommend the Dog Stat under the current management. New management has drastically changed its climate.
