I cannot say enough great things about Jessica and Lisimba! Having recently moved into the neighborhood and now spending more days in the office, I was concerned about how my young pup would adjust. Dog Child to the rescue! From our first meeting, I have been so impressed with their professionalism, compassion, and overall help with the pup, not to mention a warm welcome to the neighborhood. They spent some time getting to know my pup and slowly integrated her into small group walks. I am grateful for the positive socialization she is getting on her walks and feel like she is in good hands with Dog Child. My husband and I (and I'm fairly certain I speak for our dog as well, from what my neighbor tells me) absolutely love Lisimba and Jessica. First, what prompted me to write this: We had a crisis situation with our dog a few weeks ago. Our dog ingested something he shouldn't have and Lisimba found him sick when he came by to walk him midday. My husband received a call at work. Lisimba had quickly taken him to the vet and he stayed there until we arrived. It was handled absolutely perfectly. (Our dog is ok!) Also: Our dog gets a group walk mid-day during the work week. When we started, he was recently adopted. He wasn't used to walking on a leash and was a strong puller and a squirrel chaser. Right off the bat, Lisimba assured us that he would work with him on any commands and reinforce anything that our trainer suggested. His progress with these commands is frequently mentioned in our daily report cards. It's also so much fun to receive a daily picture of him and his buddies (some of whom I have now met walking in the neighborhood with their owners). Not only are Lisimba and Jessica professional and knowledgeable, but they love what they do and I know they really care about my dog. They have gone out of their way to show this and I couldn't be happier with their service. We'll continue to work with them as long as our dog child needs a midday break. read more

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! We recently brought home a golden retriever puppy and needed someone to help take him out during the day while my boyfriend and I are at work. Enter: Jessica and Lisimba. They started off with a consultation where they got to know our little guy and helped us work through a good schedule. Since starting the walks, they've blown us away with their consistency, dependability, and professionalism. The daily emails with updates on the walk and a photo are icing on the cake. It's clear this is more than a job for them, and knowing our pup is being cared for by someone who really cares gives us such peace of mind while we're away. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Dog Child is amazing. The owner Lisimba and his wife jessica run the operation and are also the walkers. Since day 1 they have been professional, prompt, kind to our puppy, and super flexible. When our neighbors see us walking our dog, many of them pull us aside and say that our dog walker (Lisimba/Jessica) is friendly and great! We have used their dog walking, potty break, and overnight stay services and have not been dissapointed. At the end of every day, we receive a Report Card that tells us such things as the energy level of the dog, if he was happy...content...or sad at the end of the activity, and some additional comments to let us know how the day went. They even include a picture from the walk! Barney, our little puppy loves both of them and is super excited when he sees them walking other dogs around town. We feel lucky to have found Dog Child and will continue to use them on an almost daily basis. read more

Lisimba and Jessica really care about the pets and make sure to walk them in groups with other dogs who are similar to yours. They also spend about a week or 2 getting to know your pet on an individual basis before introducing them to a group. I love their daily report card that includes what business the dog did, any behavior issues, as well as a picture of your pet on the walk. I cannot recommend Dog Child highly enough. Jessica and Lisimba, the owners, truly care about the dogs they walk and the dogs love them. I have found they go above and beyond. When our baby was born, they went out of their way to make sure our dog got plenty of exercise and extra attention (and treats). They live in the neighborhood, which is a plus for me, and we see them out and about often. On the business side, they are organized and run everything very professionally. I have found them to be very communicative, and flexible when needed. They email you a report every day that includes a picture from their walk. I am so glad we found Dog Child. When I first met Lisimba I was so blown away by his gentle kindness, love of the animals and how they responded to him I had to tell everyone one I knew!! At that point Jessica was behind the scenes. Lisimba and Jessica have been walking my dog Cooper for the past three years and I cannot recommend them enough. They love Cooper and he is always excited to see them for his midday walk. They do a great job of pairing Cooper for walks with other dogs in our neighborhood and always send detailed reports of the day/walk's activities. Dog Child is as perfect a dog walking service as I can imagine. Lisimba and Jessica have been walking my 14 year old dog for several years. He's had some medical and mobility issues they have handled with the utmost skill, knowledgeability and sensitivity. They love all dogs in general and each individual dog for who he or she is. They are utterly reliable, flexible, and communicative. They match dogs well for socialization purposes. They have an efficient and accurate billing system. They come through in emergencies and go the extra mile. They are discreet, unobtrusive and have a flawless sense of boundaries. They do a thorough vetting of substitute walkers when they take a short vacation and train them in gradually in advance. The three I have had over the years have all been excellent. My dog was a stray and is often very cautious with people she doesn't know. Not so with Lisimba. She's all over him. When we're walking and she sees him walking another dog, i think if she knew how, she'd stop traffic to go see him! he's fantastic with her. I am completely comfortable leaving her in his care. Lisimba of Dog Child is wonderful! I was referred to him by a friend who has an older dog, who needs special care and attention. He takes my dogs on daily mid-day walks and sends a report card with picture every evening. My dogs are high-maintenance but Lisimba is caring and patient with them. They love to see Lisimba out and about, as well.
