Greg and his team were always professional and caring with our senior foxhound. She was excited for their visits whether it was a trot through the neighborhood or a sniffing of the front lawn. They tailored their visits to her preferences and abilities. They sent summaries and fun pictures of their adventures. She had a major seizure during a visit. Her walker contacted me immediately, and Greg made arrangements for her other walks to allow her to be with my dog while I could get there. Her walker provided amazing care to my dog and a detailed account to the vet. They were dedicated and supportive on a most difficult day. I recommend them highly. read more

Tail Wagging is the best, and we love Todd! He walks and has also stayed overnight with our pups and they love him. We get great reports of how they are doing with adorable photos, and they get great exercise multiple times a day. Thank you, Todd!! read more

Tail Wagging Dog Services (Todd and Greg) have been amazing. They have taken the time to get to know my dog and her own unique personality. Rain or shine, the walks are interactive and thoughtful, versus just a brief outside "potty break". Whenever she sees either of them, she turns into a wiggle butt and is just so happy and excited to see them! I can tell they have earned her love! When I first contacted them, they took the time to meet myself and my dog and talk about goals of care for my pup. I wrote up a little "get to know my pup" document, including commands, and not only did they read it day one, but they used the commands that I had written down and worked to reinforce them. Whenever I tell them my goals for the week, they give me specific updates on how my pup did with the goals. After each walk, you get a picture of your pup, a paragraph update about how your pup did, and GPS tracking. Scheduling is easy too. I'm so grateful to have found them. I've recommended them to all my dog friends, and will continue to do so. Everyone I have recommended them to have been impressed with their services. The care and thoughtfulness my pup receives is above and beyond, and I can't recommend them enough. read more

I've had a wonderful experience with TailWagging VA. Todd was so patient and understanding in the beginning as my dog was getting used to a new routine. Our current walker, Gabriela, has been fantastic -- my dog absolutely loves her! The team is reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. It gives me real peace of mind knowing that my dog is well taken care of while I'm away. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and compassionate pet care. read more

Tail wagging is great. Haley was one of Greg's first customers back in 2017. We don't live in their coverage area now but Greg was so great with Haley - even when she was a total jerk! read more

Greg and the team at Tail Wagging are absolutely fantastic! We were searching for a dog walking service when offices opened back up for our senior cocker spaniel (15F) and dalmatian puppy (2F). We have been happily using them for over a year now for regular walks during the week and the occasional multi visit days when my partner and I were both on the road. Greg is great about ensuring his walkers are high-quality, trustworthy, and reliable. The staff is always willing to accommodate the needs of our dogs and are great about communicating updates and questions. Every walk comes with a summary of the walk, the route they took, and some excellent pictures! Overall a great service and well worth the business. read more

Greg and Tail Wagging Dog Service has been a huge help for our family as we transition back to work. The convenience of having someone walk and play with our pup while we attend meetings and finish projects is a real time saver and stress reliever. Greg and Becky have both walked our pup Murphy and they are always timely and follow-up with a text and fun photos to report back on their walk. We can tell Murphy has so much fun with them! I would highly recommend their services! read more

We met Greg while walking our dog, Maple, and ended up using him and his team for time when my husband and I both had to be in the office. We loved Mary so much, she sent us cute photos of Maple on the walk, the route they went on, and then gave her a treat when she got home. It's so convenient and a much better price than doing a full day of daycare (which our dog doesn't like anyway). They're a great team and we're so happy that we met Greg that day! read more

Can't say enough good things about this company. When I moved to Virginia from New York City, I found rover to be pretty useless (in my specific neighborhood). I work crazy hours and long days so I needed a reliable team to take my pup out mid day and sometimes a walk with dinner included depending on my work schedule. I happened upon this company one day when my apartment building was hosting a doggie friends event. The owner and all his walkers take really good care of my pup AS WELL AS send updates on when the walk begins, the route they take, any potties on the walk, and when they return. They send me pictures like the one I've attached. And they're reasonably priced! 10/10 would recommend to fellow pup owners looking for a good walking service. read more

I can't say enough great things about Greg and his team. They having been walking our active black lab Olive for close to two years now. They have never missed a walk, they are always on time, and Olive loves going on walks with them. Scheduling is a breeze and they can usually always accommodate last minute requests as well. Having Greg and his team as a back-up for our busy schedules is the BEST when it comes to making sure Olive is getting to activity and stimulation she needs during busy work weeks. We really could not do it without Greg and his team! If you are in need of a dog walker look no further - Tail Wagging VA is simply the best! read more

Greg and his team took my dog on walks for almost a year and the only reason we are no longer clients is that we moved out of state. If I could have brought Ollie's favorite dog walker Jordan with us, I would have! She took Ollie on long walks around our neighborhood and sent detailed updates, pictures and maps of the walk. I would recommend Tail Wagging Dog Services to anyone looking for a responsible and kind dog walker in the Arlington area. read more

We reached out to Greg's team during a medical emergency to help us with dog walking and he really delivered - came in immediately, supported us to get his team to add us on, along within his regular schedule. He explained the process but also was mindful of our situation throughout the entire process. The walks are great: they come in, they are so kind, they do a full walk and leave these amazing messages with photos - like the attatched - to make you feel at ease. (Matt you are so creative, we loved your matching mustard & ketchup outfit comment!) And our dog loves every one of their walkers. For a shy girl, this was impressive. We plan to continue after our emergency as Greg and his team are highly personable to families in need as well as their regular clientele, highly communicative and detailed in their care, and immensely professional to work with. What more can one ask for? :) read more

Tail Wagging Dog Services - Dog Walkers Near Me

We have been using Greg and Tail Wagging for our dog since summer of 2021 - when he was just 6 months old! My wife and I got our pup in March 2021. We both were working from home pretty much full time at that point, but we knew one day we would both be heading back to the office (at least part time). We started with just one walk per week to get him in the rhythm and get him familiar with having a walker, and now as our lives have crept back toward normal and offices and jobs require us to be in person more, we typically use Tail Wagging 2-3 days per week for a mid day walk. Our labradoodle Enzo absolutely loves Greg and his stable of walkers. Every walker that Greg has on his staff seems to really, really love dogs. It's clear when the walkers come in our apartment to walk our boy, that he absolutely loves them. He will squeak and squeal and shake his butt in excitement. (Due to cancelled meetings or other random happenings there's been times when we have ended up being home when the walker comes.) Greg does a great job introducing new walkers to dogs as well - typically if it is a newer walker or staff, Greg will do the first walk or several walks with them to gauge mutual comfort and introduce them to different dogs' personalities. Because all dogs have their quirks and no two dogs are exactly the same! Greg makes scheduling and payment super easy. I think he sends a weekly invoice via Venmo. We will get a text every Friday morning asking what days and times we need a walker for the following week, and then on Sunday we get a followup text with our paired walker and schedule. Greg usually tries to pair your dog with the same walker or couple walkers week in and week out - which is great as our dog has really developed a bond with some of the walkers and gets very excited to see them! Plus you know they're trustworthy and you don't just end up with a revolving door of random people in your house. The walkers all seem to keep a pretty brisk pace. We usually opt for the 30 minutes walk, and our dog (we check in on him on a wifi camera) usually comes back in and passes out after each walking session! In summer, the walkers will stick to shaded areas. And they even usually top off the water bowl before leaving too! Overall, I would say I could not ask for a better dog walking experience. I have heard way too many horror stories from people, of walkers being rude/pushy, not knowing how to handle dogs in certain situations, or (worst case) just not showing up when scheduled. Tail Wagging and Greg (the owner) have been nothing but professional and easy to work with. He's made our transition from pandemic pup parents to semi-normal scheduled dog parents much easier. Would recommend to anyone! All photos are various photos sent by walkers during their "Check-In Texts" over the months. read more

We were in search of a reliable and trustworthy dog walking service with my return to work almost 18 months ago. We feel so very lucky to have discovered Tail Wagging Dog Services. Our dog Asher absolutely loves his regular walker Todd, but is excited when he is visited by any of the dog walkers as they all give him great attention and care. I was nervous as Asher is a big dog and was still a puppy, but he has always been matched with a walker who can handle his strength and puppy energy at the time. There is always a text message before and after the walk which is reassuring. Oh and photos are consistently sent too! Tail Wagging Dog Services - Dog Walkers Near Me

Tail Wagging Dog Services is the REAL DEAL. I was lucky enough to meet Greg and a few of his dog walkers at a "Yappy Hour" hosted at the Ballston Quarter about year ago. At the time I had a dog walking company but wasn't blown away by their services. After speaking with Greg and watching some of the dog walkers interact with the dogs/owners at the event I decided to switch over to Tail Wagging Dog Services. It was clear that everyone on the team was professional and super passionate about pups! I used to be a dog walker myself, so I know something special when I see it. Greg personally came over to my apartment and met with my dog Tess, went over how things work for dog walking, and listened to my needs. From there we started regular walks the next week. Everything has been absolutely seamless and easy on our end. The report cards that the dog walkers send after the walks are informative and brighten your day while you're stuck at work (or stuck working from home). With everything going on in this COVID-19 world, it's been a huge relief to have someone help me out during the day while I'm working from home. So far I've had Greg and two other walkers romp around town with Tess and she loses her mind when she sees them. She loves them! Can't recommend this company enough. Big thank you to the Tail Wagging Team! read more

We have been using Tail Wagging Dog Services for about two years now and live them. Greg and his team walk our dog Dexter on a weekly basis. Greg and his team are extremely dependable and make sure to communicate when they're on their way, during their walks, and post summary walk. Dex gets excited when Greg and his team come for a walk! read more

We love love love Greg and Tail Wagging Dog Services! He and all his walkers are always on time and our Australian Shepherd mix adores them. He gets walks about 3x weekly around lunch time, but anytime we've had a dinner or event in the evening or any kind of special request Greg has been able to accommodate us. Great customer service and just overall really easy to work with. Definitely worth switching from Wag or Rover to Greg if you're in the area -- it costs roughly the same, but you don't have to deal with flakey walkers and Greg tries to stay consistent with who walks your pup. He loves our dog like his own. Can not recommend highly enough!!! read more

I would certainly recommend Tail Wagging Dog Services to anyone in Arlington! Greg runs an awesome company - well organized and friendly. Greg sets up the next week's schedule starting on Friday, and you always know exactly what to expect. The walkers arrive like clockwork, and you can rely on them to give your dog some exercise and fresh air. What I like even more was how friendly and approachable Greg was when we started using his services (unlike quite a few other options that we looked into when we moved to the area). You can tell that Greg and his staff are dog people. We get a text each day when our dog is picked up, followed by a summary and a photo or two when he is dropped back off. You can tell that the descriptions of the visits are accurate based on your dog's personality. Our dog gets some much needed exercise and you can tell that as he has gotten to know his walkers, he enjoys the outing. Add that to being reliable and friendly, and I would say that this business is a great find! read more

I've been super happy with the walks my dog has received over the past year that I've been a client of Greg's. Greg does a great job organizing my dog's walk schedule every week, generally managing to keep her with the same walker every time so that she can develop a good relationship with him. My dog is reactive and yappy, but Greg's walkers do a good job keeping her safe and well-behaved. The service is extremely reliable -- on the rare occasion a walker has canceled last-minute, there's always been a substitute ready to go. The walkers are responsible about unlocking and re-locking my home and very polite to my building's concierge. I won't be switching dog walkers as long as I live in the DMV! read more

My family and I love Greg and Tail Wagging Dog Services. I have a pretty high maintenance breed of dog (English Bulldog) who can't handle long walks or walks in too high of heat, but he needs to go potty and he loves the companionship. Greg understood Riggs' needs from day one and bonded with him immediately. Greg is also the dog walker for my parents and their two 4 lb. doggos, and he's been wonderful with them as well. He takes everyone on their little jaunt, ensures they go potty, gives them pets, and has even cleaned up messes and wipes paws. To say he goes above and beyond is an understatement. I recommend Greg to all of my neighbors and friends who need dog walking services, and I highly recommend you use him as well! read more

Greg and the tailwagging service were fantastic. The initial intake and visit were easy and comprehensive. Greg worked with me to establish exactly what I needed in terms of services offered. He worked with us to get the coverage we needed even though it was a busy week. We had a great discussion beforehand talking about what was expected in terms of care and he was happy to continue the commands and basic care that our dog was accustomed to. Greg was very communicative and we came up with a plan for watching and walking the dog while we were away. He let me know exactly who was coming and when, and worked with us to determine the best way to get into our apartment and stop in to perform the walks. In terms of the actual service, I was very happy. The prices were reasonable and the communication was impeccable. Given that we were out of town it was great to be in constant communication with Greg and the other walkers. They let us know exactly when they were coming and how long the walk was, and left a personalized note and pictures about how the walk went. They worked with us in terms of ensuring that all facets of our dog's care was attended to while away, answering any questions and fulfilling small requests. Overall a fantastic company. Flexible, communicative, and very effective. Will definitely be a return customer. read more

We have used Greg and his team multiple times when we have gone out of town and highly recommend. Our dog gets anxious when boarded, so staying in his home environment is ideal, but it's super important that we find someone who is responsible to come into our home and gives Sherman lots of love, exercise and company. Greg and his team do just that! They usually come over for a few walks a day and make sure Sherman has food and water. We absolutely trust Greg with our "grandma dog" - she's 13 years old and needs a little extra TLC. Greg is great at giving her attention and love, treats, gentle walks, and now that she's older, her meds, too. And he sometimes splits the walks with Nema - and Nema is also wonderful! We appreciate getting updates on where they've walked - including "action shots" of the walks and where they've been! We also have a cat that they help with - she doesn't need as much attention, but it helps to know they're keeping an eye on her food and water, too. I highly recommend them! read more

Tail wagging does great with cats too. Before moving to Northern VA, my cat was fortunate enough to have a second home with a friend.
