    Greg and the team at Tail Wagging are absolutely fantastic! We were searching for a dog walking service when offices opened back up for our senior cocker spaniel (15F) and dalmatian puppy (2F). We have been happily using them for over a year now for regular walks during the week and the occasional multi visit days when my partner and I were both on the road. Greg is great about ensuring his walkers are high-quality, trustworthy, and reliable. The staff is always willing to accommodate the needs of our dogs and are great about communicating updates and questions. Every walk comes with a summary of the walk, the route they took, and some excellent pictures! Overall a great service and well worth the business.

    Greg and Tail Wagging Dog Service has been a huge help for our family as we transition back to work. The convenience of having someone walk and play with our pup while we attend meetings and finish projects is a real time saver and stress reliever. Greg and Becky have both walked our pup Murphy and they are always timely and follow-up with a text and fun photos to report back on their walk. We can tell Murphy has so much fun with them! I would highly recommend their services!

    Can't say enough good things about this company. When I moved to Virginia from New York City, I found rover to be pretty useless (in my specific neighborhood). I work crazy hours and long days so I needed a reliable team to take my pup out mid day and sometimes a walk with dinner included depending on my work schedule. I happened upon this company one day when my apartment building was hosting a doggie friends event. The owner and all his walkers take really good care of my pup AS WELL AS send updates on when the walk begins, the route they take, any potties on the walk, and when they return. They send me pictures like the one I've attached. And they're reasonably priced! 10/10 would recommend to fellow pup owners looking for a good walking service.

    We have been using Greg and Tail Wagging for our dog since summer of 2021 - when he was just 6 months old! My wife and I got our pup in March 2021. We both were working from home pretty much full time at that point, but we knew one day we would both be heading back to the office (at least part time). We started with just one walk per week to get him in the rhythm and get him familiar with having a walker, and now as our lives have crept back toward normal and offices and jobs require us to be in person more, we typically use Tail Wagging 2-3 days per week for a mid day walk. Our labradoodle Enzo absolutely loves Greg and his stable of walkers. Every walker that Greg has on his staff seems to really, really love dogs. It's clear when the walkers come in our apartment to walk our boy, that he absolutely loves them. He will squeak and squeal and shake his butt in excitement. (Due to cancelled meetings or other random happenings there's been times when we have ended up being home when the walker comes.) Greg does a great job introducing new walkers to dogs as well - typically if it is a newer walker or staff, Greg will do the first walk or several walks with them to gauge mutual comfort and introduce them to different dogs' personalities. Because all dogs have their quirks and no two dogs are exactly the same! Greg makes scheduling and payment super easy. I think he sends a weekly invoice via Venmo. We will get a text every Friday morning asking what days and times we need a walker for the following week, and then on Sunday we get a followup text with our paired walker and schedule. Greg usually tries to pair your dog with the same walker or couple walkers week in and week out - which is great as our dog has really developed a bond with some of the walkers and gets very excited to see them! Plus you know they're trustworthy and you don't just end up with a revolving door of random people in your house. The walkers all seem to keep a pretty brisk pace. We usually opt for the 30 minutes walk, and our dog (we check in on him on a wifi camera) usually comes back in and passes out after each walking session! In summer, the walkers will stick to shaded areas. And they even usually top off the water bowl before leaving too! Overall, I would say I could not ask for a better dog walking experience. I have heard way too many horror stories from people, of walkers being rude/pushy, not knowing how to handle dogs in certain situations, or (worst case) just not showing up when scheduled. Tail Wagging and Greg (the owner) have been nothing but professional and easy to work with. He's made our transition from pandemic pup parents to semi-normal scheduled dog parents much easier. Would recommend to anyone! All photos are various photos sent by walkers during their "Check-In Texts" over the months.

    We reached out to Greg's team during a medical emergency to help us with dog walking and he really delivered - came in immediately, supported us to get his team to add us on, along within his regular schedule. He explained the process but also was mindful of our situation throughout the entire process. The walks are great: they come in, they are so kind, they do a full walk and leave these amazing messages with photos - like the attatched - to make you feel at ease. (Matt you are so creative, we loved your matching mustard & ketchup outfit comment!) And our dog loves every one of their walkers. For a shy girl, this was impressive. We plan to continue after our emergency as Greg and his team are highly personable to families in need as well as their regular clientele, highly communicative and detailed in their care, and immensely professional to work with.     If your puppy has 17x more energy than you - Greg is your guy! He's reliable, professional, and flexible to my ever-changing work schedule. He's patient with Dora (who is still learning to love her leash) and sends great updates and pictures with each walk. Most importantly, Dora LOVES him.     I really love the walkers at this place! They are super attentive, and have saved me so many times rearranging last minute scheduling and helping me through my poor dog's tummy issues. They give me thorough reports for each walk and I always know I'm coming home to happy well cared for puppy.

    We have been clients of Greg for over a year now and his flexibility has been a huge relief for our busy schedules. Our dog, Andy, is leash reactant and is not the easiest dog to walk. Luckily, Greg has ensured his best suited walkers are available for Andy when needed. Andy's walks are 30 minutes and we receive reports of the route for their walk after each walk with great photos!

    We were in search of a reliable and trustworthy dog walking service with my return to work almost 18 months ago. We feel so very lucky to have discovered Tail Wagging Dog Services. Our dog Asher absolutely loves his regular walker Todd, but is excited when he is visited by any of the dog walkers as they all give him great attention and care. I was nervous as Asher is a big dog and was still a puppy, but he has always been matched with a walker who can handle his strength and puppy energy at the time. There is always a text message before and after the walk which is reassuring. Oh and photos are consistently sent too! Scheduling, paying, and communicating is a breeze, really efficient and responsive. I highly recommend!

The evaluation fee was $25 (nonrefundable after online registration), and while the staff member who conducted it was polite, I left with the impression that she didn't particularly enjoy working with dogs. Fred is a very social, playful, and well-adjusted dog--he has attended daycare regularly since 4 months, plays comfortably with dogs of all sizes and ages, and has never been described as anxious. Despite that, I was told during the evaluation that he seemed nervous, though he was ultimately "cleared" for daycare. For his first half-day (about $36), I was told again that he was nervous and might only be suited for weekends. This didn't match the written "report card," which described him as social, well-behaved, and playing well with others. When I asked for clarification, the explanation shifted back to him being "anxious." Given Fred's long history of thriving in daycare environments, this inconsistency raised red flags. What concerns me most is not the evaluation itself, but the communication and transparency. Before the evaluation, I called to confirm whether there was weekday availability (since that's when I need care). I made it clear that if there wasn't space, I didn't want to waste time or money. Unfortunately, no one followed up, and after investing both time and nearly $60, I was told that Fred should only come on weekends. I was being "encouraged" to bring Fred only on weekends--something that doesn't meet my needs, but still generates revenue for the business. The manager would not speak to me when I came to pick up my dog and did not follow up with a phone call (I shouldn't be surprised no one ever returned a live call or voicemail before my visit....I should have stayed away). The facility itself is small, with play areas that appeared quite limited (approximately 10-15 feet across, divided into small sections with several dogs in each). While that setup may work well for some pets, it isn't what I would call spacious or enriching. It was very clean. That is the one bright spot. In short, I wish FurgetMeNot had simply been upfront about their capacity constraints. I can respect a business being full; what I can't respect is unclear communication and the suggestion that my dog's behavior was the issue when the real problem seemed to be limited weekday availability. Pet parents: if you are looking for consistent weekday daycare, I would recommend asking very directly about space before investing in their evaluation process. I personally won't be returning, as I value honesty and clear communication in any service that involves my dog. I wasted 2 days and $60 dollars on this place. Don't get scammed like me.

Upon entry, I wasn't greeted particularly warmly by the front desk staff, but they did direct me to the person who would be completing my dog's evaluation. As the staff member, Christopher, who was actually completing my dog's evaluation was friendly and inviting, I did not think too much about the front desk staff. The evaluation cost $25 and it took about 20 minutes. Christopher took my dog to the back and had her meet other dogs and staff members. When the evaluation was over, he informed me that she had passed and answered most of my questions. I asked him what the pricing was for daycare, because it was not listed on the FAQ page that he provided me. He told me he didn't know, but that the front desk staff would be able to answer my question. After wrapping up to the evaluation, I walked over to the front desk to inquire about pricing for daycare. Keep in mind that while this is a full-service dog care facility, it seems that the main service-- or at least one of the most popular services-- that this facility provides is dog daycare. I asked the woman sitting at the desk about pricing. She told me something along the lines of, "we don't have the pricing listed on the brochure, but it is online." I then asked if she could just tell me the pricing. (I'm literally standing at the front desk at this point where they are supposed to answer questions about their services-- wouldn't you just tell me the price instead of directing me to go look it up for myself?!) She then responds "for what?!" with an unmistakable air of annoyance. Now, I would expect a front desk staff member to say something like, "sure, for which service?" The way she phrased her question seems like I was bothering her. I responded "for daycare" and then, she said "well let me just pull up the website and look..." The entire interaction was odd, like she was doing me a favor by providing pertinent info about the business at which she works. Also, why there isn't signage with the pricing for daycare at the front desk, who knows? I do know one thing though: if you act like I'm bothering you by asking you to do things within the scope of your job, I won't bother to spend my coins.

We were a bit over our heads after we adopted a super duper high-energy (and somewhat aggressive) dog and realized the daily walks that other local dog walking companies provided just weren't cutting the mustard. She needed some real exercise while we were at work during the week and Dog Gone Tired was able to finally give her an outlet for her energy. They'll take her running, roller blading or find a place for her to run around off-leash for a few hours...It has been so great knowing that our pooch is not only getting to live a more healthy, active life, but is also in the hands of people who genuinely care for her. I really couldn't ask for more and can't recommend them high enough. They're super flexible, have unbeatable prices and best of all are OUTSTANDING with our dog (who, um, has some issues)...Seriously, they are great people and real dog lovers. If you are on the market for a dog walker or someone to watch your pup while you're out of town, Shannon and Emily (the owners of Dog Gone Tired) will make sure your dog is happy, healthy and well-cared for like it was their own.

I can tell from this brief interaction that Emily and Shannon care very deeply about Dogs, they could have easily ignored the situation but they chose to take action, and because of them a Dog was rescued and will spend tonight warm at home instead of outside in the cold. They are very good people and care about dogs- they were very knowledgeable about dogs- I am going to recommend them to all of my friends who need a dog sitter!

They were able to get us in for puppy potty breaks and are incredibly accommodating of changing schedules and needs. Our normal dog walker, Ana, is the kindest woman you could ask for. She came over before the first walk for a meet and greet and I had no concerns at all about handing over the keys and entrusting the puppy to her care. She gives the puppy lots of love and attention in addition to the potty breaks she needs and always leaves detailed notes for us, mentions any concerns or questions, and sometimes sends pictures of her happy charge. Rates are competitive in this area, and both Lali and Ana are incredibly responsive. Couldn't be happier and would recommend without hesitation.

Even though it wasn't required she sent daily messages and pictures. We feel very comforted knowing that all future dog care services are only a phone call away. Problem: The company we originally hired had not properly set the cat-feeder so our cat had not eaten for the whole day, and possibly for the three days prior. She's a geriatric cat who needs to eat every six hours. By the time we identified this problem it was late at night on a Friday, the other company had closed (basically 9-5 hours) and could not be reached. Solution: Andrea & Javier. They were the only ones to reach out to me within the 20-30 minutes that some other companies here are on Yelp are apt to respond to (Yelp has this information) AND were able to take on the emergency. I had sent a batch message to pet-sitting companies in the area and within 20 minutes Andrea called me on my cell phone. By this time it was close to midnight. I told her the situation and she was very sympathetic and agreed to go in, fix the feeder and feed the cat that night. They were very communicative during the process. After they fed her, we contracted them for the remainder of our trip. Conclusion: Andrea & Javier really are the best of the best. Their sympathy, availability, & work ethic are impeccable and you want someone like them to take care of your pet while you're away.
