She was leash reactive with dogs and wanted to chase wildlife. As a senior, I was concerned about being knocked over and pulled around by Kacey. Kelia came to do an evaluation, and Kacey loved her--she doesn't always react positively with people. Kelia had her for 5 weeks of training, where Kacey learned so much about behaving on leash, and she had the benefit of learning how to play with other dogs with Kelia's own pups. Kacey also got to go on outings, which I think will help her in meeting new people. I look forward to taking her places now, whereas before I was too worried about her being out of control. I love that I can contact Kelia if I run into any issues with Kacey in the future. i cannot say enough good things about Kelia as a trainer. She has made it possible for me to enjoy Kacey. I know that Kacey will miss her; I think she would have gone back home with Kelia on drop-off day here after training!

Controlled K9 came to our home to evaluate her and recommended a four week board and train to work on basic obedience, leash manners, and off leash recall. We loved that she was taken in as a member of the family during her "boarding school," and they provided regular photos and updates on her progress throughout. She returned to us her same happy, sweet self in the house, but basically a new dog on leash! The Controlled K9 team trained us on how to continue her training, and remained super responsive to our follow up questions. It's incredible to see the transformation and we're so grateful to the Controlled K9 team for changing our lives - and Zoey's - for the better!

The evaluation fee was $25 (nonrefundable after online registration), and while the staff member who conducted it was polite, I left with the impression that she didn't particularly enjoy working with dogs. Fred is a very social, playful, and well-adjusted dog--he has attended daycare regularly since 4 months, plays comfortably with dogs of all sizes and ages, and has never been described as anxious. Despite that, I was told during the evaluation that he seemed nervous, though he was ultimately "cleared" for daycare. For his first half-day (about $36), I was told again that he was nervous and might only be suited for weekends. This didn't match the written "report card," which described him as social, well-behaved, and playing well with others. When I asked for clarification, the explanation shifted back to him being "anxious." Given Fred's long history of thriving in daycare environments, this inconsistency raised red flags. What concerns me most is not the evaluation itself, but the communication and transparency. Before the evaluation, I called to confirm whether there was weekday availability (since that's when I need care). I made it clear that if there wasn't space, I didn't want to waste time or money. Unfortunately, no one followed up, and after investing both time and nearly $60, I was told that Fred should only come on weekends. I was being "encouraged" to bring Fred only on weekends--something that doesn't meet my needs, but still generates revenue for the business. The manager would not speak to me when I came to pick up my dog and did not follow up with a phone call (I shouldn't be surprised no one ever returned a live call or voicemail before my visit....I should have stayed away). The facility itself is small, with play areas that appeared quite limited (approximately 10-15 feet across, divided into small sections with several dogs in each). While that setup may work well for some pets, it isn't what I would call spacious or enriching. It was very clean. That is the one bright spot. In short, I wish FurgetMeNot had simply been upfront about their capacity constraints. I can respect a business being full; what I can't respect is unclear communication and the suggestion that my dog's behavior was the issue when the real problem seemed to be limited weekday availability. Pet parents: if you are looking for consistent weekday daycare, I would recommend asking very directly about space before investing in their evaluation process. I personally won't be returning, as I value honesty and clear communication in any service that involves my dog. I wasted 2 days and $60 dollars on this place. Don't get scammed like me.

Yeah, it's a no for me, dawg…read more I took my dog to Fur-Get Me Not on Monday, December 9 at 3:15 PM for a daycare evaluation. Upon entry, I wasn't greeted particularly warmly by the front desk staff, but they did direct me to the person who would be completing my dog's evaluation. As the staff member, Christopher, who was actually completing my dog's evaluation was friendly and inviting, I did not think too much about the front desk staff. The evaluation cost $25 and it took about 20 minutes. Christopher took my dog to the back and had her meet other dogs and staff members. When the evaluation was over, he informed me that she had passed and answered most of my questions. I asked him what the pricing was for daycare, because it was not listed on the FAQ page that he provided me. He told me he didn't know, but that the front desk staff would be able to answer my question. After wrapping up to the evaluation, I walked over to the front desk to inquire about pricing for daycare. Keep in mind that while this is a full-service dog care facility, it seems that the main service-- or at least one of the most popular services-- that this facility provides is dog daycare. I asked the woman sitting at the desk about pricing. She told me something along the lines of, "we don't have the pricing listed on the brochure, but it is online." I then asked if she could just tell me the pricing. (I'm literally standing at the front desk at this point where they are supposed to answer questions about their services-- wouldn't you just tell me the price instead of directing me to go look it up for myself?!) She then responds "for what?!" with an unmistakable air of annoyance. Now, I would expect a front desk staff member to say something like, "sure, for which service?" The way she phrased her question seems like I was bothering her. I responded "for daycare" and then, she said "well let me just pull up the website and look..." The entire interaction was odd, like she was doing me a favor by providing pertinent info about the business at which she works. Also, why there isn't signage with the pricing for daycare at the front desk, who knows? I do know one thing though: if you act like I'm bothering you by asking you to do things within the scope of your job, I won't bother to spend my coins.

Brandi & Perry were amazing! Highly recommend working with them…read more We adopted a one year old mixed breed, Tuck, a few months ago. He's very sweet but started to get rambunctious to the point that my remote work felt challenging. He also started jumping or freezing when he saw other dogs on walks, and he occasionally barked or growled and men. We weren't sure if it was the start of aggressive behavior or just the result of a shelter dog that hasn't been exposed. After doing our research, we decided to do the 3 week behavior modification board and train program. We were really impressed from beginning to end. They shared a ton of information upfront, walked us through their facility (we opted to drop him off) and sent pictures and updates every evening. It became clear right away that they both have a very deep understanding of dogs, as well as a real respect and love for them. Tuck loved them! The best part was the "transition" day when Perry brought Tuck back and spent the day teaching us everything they've worked on together. We are first time dog owners so generally going in pretty blind. Perry gave us a 101 on dogs and the importance of clear and consistent communication. He talked through all of the layers of training and how/why it is effective. We felt this part was SO helpful for us to understand how to be better owners. Then we walked Tuck around the neighborhood with Perry guiding us and then spent time addressing indoor behaviors too. He was flexible and stayed until we felt comfortable with everything. This is a long review so the TLDR: finding a trainer is a big decision and investment so we wanted to get it right. Brandi & Perry were really incredible and beyond our expectations!! Truly worth every penny! Tuck has been doing really great at home and outside since being home. I've been able to work full days with him holding "place" on his cot, which would have been unheard of before!

From the very first interaction, Kenny and Sarah were professional, warm, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They took the time to understand the pain points that we were experiencing with our new puppy, Theo's personality and tailored their approach to fit him perfectly. I was overseas on vacation, but they shared the progress and transformation pictures and updates every day. Theo is more confident, focused, and responsive than ever. What really impressed me with Ridgeside K9 apart is the care and dedication that Kenny and Sarah brought to the 3-week transformation and the dedicated work with him. It was easy to tell this isn't just a job for them -- they truly love working with dogs and it shows in the results. Theo came home happy, well-behaved, and I could tell during the 2 hour turnover session that Theo had clearly bonded with his trainers. If you're in the Winchester and surrounding area and looking for exceptional dog training, look no further than Ridgeside K9. Ask for Kenny and Sarah -- you and your pup won't be disappointed!

I scheduled two walks a day while I was working these shifts and one walk a day during the school year. We stopped working with ADN in April 2025, because I felt uncomfortable with a lack of professional boundaries and logical judgment. Pros: + My dog (Gracie) and I live in a high-rise apartment with only two allotted key fobs and other dog walking services asked for two sets of keys which I was unable to provide. ADN was okay with just the one fob + I scheduled walks by the month on the TimeToPet portal, which was easy to use + Walks were reasonably priced + My dog seemed to be okay with all of the walkers. We had about 5 rotating. I have a camera at home to watch her, but don't tune in often. However, whenever I did, her walker was kind and gentle with her + Some walkers sent pictures of taken during the walk (my preference), but all walkers sent a message after + Walkers were on time and communicative if they were running late + Walkers dried my dog off if it was a rainy day Cons: - The owner of ADN asked if my dog and hers could do a play date in March 2025. I declined at the time. She asked again in April 2025 for a day in May. I was working that day, but as she was the assigned walker (two walks that day), I said she could take my dog for a play date in between, if she wanted to. She asked if my dog could sleep over. I said I wasn't comfortable. We said we would discuss this closer to May. The next day, she told the assigned walker to bring my dog to her house. I found this out when I was sent a picture and video of my dog being pet by the owner's boyfriend (who I hadn't met before). She texted me asking if she had to return my dog. (Presumably a joke, but felt like she wasn't reading the room appropriately.) She returned my dog about a half hour after I got home from work. The next day I told her I was very uncomfortable with what happened and requested to cancel services with my fob returned and she chalked it up to misunderstanding, but closed my account, left my fob out for pick up, and did not refund for the rest of the month's walks - There were a lot of pricing and walk length options on the portal - it was a little confusing - I paid for 30 minute walks, but it didn't seem like she always got 30 minute walks (closer to 20-25) - Sometimes the walker didn't refill her water, even though I left a full water bottle right next to the bowl - Sometimes the walker didn't wipe my dog's paws off (a request I made) - I booked dog sitting for a 4-day weekend and that sitter was just fine, but didn't give my dog very much attention. I never used this service again and instead opted to take her to family, who would at least occasionally play with her - Sometimes I would find shoe prints in the bathroom or kitchen (I don't generally wear shoes in the house) - I do not think anyone from this company meant me or my dog harm, but their service was not so stellar that I could overlook the lack of boundaries, poor judgment, lack of proper apology, etc./it wasn't worth the anxiety that this relationship eventually gave me
