I think they brought back the wrong cats. I mean, these cats are so pretty! Shiny, lustrous fur, smells so nice, breath that isn't fishy, nails that don't scratch me to death, AND THEY ARE WEARING BOWTIES! In all seriousness, i have a hard time keeping my cats still for nail trimming and brushing. Baths are hit or miss, but getting them under a blowdryer or rubbed down with towels results in much screeching (the cats) and crying (me, because I just got scratched all over again.) So i scheduled a grooming session for the two adorable bastards. Not only did they pick up and drop off the kitties, they came back beautifully groomed and with adorable bowties. And it's all so very affordable! I'm a huge fan, and will budget for monthly grooming sessions from now on. read more

I've been living in Arlington for about 13 years. When I first moved here, I employed the services of another pet sitter for my cat. When my feline started aging and developing medical conditions requiring syringe-administered medication, the sitter wasn't completely comfortable doing so. That's when I did some research and came upon PS4C. It gave me a huge peace of mind that Steve was a vet tech and has an abundance of experience administering medication (both in liquid in pill form; my cat went through both). Even more comforting was the fact that my fussy feline came right up to him, during our meet and greet, eating treats from his hand. While I wouldn't have necessarily switched sitters, if it weren't for the medication issue, I am so thrilled that I did. I couldn't ask for a better pet sitter. I have two cats that mean the world to me. My cats prefer to be at home rather than go somewhere to a boarding location. When you schedule your first sitting appointment they come to your house for a meet and greet beforehand. I really appreciated that Steve took the time to come to my condo and meet the cats. We sat and talked about what the cats like and don't like and showing him where everything is for them. The cats even received a few pets. It really put me at ease knowing they were going to be in good hands. Now I use the service every couple of months. They always send me multiple photos and updates on the cats after every visit which is always my favorite. Steve goes above and beyond every single time he comes to check on the cats. He gives the cats fresh water, cleans the litter box (he even replaced the litter and cleaned the whole box when I was worried about it), vacuums up cat hair and litter around the box, plays with them with their favorite toys and checks on their food. They even took Polaroid photos of the cats and left them on the counter for me! Every time they send me photos of the cats, they always look so happy and are getting tons of pets from them. They also make sure the cats get treats and their medications if needed. They will bring in the mail for you and even water your plants if you request it!! Between my dad and I, we love the service these people give to our dogs. Great customer service and care. Steve comes from the veterinary background and Hong just is an overall animal lover. They make an awesome team. My dad has an elderly silky terrier, going on 14 years old. He uses PS4C for boarding over several days at their place. Bella, because of her age needs special care and medication. She can't jump or go up and down stairs. PS4C is the company my dad has trusted to care for his dog other than an internal veterinary boarding facility. Since my dad is not as tech savvy as some, PS4C text me pictures of Bella and lets me know her behavior and potty habits. She isn't the most pleasant dog to care for... PS4C nicknamed her Diva. I have a 5 year old morkie that needs a middle of the day walking when my dad is not available. I am gone from the house from 730am till about 7pm Monday through Friday. Val is a rambunctious girl but is picky about who she lets close to her. I mean, she is 4 pounds and at that size, everyone is a giant. Hong and Steve take her on long walks and keep me up to date with photos and info. Val gets sick a lot and PS4C are very nice about giving her medicine, 3 oral fluids. They provide lots of playing time before putting Val back in her crate. She also seems to be obsessed with their baby. Between my dad's elderly dog and my young spunky one, I would say all around, Steve and Hong know how to handle different pets. Their prices are very fair too! They travel to my house for Val's walks and if need be, will pick up and drop off our pets. Compared to the dog daycare center a block away from my house and other day walking companies, I would pick PS4C without a blink for our pet's needs from grooming, to walking, to boarding. read more

Steve and Hong are good people who love dogs and will treat your dogs as one of the family. There isn't any better feeling than leaving your dog with people who care about him. our dog is a small "reactive " dog and followed hong from room to room and barked constantly, they didn't express any displeasure about that and even let him into the bedroom at night! Scooter basically becomes part of their family (with their 9month old daughter) when he's there. A sample text from Hong is "look he calmed down when I put the baby in front of his crate !" I mean what more could you ask for!? One note is that they don't always send an update every single day and don't always pose really great pics but you know what? I don't mind at all. The level of care and impeccable integrity both Steve and Hong provide is absolutely unrivaled in my experience. I have a 1.5 year old hound who is inexhaustibly energetic. I was always nervous about boarding him when I went away, that is, until I found Pet Sitting 4 Comfort through a friend's referral. I was amazed at the level of dedication Steve and Hong have toward caring for my pup, Cooper, or as Steve refers to him..."hype man". It doesn't take long to realize that when you leave your furry friend with Steve and Hong, they take them in and treat them as a member of their family. Case in point, my dog Cooper is very affectionate but also extremely needy. Steve will often sleep on the couch with him, just so he doesn't wine or cry at night. Steve and Hong also keep me informed about Cooper's feeding, bathroom, and outdoor activities. I also can't tell you how comforting it is to know that Steve is a trained vet tech who has cared for Cooper in ways that other boarding services have not been able to. Such as the time that Cooper scraped his front leg and Steve provided an ointment to apply 2-3x per day and explained how to administer it so that it was virtually healed in 3 days! As far as I'm concerned, Steve and Hong are the best around and a bargain for the services they provide. They continually seem to impress me more and more each time I leave my pup with them. The routine veterinary hospital where my pet is normally boarded didn't have space for my dog during an upcoming holiday trip. On researching other boarding options, PS4C came up on Yelp with raving reviews and now I know why. I boarded my dog with Steve and Hong for a week, my dog loved it! She kept looking for them and whinnying after she returned home. That's a good sign that she was well taken care of. Steve and Hong An are the best second parents to my rambunctious 1year old Mini Bull Terrier. They are patient and have trained him during their time with him. Steve and Hong were recommended to me by neighbors as I was seeking a new petsitter. They seemed great when I met them, although I did initially have concerns that they might overbook. But, my pets seemed to like them, so I decided to give them a try with 2 upcoming trips. They were very understanding when I had to cancel the one trip because my cat developed a bad infection and I needed to get him to the vet instead of going away. However, when I actually used them, they did not come as scheduled. I had asked for them to come by in the evening twice and in the morning, around 8 am to take my two dogs out and feed them. They did come in the evening, which is great, but when my cameras in the morning did not indicate any movement, I started reaching out. I had to text multiple times and call before I received a return phone call. Hong indicated that Steve had an "emergency" and that they had "many appointments" but did not really seem concerned that they failed to follow through on taking care of my pets and asked if I still wanted them to come over, close to 1.5 hours later. I had already scrambled to get coverage from friends when I did not receive any response from them because I had no idea when they would respond to me. The fact that they didn't feel the need to communicate with me about not keeping their scheduled appointment and made excuses for their behavior instead of truly apologizing and trying to make up for the failure in the services, made me wonder if this is how they operate their business; overbooking clients with no contingency plan if something doesn't go right. If I did not have cameras in my home, I would never have known my pets were neglected. I understand that emergencies arise, but not notifying me that things didn't happen as planned and not acting concerned when I bring it to their attention is a huge red flag for me. read more

When our 16-year old toy poodle, Suzi, was diagnosed with kidney disease, we were devastated. The vet told us that she would need to take subcutaneous fluids twice a day. My wife and I are both "needle phobic" and we thought it would be too hard for Suzi to take daily trips to the vet in such a frail state. Then came along Steve, our guardian angel. He was extremely kind, patient, polite, and knowledgeable. He came to the house everyday for over a week, and he showed us how to give Suzi the shots, how to change the needles, change fluid bags, etc. It's been a few months now, and Suzi is still with us thanks to Steve. He literally saved her life and continues to help us whenever there is a need. This past weekend, for example, he came to the house a few times to show us how to give Suzi some oral medication using a syringe. Suzi is not a very good patient, she likes to bite... so after 2 visits, Steve trained us on how to hold her head and insert the syringe in her mouth without getting bitten by her.
