Not good experience with them - just giving two stars because they have ways to improve. I wanted to use Fetch based on reviews that I saw on Google and Yelp but unfortunately they are not reliable at least if you are new customer. We got confirmation for the cat sitting but the sitter resigned unexpectedly one week after consultation session. Fetch didn't try to help us find better and more experienced sitter when I asked for specific sitter. They offered a new sitter but their system is very disorganized that the new sitter wanted to have consultation session during the time that we had requested service. Unfortunately, all communication is being done via email and it doesn't seem that they have any personal interest in what they do. Not recommending this service especially if you are a new customer. read more

*Update with another stellar review on Fetch, this time with Barbi. After Traci moved away, I was matched with Barbi for my little Wumpkinator. Oh boy, I didn't think it got any better then Traci, but Juanita has done a great job hiring the best. Barbi has been amazing since day one. My little four legged monster is just that, but Barbi was patient with both of us and continued to care for my little girl with the utmost care and love anyone could ask for. We are moving out of state which is stressful enough, trying to have to find a new person to walk and spend time with the wee little one. I came home today and to my surprise Barbi left me a handmade frame with a picture of my little girl in it. Made me cry and smile at the same time. I cant say enough great things about them all! Fetch and all of the wonderful people that work there are great!!! They are life savers and treat each and every four legged fur baby as if they were their own, specifically, Traci. Our cat sitter is Jim Alder, and I'm ashamed to say I think he takes better care of our cats (and home) than we do sometimes [NB: we have a 1 year old]. He is warm, calm, and friendly (and has a spectacular sense of humor); exactly what you want in a cat or dog sitter. He loves fur-babies and it shows. Both our cats clearly knew and liked him because they would approach as soon as he came through the door. He also made sure our new plants outside didn't die during a nasty heat wave, brought the mail in, and he left the litter area cleaner than it's been in weeks! I have been using Fetch for almost a year. I was very hesitant to entrust my kittens to people I didn't know, so I did my research before choosing a pet care service. Fetch has exceeded my expectations. I have had the pleasure of working with one amazing, dedicated caretaker. Nina has always taken care of my cats while I have traveled. She is so caring and attentive. Nina makes sure to keep me updated with emails and/or pictures of my boys. I always return home to happy kittens! I have been a Fetch! customer for a few years and through one house move. They have always provided excellent service and well trained walkers for my two lab mix fur babies. Communication is great. They are super flexible when sudden changes in schedule pop up and have never missed a beat with providing back up walkers when someone has to be out. We were with Lorena at our last house and she was awesome. Lorena still pitches in when needed at our new place even though we moved farther out in Silver Spring. Prices are reasonable. Every walker I have had since being with Fetch! has been great. I especially like Beth! She is wonderful with our dogs and is a good fit. Beth has a presence that my dogs pick up on and they are well behaved with her. I love it. The structure and vibe she brings to their walks has really helped a lot and it's good for them. I have been using Fetch! Pet Care for about 2.5 years and have no complaints whatever. They are always very responsive when I reach out to schedule care for my kitties. Colleen always leaves me notes from her visits with my four kitties and sometimes sends me photos. She seems to genuinely like my clowder which gives me peace of mind when I am gone. A couple of years ago I broke my shoulder and required help feeding the kitties and dealing with their litters. Colleen was very compassionate and even offered to help me if necessary. My family has been using Fetch to care for our cat Ms. Pusspuss for more than 4 years. We are often away for extended periods of time and it is very important to us to know that she is being well cared for during our absence. We feel totally comfortable and confident that Val or Jenny are taking good care of Ms. P and giving her lots of attention and love. She is always content and well brushed when we return home and her litter and the area around her litter box are always clean. Val and Jen also water some plants for us and bring in the mail if necessary. Whoever is watching her will send us a text or email and photo several times and week as well as leaving a daily writren diary of their visits. Ms. P became ill during one of our trips and Val provided extra care and nursed her back to health. Fetch is awesome!! We've had multiple dog walkers for my VERY energetic lab mix and none of them worked out because they couldn't control him or had limited hours. Fetch is great because they offer walks anytime of the day (not like most local companies which only do mid-day walks--which we don't need!). Prices are OK, definitely a little on the high end, but in my opinion it's worth it. They're always very responsive--when I send an email, I get a reply that they're checking with my dog walker almost immediately. Our dog walker is Ester, she is AMAZING and always has such nice things to say. She really goes above and beyond--not just walking and feeding my dog, but she washes out his bowls, leaves a light on for him, etc. It's the little things that make this company better. We've never used them for sitting, just because the price is very high and we have an excellent dog sitter that we use. Also a nice perk is that you can use a credit card and don't have to leave a cash/check for the dog walker---it's all done at the end of the month automatically. So convenient! read more

For a company that states they have very experienced dog walkers, my experience is the complete opposite. My puppy was not walked at all, but instead "played with". They made me pay for this "walk". At the end of this "walk" my puppy is supposed to be fed, he was not. I texted the walker and asked if something happened and why my puppy was not fed, she refused to respond. I know my dogs pooping schedule. I returned home from work and the play that the dog walker did, did not happen outside. My puppy was sitting in poop for hours and it was obvious that he had pooped more than once in his kennel. He was whimpering when I came home and got him out, bathed him, and fed him as he was supposed to have been 6 hours earlier. I really like paying for a dog walker, that is over priced, to come to my house and not do their job. This is a horrible company and I would not trust your dogs to these "experienced dog walkers" they don't have a clue on how to handle dogs or walk them. read more

My husband and I have used Fetch for several years for our cats. They have been able to accommodate crazy work schedules that require last minute arrangements. They take great care of our cats, send us pictures, and leave written notes for us. We always come home to a clean litter box and a neat cat food area. When my older cat required twice daily medication, Fetch handled it like a pro. They have also gone above and beyond in the past. When my husband and I were on a two week vacation and the DC area was bracing for a hurricane, the Fetch cat sitter moved our lawn furniture to a safe place so it wouldn't become a flying projectile in strong hurricane winds. I used Fetch! services for 13 months and couldn't be happier with the quality of service my pet and I have received. The dog walkers we've had have all been fantastic, communicative, approachable, flexible, and enjoyable to write back and forth with every day. I had never needed or used a dog walking service until I moved to SS and the peace of mind that Fetch provided me was priceless. Whether it was a normal work day or I was traveling for work, Fetch was always able to accommodate the needs of my schedule and truly enjoyed providing service to my pet. Logistically, requesting/modifying services is simple via email or phone and they are great about updating your service schedule/bill very quickly. If anything ever came up while a Fetch sitter was walking my dog (i.e., dog being too possessive over a toy and preventing a walk, smoke alarm beeping, etc.) the sitters were proactive and called me right away to problem solve. Since I moved to the area a year ago, Marie and the whole team at Fetch have made my time away from home much better. Marie always provides text updates about her visits with my cats which is really nice and I always come home to a nice note (and clean litter boxes and full water and food dishes). I'm surprised to see only 3 reviews here, because this is one of the best businesses I've encountered in a long time. We had used a few different dog walking companies before we found Fetch a few years ago. I won't go into some of the dramas we experienced with other companies, but suffice it to say that none of them would ever receive a good review from me. With Fetch, it's always just good, reliable service and my dogs love their walkers. We have an assigned walker, and in the very rare occasion that she is unavailable, Fetch arranges for us to meet the substitute walker ahead of time so we know who will be in our house and caring for our dogs. Any time we've had minor bumps in the road (for example, when a walker was arriving a little on the late side), the owner quickly and professionally resolved it (in this example, by adjusting the walker's schedule so she could arrive within the time frame we were comfortable with). It might seem like a no-brainer, but that was the type of thing other companies never seemed willing or able to address. I wish more businesses were like Fetch! read more

Excellent service! The online booking is great and very speedy confirmations. They assign one pet sitter for you and I was so pleased with mine. She came for an initial visit and you can really tell she was an animal lover. My pooch was also going through heartworm treatment so had many stipulations about walks and exercise. My sitter not only emailed ahead of time with useful information about heartworm care, but she also knew I was very worried about my pooch and she gave her a lot of extra care. Follow up was especially wonderful. She left a note at home, then followed up with an email. I really think this service is a life saver! read more

We called Fetch! a week before an emergency trip, which included pet care over the Memorial Day Weekend. A lot of places were already booked, but Fetch! seems to have more than enough sitters available. Fetch! did a great job assigning us a sitter for our 2 senior cats while we were away for 11 days. The sitter, who lived close to us and knew the neighborhood, was competent and caring and followed our instructions for both the cats and the house perfectly. She said she loves her job and Fetch! is a great place to work. No grumbling from an employee says a lot. Only one caveat and why Fetch! did not get 5 stars: It was difficult to get someone on the phone at the Fetch! office....the call always went to voice mail and we did not get a call back on one occasion. We moved to Silver Spring in March and needed to find a pet sitter on short notice as I travel frequently for work. We've always used family/friends to watch our cat in the past, so I was hesitant to use a pet service at first. We gave it a try for a long weekend and were immediatly hooked! We've used this service twice since then and have just scheduled a third week with them. Our pet sitter, Gino, is amazing. He came over for a free consultation to meet our cat & to go over the care needed. Our cat usually runs from people but she loves Gino... He's truly great with animals and goes the extra mile to make sure she is taken care of (he cleans up dishes, waters our plants, etc. too). We love that he texts us during his visit each day to let us know how she's doing! I'd recommend this service to anyone who needs reliable pet care, especially on short notice. We have been using fetch for 2 1/2 years. We started using fetch after we moved and there was no doggy daycare nearby. Our dogs now stay at home during the day and fetch walks our 2 dogs twice a day. Our dogs get great walks and exercise. We can add an evening walk if needed on days we work late. Fetch has always been incredibly professional, friendly, and responsive. Their prices are competitive and you get a discount for regular use such as we have. We have two different dog walkers right now and both are great. I have also been very satisfied with the two previous dog walkers we have had. I feel very comfortable with our dog walkers and can rest easy knowing our dogs are getting great care while we're gone during the day. I also feel comfortable allowing the dog walkers to come into our home. Fetch has a home boarding service for when you are out of town. We have used this before and were very happy.
