UnderDogs has been wonderful for our Mt. Pleasant, DC family. Setting up a consultation was easy to schedule and Sam got us set up in the system (which is very user-friendly!) quickly. The operation has a distinct small-business feel with competitive rates for the neighborhood. There are no hidden fees and you can cancel/schedule afternoon walks as late as the morning of. You can join even if you just need the occasional walk, or if you need walks every day. We have not had any cancellations or scheduling difficulties, which is such a relief after many last minute cancellations with Wag before we started with UnderDogs. They have been communicative and understanding through COVID-19 and give us the opportunity to pay our walker directly even if we aren't using their services. Our walker has been Kwame - while we've only met him once, our dog clearly absolutely loves him. The only downside is that, unlike Wag or other more app-based services, there's no way of knowing remotely exactly when the dog is picked up and dropped off. However, since we have no concerns about reliability of the company or walker, it has not been an issue. read more

This is long overdue! We used Underdogs the entirety of the time we lived in Mt. Pleasant, and they've basically helped raise our puppies. They have the same regular walker everyday, and when she comes over, our dogs are so excited to see her. The whole team is wonderful to work with. Last minute changes? No problem. Home sick and need to text the morning of? Great. I also love their boarding process. It's so nice to know your dogs are going to stay at someone's home and not boarded at some facility. When our dogs go to "Uncle Greg's", they hop right up on the couch and make themselves at home. I desperately wish they serviced our new area. Could not recommend them enough! read more

We couldn't be happier with your service over the past couple years. We live in Adams Morgan but are moving soon and will miss Underdogs so much! Thomas has been the best dog walker we could have ever asked for! He even helped train our small dog to go up the stairs to our apartment (he was always afraid!). Everything with Underdogs is super easy and smooth to set up. The online system is great and you have the same walker every day with coverage when they are on vacation. We really appreciated the report cards from the walks as well. We never used the overnight services but I can speak super highly of the dog walking! Thanks for everything Underdogs! read more

I was so lucky to find UnderDogs when I moved up to Petworth. Greg, Sam, and Harlee are amazing, and have shown my two dogs so much love and care. Harlee is awesome on their walks, and when I go out of town, I have so much peace of mind knowing that my pups are well cared for by Greg. If you are looking for a wonderful dog walker, look no further than UnderDogs! read more

The team at Underdogs has taken incredible care of our rambunctious pup for years! Joey, Sam, and the whole team are so responsive to pet parents and caring towards the animals they look after. We are so sad to be moving and leaving behind walkers and sitters we fully trust. They are great people who charge a totally fair price and give a lot of love to your pet. Truly the best dog walking service in the area! Support a small, local business and choose Underdogs! read more

I couldn't ask for a better pet service. Greg knows what he is doing and is committed to giving all this clients peace of mind. Being a pet owner I know how everyone in my shoes feels when you have to leave your pets for even a day; stress, stress, stress. UnderDogs knows this and does whatever they can to alleviate those feelings while you are away on business, vacation or whatever reason you have to leave you pet behind. I have had quite a hectic and chaotic schedule as of late and however short notice this company has been able to accommodate. Whether its last min travel plans, changing the walking schedule the day of or even over night stays the answer has always been "Of Course!" The only reason I have stopped using this service is because I have moved from the area, I can only hope that the next service I use would be half as good as this one. Thanks for everything Greg! read more

We regularly use Greg to walk our 11 month old rescue dog during the week while we're at work. Our experience with him has been absolutely fantastic. Great Things about Greg and Underdogs DC: - He comes to your house to meet you and your pet before he starts taking them on walks. He impressed us with how thorough he was in getting to know us. It made it easy for us to trust him immediately. - The online portal is super easy to use and they make it easy to change dog walks around. Our schedules can change quickly and they're very accommodating of that. - You ALWAYS get the full length of the walk you pay for (if not longer) - Our dog LOVES Greg. When we've run into him, she is clearly so thrilled to see him. - Greg has been an amazing resource as a new dog owner. Our puppy has separation anxiety and Greg has provided lots of great tips on how to make us leaving less stressful for her. I have so many good things to say about Greg and Underdogs DC. I plan on being a customer for as long as we're in DC. P.S. I very much recommend the 1-1.5hr group walks if you have a more active dog/puppy. Our dog loves them and passes out for the rest of the afternoon after going on them. (Also the ratio of humans to dogs is 1 to 4...which I believe is better than most daycare facilities!) read more

We used UnderDogs for about 2 years before we unfortunately moved our of their service area. Greg, Sam and Harrison walked our 2 dogs, and each of them was fantastic (and the dogs loved them!). UnderDogs has very competitive rates without hidden fees and an easy portal for scheduling and cancelations (and are also available via email for last minute cancelations). Our older dog also has special requirements (paw wipes, has to wear a diaper, etc.), and UnderDogs was so accommodating of his needs. I will recommend UnderDogs to all of my friends in the area and am sad we can no longer use their services! read more

UnderDogs is the absolute best of the best! My dog loved Greg and all of his staff. He was always courtious and responsible and was available to help me on a day's notice. He doggie sat my dog for days in a row and walked her every day of the week. He would leave me daily notes commenting on her behavior and health. I always felt safe and confident my dog was well-taken care of. This is the best dog service I've ever used. read more

These guys are so excellent to work with. Responsive, professional, kind, friendly... the list goes on and on. We (and our dog) have developed such a great relationship with the whole UnderDogs team and strongly recommend them to friends whenever we get the chance. read more

Best dog walking service we have found in (and outside) of DC! We requested dog walking services (40 minutes) from Underdogs because my partner was starting a new job and I would be away for a few weeks. Sam and Greg were super responsive, did a meet-and-greet to meet my dog and make sure everything was in order, then set us up on the online interface. It's super easy to use, but when I made a mistake I was able to contact Sam directly via text and he let me know how to resolve everything going forward. The walks themselves were accurate as they are marketed on the website, which includes a walk, treats (if you ask for it), water refills, bathroom breaks, and notes on how the pup did. These report cards are our favorite thing to see after a long day! Thanks Sam and Greg for such a wonderful experience after we just moved to DC. I recommend Underdogs for anyone with a pup in DC that needs a little more TLC! Nile (my pup) already misses the Underdogs crew! read more

UnderDogs is the absolute best. We have a young herding dog who can be a handful and whether it's for daily walks or dog sitting, we know she's always in excellent hands with UnderDogs. Very few dog walking companies give you the same walker each day, but we've had our walker for years now and he's amazing. Our other dog doesn't like strangers so the same walker is important, and she is always happy to see him. Can't recommend this company enough, and I'm so glad we found them. read more

Sam and the crew at Underdogs are the best. They were reliable and took great care of our dog from when she was a puppy. The online tool they use for scheduling and payment is super easy and convenient. They were also able to be super accommodating on the few instances we needed to make changes to the schedule last minute. We used UnderDogs for 2 years and would have continued using them except we moved to an area they don't operate. read more

I have had such a wonderful experience with UnderDogs over the past two years. The online scheduling system is convenient, and the customer service has been impeccable. They have been incredibly accommodating of my dog Heidi who can be rather difficult to walk (i.e., she hates walking). You cannot beat the price, reliability, and responsiveness of this group! read more

One of the best decisions we made after getting our Bernese Mountain Dog Harper was choosing Underdogs. They had better rates than the larger competitors but we quickly realized the team there was the best part. They went above and beyond the call of duty on walks and pet sitting for when Harper got sick. They also were extremely patient in the training process with her. Underdogs truly cares about the animals and pushes for quality experiences for the owners. Thanks for your help Thomas, Sam & Greg! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Greg! Our dog is a rescue who is very scared of most people. He has never let anyone outside of the family walk him- we've tried other dog walkers before who didn't have enough experience to know what to do about it. Greg came over to meet our pup and within 2 or 3 visits they were out walking alone. He was kind and patient, and he really found a way to get him to trust him- it's been going well now for over a year now! Greg is just incredible. In addition to dealing with our dog's issues, he's everything we could want in a dog walker. He's extremely reliable, he's very flexible, and he's super friendly and kind. He's also very reasonably priced and he leaves these wonderful 'report cards' after every walk! He takes such good care of our pup, and I trust him completely. read more

I have been very pleased with the services of UnderDogs! Greg and his team are great; very responsive, accommodating, flexible, and give my pup the TLC he needs! Greg spends time getting to know you and your pet to make sure he can meet your/your pets needs before starting any services. He was happy to answer all my questions during our initial meeting and via email afterwards. These factors combined with his obvious knowledge and experience with a range of dogs calmed my nerves about leaving my dog during the day. Definitely recommend UnderDogs Pet Care! read more

Where to begin. Greg and Underdogs is awesome. He is everything you would want in a small business owner and dog walker. He really takes pride in the service he provides. I knew i was getting my daughter a cocker spaniel puppy for a few weeks, and am new to being a fur mami. Greg was fast to reply to ALL my emails and questions I had. The 1st in home visit went on for over an hour. We just talked a lot about puppies, requirements and the service he provides etc. He started the next day and has been coming M-F every since. Really easy and fast online portal to allow you to request walks/overnights and make payments. Its also refreshing seeing Greg and his employees walking dogs around Mt Pleasant. Also did I mention, his prices are THE BEST!!! read more

Gregory clearly loves pets and is wonderful and attentive!

I was referred to the team at UnderDogs from a colleague who moved out of the area. I have two labradors that just turned two, so their energy level is off the charts. Joe, Sam, and Greg have taken such great care of my two boys and at excellent prices and via a great online portal for easy reservations and seamless bill pay. But more than the ease of use, has been the piece of mind. My two labs loved their midday walks with Joe and the other dogs that would accompany them. So much so that on days we had people at the house (eg. Visiting grandparents) we would still have them do their scheduled walk because they enjoyed it so much and the socializing was important. When I went out of town it was so nice to know they had a friendly and convenient place to stay where they received excellent care with minimal time alone. I think our experience with UnderDogs has helped to socialize my two pups and made them less reliant on me and as a result less anxious. I can't say enough great things about the customer service, respect for my time, care for my dogs, and overall excellent service. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I would. read more

We couldn't be happier with UnderDogs. Greg and his team are professional, courteous, thorough, responsive, flexible, positive....do I need to go on? We would recommend UnderDogs without hesitation to anyone looking for a dog walker in DC. read more

I couldn't recommend Underdogs enough for dogwalking services. When I first moved to DC I found Greg through an online search and I couldn't be happier. The website is great for scheduling new walks and canceling any future regular walks. They are great about feeding my dog when I ask and are really responsive with last minute issues. I've had them watch my dog while out of town too and it's worked out perfectly. Every walker that I've had has been great with my dog and I trust anyone Greg works with. I highly recommend Underdogs! read more

Greg at Under Dogs is simply fantastic. He walks my grumpy Great Dane and accommodates my crazy schedule with grace & aplomb. He took the time to meet Apollo in advance and understand his quirks before we established a regular walking schedule. He has been walking Apollo daily (sometimes as much as 3x/day) since August 2013 and I plan to keep it that way. read more

I've used Underdogs for two years now, and I can't think of a single negative experience. The staff is courteous and responsible. Greg promptly responds to my emails and cancelations. Thomas leaves the nicest notes and has never missed a single visit. I doubt it's possible to find more compassionate dog walkers in DC. read more

Underdogs is amazing. I used to be able to walk home at lunch and let my pup out, but when I started a new job I knew I would need someone to walk my Husky mix Smokey. I emailed Underdogs, and the owner Greg got right back to me about scheduling a meet n greet. Greg is friendly, honest, and responsive. Underdogs not only has some of the best prices in town, but they are a small trustworthy company. They also have great policies about scheduling walks that work for the client and their online booking system is super easy to use. I would recommend Underdogs to anyone who has a 4-legged friend in DC! read more

Greg is fantastic. I got the name of his company from a neighbor who uses him for dog walking services and she was really happy with them. So I called him up and met with him to discuss taking care of my cat while I was out of town. He is a warm and friendly person but also very professional. He took great care of my cat and they even leave a report card in your home of when the visit(s) took place and what they did. When I returned, it was clear my cat had been well cared for while I was away. I would definitely recommend their services and use them again. read more

Under Dogs has been walking our crazy mutt for several months now, and we could not be more thrilled with the service! Greg, the owner, really goes the extra mile to get to know your dog and give them the best of care. Our dog had a nasty habit of aggressive behavior when a previous dog walker tried to walk him, and Greg (aka DC's own dog whisperer) knew just how to get their relationship on firm footing. Add to this expertise their very fair prices and their quick customer responsiveness, and you've got a great local business! read more

UnderDogs is amazing!! I cannot emphasize enough how much I love them! Greg has a passion for dogs and is always there when you need him. My poor poochie was in and out of the ER the past few weeks and Greg took care of him whenever I asked even if I had to add/change/cancel walks at the last minutes. I really like the 10 minute option as I like walking my dog later in the day but need someone to let him out to tinkle in the afternoon. UnderDogs is the first dog walking service I've used, and I hit the jackpot. They are simply wonderful! read more

UnderDogs is a wonderful pet sitting service that we've been using for just over six months. Gregory, the owner, is a gem and takes excellent care of our cat. He is very reliable, always easy to reach, and has always accommodated our travel schedule, even with last minute requests. Our cat is really happy and comfortable with Greg and his crew, and when we get home the litter area is cleaner than when we left! We are very happy to have found UnderDogs as it gives us peace of mind when we travel. Cannot recommend them enough! read more

Greg is very professional and his services are beyond trustworthy. I was very grateful to of found this service to walk our 2 dogs. We ended up having a friend that is living close by and able to walk our dogs at any time for a very small amount of money do our regular walks. However, she recently went out of the country and at that time my fiancé suffered a severe back injury. I emailed Greg late that night asking if anyone could walk our dogs the next day. He emailed the next morning saying he had contacted Ian and Ian would be there to walk our dogs. Unbeknownst to Ian, My fiancé was home when Ian came to walk the dogs that afternoon and Ian walked our girls for over 45 minutes! My fiancé was so appreciative given that our girls had been bothering him all day while he was unable to do anything with them! I highly recommend! read more

I found out about Greg through a recommendation from a friend who was using him. My dog Tucker is nervous around new people, and is not a big fan of people coming into the house. When Greg came over for the initial consult, I was jabbering away telling him about Tucker's issues, and Tucker just barked a little, smelled Greg and went away and laid down, no issues at all. I was shocked because Tucker is usually a huge pain when people come over. Greg just has a great energy and I think reads dogs really well, and I was so relieved that I had finally found a dog walker who got it. To add to that, scheduling walks is very easy, he is great at communicating and confirming appointments, leaves a little summary of the activities from the walk, just all around I can't say enough how great it was to be a client of UnderDogs. I recently moved to Silver Spring, and I wish he would work up there! read more
