We have had Selena for all of our visits, which is really nice that it's the same person going to your apt. each time and not a different person who doesn't know your pet. The price tag is well pretty on par with other pet sitting services in the area as I researched ahead of time. I've found that they go out of their way to answer emails or calls quickly, which is especially important with last minute trips. Their online booking is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate. It would be great if they got a phone app, but the web version is fine especially for a small business. Highly recommend if you are looking for petcare for your dog or cat. They are in Cap Hill, Brookland, and NoMa.

She's incredibly smart and before finding Atlas she was pretty well behaved but I had sort of hit a wall with her undesirable behavior (barking, separation anxiety, jumping up on people). I knew she needed better instruction than my partner and I were giving her, but knowing how social my dog is, a group puppy class didn't seem ideal. Luckily I met Atlas owner, Danny, and immediately I felt the right vibe. He seemed to have a training approach based in dog psychology, and I knew I was gonna have to think like my very intelligent dog if I was going to effectively communicate with her. I then met with Thomas (who I thoroughly enjoyed on a personal level too!) for only 2 hours and we went over a lot... all sorts of tips and tricks and it helped me to understand the overall philosophy of dog training. I was so busy going over every training mistake i had made, that I didn't even notice that Thomas was efficiently correcting her and my dog began to be on her best behavior... quietly cuddled next to me. Later on that night the change became more apparent when my partner was also like "um did you notice how obedient puppy is being?" We began joking that it's like we brought over a military school recruiter and now she's like "I'll be good! I'll be good!" We're not 100% sure which tip that Thomas gave us was so magical (but I suspect correcting the pack hierarchy was a major point) but it worked! Barking has turned into a low growl or nothing at all, she's stopped pestering us for fetch in favor of waiting for "play time", the results are kinda mind blowing! But the best part I never saw coming. Until seeing the after effects of Thomas I didn't realize how my stressed my puppy was. So now everyone in the house is happier! This is one of those business I love to support! Great people doing great work!

Once I brought the issue to their attention, instead of correcting my account, they tried to assign blame on my card, even though they charged the very same card fourteen weekdays in a row after the alleged problem. In addition, I never received an explanation as to why some days I was charged more than others, for the very same service.  All in all, Atas Doghouse is a convenient, affordable option for doggy daycare, but you will want to be diligent about checking the charges to your credit card frequently.

From the moment you meet Megan, you can tell she is deeply passionate about the care of animals. She cares about their wellbeing just as much as the owner! She's not just a service provider, she's a godsend to our family and new pup! From field trips, long walks, south block pup cups...Megan has given our new pug amazing socialization and enrichment. He is thriving as a new city family dog and we have Megan to thank for most of that, continually looking out for him, updating us with photos and videos of his fun-filled days, and her extraordinary effort to adjust him to all different types of dogs and people! Just a few of the reasons include: a) Easy booking through an online portal, which also allows you to create a detailed profile for your pet including info such as feeding schedules, medications, temperament, etc. b) Reasonable pricing. c) Excellent customer service and responsiveness to questions, schedule change requests, etc. d) Detailed updates after each cat-sit visit including photos. But the thing that really sets Wanderpups apart is the amazing care from their team of dedicated pet-sitters. Our cat is not the most cuddly or affectionate guy. He's wary of strangers. But we have been lucky enough to have a handful of repeat sitters, and each one has gone above and beyond to make friends and gain his trust. It has been amazing to see how much he has come out of his shell. Now, instead of hiding under the bed when they visit, he comes out to greet them, allows them to pet him, and gives them lots of headbutts (basically cat-speak for "I love you, you're my friend"). Cierra came to the rescue and was soooo accommodating, even at the last minute. Since my pup is so young and can't go on true walks yet because he doesn't have all his shots, I selected the pet services. (I think that's what it's called on the site.) Cierra took my pup to use the bathroom, fed him, played and took him out again before leaving. To say I was grateful was an understatement. Like others have said, she provides updates and pics.
