I didnt know if I would find a primo sandwich location open on a Sunday since they do more of their business Monday to Friday , but I was pleased to find The Sandwich Spot open. I got pretty much exactly what I was looking forx and enjoyed a great lunch at home.

Newish sandwich spot for the area so of course I had to try. They're set up like a chain, clean,…read moreorganized with a system that seems to know what it is doing. But don't think there are multiple locations...yet. Upon receiving my sandwiches, it was wrapped in a paper with their company logo, and from a quick glance it is super similar to the Jersey Mikes logo in terms of color, so it has a real familiar vibe. No hate just an observation. This used to be another restaurant (maybe even several) on the edge of an industrial zone/business park, but also not too far from several shopping strips. There's spacious seating inside, but in the later afternoon when I went, nobody was eating in. But quite a few take-out and third party pick-ups. I even saw a poster showcasing their catering aspect for common work lunches on the company dime. Good for them. Niles Canyon ($14.50/4*) I opted to up this to their combo meal which includes a bag of chips and a soda for another $5. So this was easily a $20 lunch meal without tipping yet. Pricey yes, but not because they are pricier than most, but that is just the going rate for eating a meal outside these days. $15 - $20 per person are common and anything under $15 is now considered cheap eats and getting harder to run into. This sandwich had slightly warmed up deli turkey that when stacked with the swiss cheese slices, kinda softened the cheese. It wasn't ooey gooey but the cheese wasn't firm and cold either. There was another layer of prosciutto as well which wasn't too noticeable but did add another dimension. I chose to go with the full produce choice, as I love the freshness of veggies to go with meat sandwiches. There was also a layer of fresh avo slices which lent a creamy richness to the bites. I tried one of their sliced breads to go for this sandwich, as I tried a sourdough roll for another sandwich that I got to-go for my work lunch the next day. That way I got to sample their bread offerings. Their sliced marbled rye bread is thick sliced, very soft and moist with a good bread chew. They use a good bread supplier for sure. On top of mayo and mustard which is common, they also put their Bomb Sauce which seems like a garlic-y spread of sorts. I can definitely smell it, but the taste isn't overly strong. I'd say super similar to Mr Pickles. Prosciutto Sandwich ($13/4*) This was an all-cold traditional sandwich. I took a couple of bites there to see how it was fresh from the counter, and I ate the rest the next day at work. I gotta say I liked it better the next day as all the flavors melded more together. Even tho the veggies get a bit mushier, I've always liked a well dressed salad sensation in sandwiches, kinda like a Muffeletta sandwich where it is refrigerated overnight, meant to be eaten the next day. Their prosciutto isn't the old school imported version, or at least I've never had one quite like it. I'm assuming a domestic version, even seemed more like cappicola to me as I sensed a tinge of fennel up in there. So pretty satisfied with my first visit. I'll definitely get sandwiches here again for work or day trip lunches. Pretty much on the same level as Togo's or Mr. Pickles, but just more local. With sandwich names as The Quarry Lakes, The Decoto and The Dumbarton, just pulls on my local lovin' heartstrings. Props.

We stumbled upon The Une on Yelp and decided to treat ourselves on a Friday evening. We got there a little bit before they close at 6pm. Upon entering, we were greeted by the lovely owner. I wish I got her name! She said that her son owns the shoe shop that's close by. She was super sweet and welcoming. She also has a nice selection of candy for the kiddos, but we want to delay giving our baby sweets until much later haha. We ordered the beef bulgogi sandwich and it came out pretty quickly. The bulgogi was flavorful and the sauce that came with it was really tasty too. The veggies gave it a nice crunch. I enjoyed the cucumber, but the carrots didn't seem as fresh. I also would've preferred the roll to be a bit more toasted, but overall I enjoyed it and would go back to try more sandwiches :)

I tried the chicken dip & pesto chicken wrap. I loveddd the chicken dip! It was super gooey, warm, savory, a little sweet, and just perfect. I'd highly recommend trying that. The pesto chicken wrap was a nice refreshing bite but it's not really my thing in terms of flavor. Definitely needed a lot of hot sauce but my mom liked it on its own! For the drink I got Okinawa Brown Sugar less sweet. I liked it! It was indeed not too sweet and super tasty. The bear cup is rly cute! And the shaved ice was a must-try despite being already stuffed. It was tasty and refreshing for a hot day. The owner was so kind here!! She owns this shop and her son owns a shoes/clothes shop two doors down. They are both so genuine and sweet. Inside of the shop has a few seats and is has nice artwork. This spot really seems to care about their community. Show some support!!

Depending on day, long lines but it moves fast -- I came on a Saturday and it was extremely busy. I was #8 in line and spoke with another lady while waiting. We both agreed that for the price point, flavor, and quality, this spot beat the competitors out easily. Then I approached the register and a gentleman took my order, #6 extra meat. And I ordered a Banh Cuon as I got closer to the front. The bread, cold cuts... everything was fresh -- I remember when the sandwiches used to be $3 a piece. Now it has climbed to $8 due to the increase in price of ingredients. However, the taste, service, and quality did not suffer as a result. I love Banh Cuon. I open the fish sauce container and drown it. It soaks up the flavor and I avoid having to dip each slippery piece in the container. Overall, best quality for the price. Sandwiches are made by the same people that were there a decade ago, maybe even further.

I love all places that have a theme that sets them apart from other establishments. Especially ones that have names for their menu items that are jovial. We were greeted initially by the gentleman at the counter. He was super friendly and asked if we had any questions. Idk bout yall but when we go somewhere and the person refers to you as "boss" you can kinda feel the vibe that you're gonna get good service. And it was exactly spot on. The dude helped us with questions we had and after ordering let us know he'd bring our food to us. We waited a couple mins and our food came out! Initially my first thought was "damn, they're not stingy with their portions here!" We opted for the Goku fries and a regular Deadpool sandwich. It being our first time we wanted to try different flavors. BRUH, that food smacked SO HARD! We slammed everything and kept saying, wow this is good. The ingredients were fresh, the green sauce (whatever it is) was delicious on our sandwich! We will for sure be back & tell all of our friends about this place!

First thing that surprised me was the size - it was certainly on the smaller side, especially compared to other sandwich places. Understandably their price is more affordable, but next time I would probably just size up. Flavor-wise, the sandwiches themselves tasted great and I had no complaints there. The issue was the bread. The Dutch crunch was a literal ROCK. On my first bite I actually had to stop and take the sandwich apart just to eat it more comfortably. I thought maybe it was just one, but both sandwiches had the same issue. Dutch crunch is usually a bit firm, but this was on another level. The mac salad and potato salad were solid for what they are, maybe a little more sour than I prefer, but still enjoyable. Huge props to the staff though. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The lady at the counter even apologized for the wait, but it honestly wasn't long at all, under 5 minutes for me. The person packing my order also threw in two chocolate chip cookies, which I really appreciated. We all ordered shwarma plates except my husband who ordered a wrap. The shwarma plate was very nice - it came with a small salad, rice, and shwarma. For Filipinos, actually, this fits the palate very well - there is seasoned meat with rice. What else do you need in life? The salad is just a healthy bonus. My husband really enjoyed his wrap and he'd be interested in returning. The wrap used a flour tortilla...but the filling was very good. Even my parents who don't like to venture too far from Filipino-American food were interested in returning, especially because the location is nearby Popeye and Seafood City.
