Had to give a shoutout to Juan Carlos for the bomb carne asada burrito--compliments to the chef! This was our third visit, and we finally tried the burrito... and wow, it did not disappoint. So flavorful and perfectly made. Their salsa was also a standout--freshly made, and you can definitely taste the difference. It added the perfect kick to the burrito. We also had the black cold brew and an iced Mexican mocha, and both drinks were just as good. You know it's quality coffee when even the black cold brew has noticeable citrusy notes. We were in the area to play golf and needed somewhere to grab a coffee and breakfast. Did a quick search on Yelp and found Brewja. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but my girlfriend got an horchata latte, which I took a few sips from and I thought it tasted more like a mocha and didn't have much horchata flavor but I still enjoyed it. The surprise was easily their empanadas. I'd come back just for these as they are probably some of the best empanadas I've ever had. These things were full of filling (which is rare) and came out hot and fresh. We tried both the spinach and egg & the cheese and potato, I loved em both. The chimichurri it came with was also tasty. Definitely grab a spoon to make sure you can get some on every bite. 10/10 would come back for their empanadas alone. They are $7.50 each, but one kept me full for most of the morning and into the afternoon. All the staff here were super friendly and the space is beautifully decorated. Would definitely be open to trying the rest of their lunch menu next time around. read more

this is a cute little coffee shop on the corner of a small plaza in san lorenzo. they had a few outdoor seating with cute chairs -- perfect for outdoor. when you step inside, you'd find seating from left to right. beach style vibe is what I'm getting. it's cozy enough to stay and do some work rather than just grabbing a coffee. they also have ample amount of parking. service was fast and staff were also polite. I ordered a spinach feta croissant and that was yummy. For drinks, I ordered a menu item -- coquito iced coffee; it's sweet iced coffee with whipped cream on top. I'd totally recommend it. read more

I brought my cousin here for the first time. She had a breakfast taco the yolk was runny and we forgot to tell them well done they gladly changed it to a well-done egg. I also had a coffee con Leche and a waffle and a toast with avocado and egg extra runny just the way I like it. My cousin love the way they made her coffee not too sweet. Been a while since the last time we went to Brewja. Thought we'd stop in for a quick coffee break since we were in the area. Parking lot is pretty small and limited, but street parking is also available. When we arrived, they seemed busy behind the counter. We were the only ones in line with a few parties waiting for their orders on the side. Took a minute for anyone to acknowledge us. Took 10 min before we were able to order- Coquito Iced Coffee and Mazapan Latte. Then another 20 min to get our drinks. I enjoyed the flavors, but found them to be a little too sweet for me. Idk if it's typical to wait so long for drinks here, or if it was a one off experience, but it is something to consider if you're looking to be in and out quickly. read more

Such a cute and cozy spot! As soon as you walk in, the vibe feels warm and inviting. They even had a movie playing on a screen projector which made the atmosphere super relaxing! Great spot to grab and go! Small parking lot, but just enough further customers. A had a hot cafe con leche and enjoyed how it was an overwhelmingly sweet. Staff were in the midst of decorating for the holidays. Seem like a very family, friendly and oriented establishment :) There are a few spots for you to have a coffee day or work remotely. I Came in on March 30 @ 10:40am. I ordered an elote toast and Dulce de leche coffee. Sadly she had no elote toast. Which I understood. My daughter wanted a small watermelon drink or lemonade. The cashier said they did not have any. A lady came from the back and said she can make one. But the cashier did not look to happy that her coworker came out to offer after she had said no. They had some cups of a small pineapple and large watermelon drinks in the front. I asked her if we can have a small watermelon and she said no we had to buy the large at this point I felt she didn't want to sell us anything. So we only purchases 3 items. I use to bring my kids here between 2020 trough 2023 and today my daughter asked if we can come back and give it a try. I've heard about Brewja for a few reasons over the last few months, but decided I wanted to try it personally for myself. What a sweet little surprise located in a busy & small strip. To note, circle the lot a few times and cars come and go. (Non-metered) What a menu! While a bit elevated price-wise from just a typical cup of joe at your local donut shop, I was into it and here for it. I noted a local radio DJ had a special coffee on the menu called the Cherry Cream Cold Brew..yum! Is cherry the new it-flavor this season? I almost ordered that one, but the amazing staff let me sample the Coquito Iced Coffee (Little Coconut), and I was sold. Other notable mentions: the Fresh Mint Cold Brew, Dulce de Leche Latte, and Mexican Mocha. Also yes, they have a non-sweet coffee menu too..but had to mention the good good! Really cool savory/bakery menu too. I ordered an egg/spinach empanada which they warmed (comes with a delicious Chimichurri Sauce). They also carry Tutuli Coyotas (so fun, look this up!) and other yummy breakfast/snacks. Also to note, this spot is visually and aesthetically a very cool vibe. They had a kiddo movie playing from a projector on one wall, and really just the place to-be if you're looking to open your laptop while on the road. We were given a warm welcome by the owner, and our order was taken and delivered to our table promptly. As a person who eats gluten free, I was delighted to learn they now have GLUTEN FREE TOAST! So I ordered the hot chick toast with gluten free bread, and asked if they can add bacon. It was no problem. I think next time, I would add an extra egg if possible. I had iced matcha with almond milk, which cooled me down when my food was spicy :) My husband got the chorizo burrito and steak empanada and iced horchata coffee, all of which he enjoyed. We have been coming here for years, even before they had a full food menu and before their renovations. It's always been a solid spot with delicious selections here. The drinks were good, but the experience left me feeling a little brushed off. The music also felt out of place for the vibe--hearing Pitbull and Lady Gaga blasting at 10am was kind of strange. Typically an unfortunate stereotype about small business coffee shops is that they tend to have mediocre drinks and high prices. However this is not the case with Brewjas. Brewjas drinks are delicious. I have tried the Mexican Mocha, the Dulce de Leche Latte, and Horchata coffee, and all were amazing. While often on the sweeter side, the drinks are always enjoyable and the menu is beautifully unique and inspired by Latino culture. The service is good, and the owner is extremely friendly. The ambiance is also great, it is a nice small cafe you want to stick around. The prices however, are a little high. In my opinion it is worth paying for in order to support local businesses and also because of how good the drinks are, but it is something to keep in mind. Overall a great coffee shop, one of my favorites! read more

They have pastries to eat with your choice of cafe beverage as well, but I think sometimes they can run out of them when they've been busy. I had ordered the churro toast and the tropical green tea. My friends had ordered other things, too, but I had forgotten exactly what they had. I know one friend had ordered the peanut butter and banana toast, but I forgot what drinks they ordered. We were all really happy with our orders! The churro toast was perfect. I think it was delicious: perfectly toasted, but not too sweet! I also enjoyed my green tea. I dislike hot beverages, so the iced green tea was perfect for me! I had a really great experience at this cafe, and I would not hesitate to come back! Love Yelp for this!! Found this little gem in San Lorenzo on my quest to find good local coffee shops. I have been here twice, both on an early weekday morning so it wasn't very crowded. They have a very cozy interior with good seating if you want to relax or work on your laptop. The service was friendly. The lovely lady at the register recommended the S'mores mocha. I was worried it may turn out too sweet but it wasn't. The drink was delicious and this was in their seasonal holiday menu. I also tried their breakfast sandwich which was quite decent. I absolutely love this hidden gem in the bay area! I love how nearly everything is made in-house and they put a lot of care/time crafting each drink/food. The drinks I've tried are the iced Mexican mocha and the iced coquito coffee. Both delicious and had a good dosage of coffee in there. The Mexican mocha was surprisingly a bit more sweeter than the coquito coffee. I personally enjoyed the coquito more and would get it next time. I love how both drinks were bold in coffee flavors, and didn't taste like sugary drinks. The whipped cream was heavenly! I also got the churro croissant which was delicious. My hubby and I wanted to go for a drive! So we headed to our go to coffee date spots... For a chilly, we both got a large dulce de leche with oat milk. I noticed their very lovely decorated monthly special. March Matcha with a variety of matcha lattes. I love a good matcha. And so does my daughter. She typically sticks to a basic matcha. But I wanted to change it up. So I asked the barista what she recommended. She said she loves the Strawberry Horchata and the Lavender. So I decided to get both! And of course my daughter wasn't adventurous and turned down the drinks... she didn't like the floral notes, and she said the strawberry one reminded her of the special k strawberry cereal...I took a sip of each and claimed them both! I finished my cup of coffee and had an iced matcha... The lavender matcha was so calming to drink. You can smell relaxation in a cup. But the taste was light and not overwhelming. I savor the lavender matcha as I dealt with stressful emails! This afternoon, I drank the strawberry matcha. It does taste like Special K Red Berries... it's like a delightful dessert. The three flavors created this fusion that had a nice blend. Not one overpowering the other... it's like a dance of flavors with each sip. Today was a happy drink day! Okay, I am burying the lead here cuz the mushroom empanada was DELICIOUS! Oh and the chimichurri too - so good! And only $7.50 - a bargain! I wish I bought two - it was that good! My only disappointment was that they don't sell gift cards, I had wanted to purchase one for someone who just moved nearby. I'm secretly glad though because I only bought the empeñada because I didn't want leave without buying anything!
