An update: Nolan reached out to us offering a refund for our move, and was very apologetic and kind. It feels like he tried to make it right. ---- Some pros: Nolan is very friendly, he responded quick about the moving and had a fair price for hourly move of a 2 bedroom apartment. They showed up earlier in the 8-10 am window on a Sunday which was great. We had a lot moved and packed already, so they did the big stuff we couldn't move. Phil, one of the movers, is really nice and efficient. They seemed to move quickly and had things handled with move out. Nolan was very communicative during the before moving out process, sending forms via email and confirming the move with a call/text. Cons: felt they were kind of careless with our furniture, even if it was just a local (and relatively close) in town move. Whenever I've moved, previous movers have always plastic wrapped dressers and furniture with blankets and made sure drawers didn't drop anything during a move. They turned one of my desks sideways and things spilled out of the drawer (I didn't take them out expecting they'd wrap the dresser). They didn't protect any furniture we had loaded. One of our desks had come apart (the drawer side had broken off the desk), we were able to get it back on the desk although now it's not as stable as it was. We felt they rushed even though there wasn't that much stuff and they had plenty of time, we didn't even hit the 3 hour minimum time limit. While moving, we warned them there's a low glass chandelier they could possibly hit while moving in. During the move, one of the movers hit chandelier in the new place and broke a glass piece and bent it sideways. Nolan told us that 'insurance won't cover that' and gave us 30 bucks off the move. I must have been the customer after Lucia G.'s moving experience 10/9/24. Several reasons I give this moving experience a 1 star: 1. Nolan, one of the owners, never smiled, wierd vibe, (was told by one of his employees he got screwed on a job recently) hawked me like I was a Thief, like I was not going to pay him. Real Bad - and sad, to treat a customer that way. 2. Was promised boxes would be marked into what room they go (I paid to have them pack, move and unpack). Today is over 3 weeks since I began the "adventure" with Nolan and crew. TODAY I FINALLY FOUND ALL OF MY KITCHEN ITEMS AND WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE UNPACK OF ONLY ONE ROOM!! As I looked into bedroom furniture and office furniture, I found that, instead of packing correctly, they would not use a box and put the kitchen towels, etc. INSIDE MY BEDROOOM ARMOIRE!!! I have no idea when I am going to find everything for our offices so that they will be useable and functional. 3. Damages Yep, I found on the top shelf of the master closet one of my marble tables in pieces and left there, not telling me...completely destroyed. Today as I was pulling kitchen stuff out of my bedroom armoire I looked up and a piece of the top trim of the custom-made furniture was gone - about 8" of it!!. No one told me. I expect it will take us at least 2 more months to find everything that is to go where it should go. 4. The 1 star is for 2 of his crew - warm, genuine kindness and care and nice sense of humor. Romeo and James. I hugged them both and gave them tips only. I interviewed 5 companies. My antennae was waaaay off on selecting this company. To the Owner's glib response after mine: I agreed to zelle NF moving at the end of EVERY SINGLE DAY - I was given an invoice and I paid it. ALL THE TIME ON TIME. Excellent customer service. I was able to text pictures of everything to save time for good faith estimate. Everyone on site was extremely friendly. Crew took the time to setup my two sink vanity in bathroom so my contractor had little work the following day. All boxes were labeled and crew placed everything in each room accordingly. Additionally, last minute the crew made one additional stop at my request to pickup a few more pieces of furniture that were not in my original plans. Highly recommend these guys !! read more

Once again, Nolan helped us out on short notice on a job that was a bit unusual. We had a prefab work pod that needed to be assembled but the 300-400 pound panels required some heavy lifting. Normally I try and support small and local business over big box brands but choosing NF moving was a mistake I hope you dont make. I paid for 4 movers and a 26ft truck and received about 2.5 workers. 2 of the 4 were excellent and the other 2 didnt do much of anything. Unfortunately you are judged by the weakest links especially when you are paying more for additional manpower. The truck they brought was so dirty on the inside all of my couches were covered in dirt. One of the movers took out a chunk of the drywall in my brand new house carrying something in and acknowledged he hit it and stated that it just looks like dirt. The owner offered me a small discount downplaying the situation saying it just needed touch up paint and made me sign a disclosure saying I would make no further claims. You can see from the photos it was clearly more than touch up paint as I had to have the drywall repaired. I paid for more than 6 hours on what should have been an under 5 hour job with drive time. The overall service was very low quality and would not recommend this company. read more

Nolan and his crew were extremely professional, being very careful with my items and attending to small details that other movers have missed in the past. For example, they put down mats to protect my flooring and were very attentive to making sure items got placed in the correct rooms. They were punctual, and the pricing was very fair. Hired them for a local move from Moreno Valley to Riverside CA. Scheduled for this Tuesday with an arrival window of 8-10:00 AM. Phil and his partner came to the apartment at 8:15 AM and they started right after they came and move all of the boxes and furnitures. They were in an out with in 3 hours including dissembling the adjustable bed, and the tvs. Moved to the new location and only spend less than an hour to unload and reassemble the furnitures. The price was fair and only paid about 400 for the move. Great value! read more

I used this company to assist me in packing 3 U-haul U-boxes. In hindsight I should have ordered 4 Uboxes. They arrived on time, we agreed on the start time and went to work. The two men had a long walk from my condo unit to the Uboxes. That slowed the packing. The heat was also high which was tiring. I only had concerns that i was told everytjing fit, but then was told everything did not fit. The manager Nolan came at the end and assisted. I was told 2 dining room chairs and a small table didnt fit. But actually a Zinus bedframe and all my artwork which was wrapped ready to go. I would still recommend this company because they were careful with everything. The employees were nonsmokers. One suggestion is to not let employees use their earbuds to talk to friends on the phone while working because it is a distraction to what you're assigned to do. It will slow a person down trying to multi-task your attention. My sister and I ended up packing the 3rd Ubox while they were packing the other two. It took my sister and I 1 hour to pack my garage and fill the Ubox. The two guys took 6 hours to pack two Uboxes. read more

We used them to move about 1 hour away. They did an excellent job! The biggest thing to me is that the owner-operator is honest. His fees and services were exactly as promised. We had him and 2 other strong guys move our things. We explained the certain items that required extra care and they did their best to accommodate them. We are extremely picky and they respected that. They even carried heavy items into the home without the dolly because we wanted to be careful about our floor. They also put together a bed for us, which was awesome. The trailer is bigger than it looks. I was sure we were going to fill it with our overloaded two bedroom apartment contents, but we didn't even come close. read more

I was looking to move out of my apartment that was located on the third floor of our complex. Initially, I thought I didn't have too many personal items, but after packing everything, I realized how much of a headache it was going to be to move all this stuff to my home. I reached out to a couple moving companies, but Nolan from NF Moving was the ONLY person to ever get back to me, and give me solid rates without any hidden fees. Everyone else wanted to get back to me, and also left a lot of variables in the air. Forget that. I confirmed with Nolan to complete the move a week out. Nolan arrived with his colleague ON TIME, and they got RIGHT into it. Non-stop for three hours, they were putting in serious work, carrying all my stuff down three flights of stairs and into their trailer. Midway through, they took a lunch break (which I was not liable to pay for) and then they got right into it. Honestly, these guys work hard, and they were able to complete the work later on in the afternoon. Nolan gauged the work pretty accurately, so the total cost of the job was expected, nice! There was an incident where one of my furniture sustained "damage," but honestly, the quality of the piece was subpar, and it was something that I did not mind at all. Nolan made sure to bring this up to me, where someone else would've attempted to hide the bug-a-boo. Nolan is one of the few that continues to give his all into his work, provide superb service, and an honest/cool dude all around. This would be the first time for us to decide to use a moving company, as we have always done our own moving in the past. So I went ahead looked up a few business on Yelp. NF Moving was one of 4 that I had called. I spoke to Nolan, 1st call and briefly describe the locations and what was needing to be moved. He gave me an estimated amount and broke down how they charge and was polite. I confirmed I would call back. After calling a few places, I decided to to choose this place, after reviewing the reviews. I called back the following day and set up a moving date, confirmed time and location. Nolan forward the forms that needed to be sign, same day. The day of the move, I received a call to confirm they were on there way. They arrived around the time they provided, I walk the office and confirmed what was needing to go and once they were all set up with the moving truck, the guys went straight to work, they were all friendly and professional. They definitely hassled while still being careful. They loaded up the truck quicker than I estimated. When getting to the new location, same thing, they moved quickly and carefully and were very patient with us, as we were still undecided on where we wanted to have all the furniture, they moved thing around for us and at the end we decided to have them take some desk that we no longer wanted, which was very helpful. The amount we paid was pretty spot on to what we estimated, which was great. So overall, they did a great job. Definitely will be using them again in the future. read more
