I want to share my bad experience with anyone looking for a moving co. I contacted Muscle Movers and the owner (Troy) came to my house and did a walk thru and gave me a quote of $5800 for a move to NV. I asked if he was licensed and insured he said licensed, but not insured. He said if anything was broken he would pay me the value. I asked for a contract and he said he would give it to me the day of the move. On July 11, his crew was 2 hours late. They brought a 26' Uhaul truck. Mayflower had quoted me and was bringing a tractor trailer truck. They loaded the truck and he tells me they ran out of room I would have to leave the rest of my belongings behind. I was devastated. I asked if I could get my wedding picture off the wall of my deceased husband. He said do you really need that? He said throw it on I dont care if it all gets broken. He was questioning everything I wanted to take. He said he had misjudged how much I had. I told him to go rent another truck and it was all going. He refused. They closed the door to the truck and took off. I was crying and upset with so many personal items i wanted to take. I sold my house and new people were moving in. I had to leave it all behind and get to Vegas to get the keys to my home before they closed at 5pm. He did not show up with the load in Vegas but his workers did. He contacted me that night for the rest of the pmt. I would not recommend this company. I asked for a copy of the contract and he refused. He knew he did not meet the contracts obligation. Now I see why he is not insured. Possibly many bad claims. read more

I needed to move. Pack up my stuff, and move everything. Somehow this was unusual for the owner. He didn't have boxes, tape, etc and had to go get it. I asked for 3 employees for $150 an hour total. I got 3 sometimes 4 or 5 at a time, which is a higher price. They were late every day. The second day, they were 3 hours late. He claimed it was because I didn't tell him everything and that he had incomplete information about the job. What he didn't know was that I overheard him booking another job for that morning the day before. I didn't have the heart to tell him because he is a good dude at the end of the day. 3 stars for still being polite, and offering for a discount for the numerous problems that came up throughout the job. read more

Troy and his team of movers deserve a 5 star with helping us move out of our large home. They were hardworking and careful with our belongings. They worked a long day, were respectful and listened to our requests. It is the second job that was not what we expected. Based on the second job, we give them a 3.5. Be it a much smaller request, that's where service response and communication tapered off. We needed something moved and were quoted a price which we agreed to. We drove to the pickup location at the agreed upon time and were texted halfway there to state they would be two hours late. 3-4 hours later, they said they had to reschedule. We again agreed to the following day but again received no responses to texts, messages, etc. We have a feeling it was because of the small job and small amount they would profit. If this were the case, telling us so would have been better. It was a very short notice we gave them, however simply saying they couldn't do the job would have been fine. The issue was telling us they would be there, calling us while we were on the way to meet them to say they would be late, then leaving us in limbo wondering if they would come at the later time, then ultimately cancelling and rescheduling. All in the same day. Finally never confirming the rescheduled date/time. We had to cancel our pickup for the item we needed to pickup a few times, based on what they were telling us. This experience left a lot to be desired and will probably give us hesitation to use and refer them. I get small jobs aren't the best money maker, but with such a large first job and us giving $200 tip too, we expected to build upon this relationship with this company. Consistency and honesty is important to us, so it is disappointing they did not come through. We were contacted again about this review by Troy, and his expectation of a five star review. This review reflected a great first experience and a not so good second one which we feel is fair and our honest experience with the service we received. read more

He left me stranded with a heavy table outside, a bed that was not put together, and furniture that was only half way put together. His crew are great guys but it's not worth putting up with Troy's greedy behavior. LOOK ELSEWHERE. I will update this post if the need arises. I tried getting him to finish the job for three days. I am very disappointed with the services provided. I was told movers would arrive between 7 am to 9 am. They arrived at noon. One young man was helpful and seemed hard working while the other struggled. He moved slow and didn't carry much on each trip to the van. He lazily tossed our things to the floor. We just moved and have a huge refrigerator and had no idea how we were going to get it out of our apartment and down a steep, low ceiling flight of stairs. We reached out and got a response immediately with a quote. We were their fourth move of the day and they pushed the time back a little due to an earlier move being more difficult than expected, but they communicated everything well and it wasn't an issue. They were very efficient and got our refrigerator moved out of our old place and in to our new one without any issues or damage. They even had to take off the front door of our old place to get the fridge plus the handles on the fridge itself to get it to fit through the door, so we're very happy and thankful they were able to do so. They put the door and handles back too. Honestly we were stressing over how we were going to move it, and they made it so easy! I have never been so DISAPPOINTED with a moving company in my life. Confirmed TWICE with me that they will come on my moving date from 10 to 11am. I am sitting here and they still haven't show up at 3pm. Called the owner and said they will be here 1-2pm.
