They have the best Chicken salad sandwich I have ever had and the meatloaf sandwiches are all great. I had the Lucifer one, which was tasty and just a tad spicy. My wife had the normal one which I thought was good (not as good as mine). My son had a grilled cheese. All very good. Are we reviewing things during Covid? I hope so because this place was a great find. My sister lives on the east side and I do not and we were looking for a new place to try. Yelp took us to New Fangled and it was such a good experience! I got there a bit ahead of when my food was promised and it was already ready to go and the staff was nice to me despite the fact that I walked right by my pickup order and asked them for my pickup order (thanks, dudes). I got the Old Cluck which I loved (Fang sauce is worth the hype) and my sister got the Chatty Kathy and grilled cheese for her kids. We also got the chocolate chip cookie with potato chips which is just as good as it sounds. An unexpected obsession is the potato chips. I got the balsamic vinegar and salt chips and they were KIND OF LIFE CHANGING (so much salt! Slightly sweet with the balsamic!). In short, get yourself to New Fangled. It's the solid sandwich place we need in these difficult times! read more

While visiting Bexley we found Newfangled Kitchen because of its great Yelp reviews and interesting menu. My husband had the Georgia Reuben and I had the Bella Donna minus the peppers. I am not a big sandwich fan but I have to say, these two are exceptional! The flavors were complex and perfectly balanced with the fang sauce tying everything together. We also shared a fruit cup that not only had a great mix of fruit but all was perfectly ripe and fresh. Service was attentive and quick and the restaurant itself is clean. I wish I had taken a picture of my sandwich, it was a very nice looking sandwich. I got the swiss'shroom melt and it was good... and by good I mean: The marbled rye was portioned perfectly- it was thick enough to support the fillings/toppings, but not so thick that it overwhelmed them. The generous slice of meatloaf was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The swiss was plentiful, gooey and stretchy- a perfect cheese for a melt. The mushrooms were nicely prepared and glued in with cheese and sauce so they didn't slide out of the sandwich as much as they typically do (in sandwiches assembled with less thought/care). The fang sauce provided a nice touch of sweetness and helped bring it all together. I guess by good I mean it was an expertly assembled sandwich with quality ingredients that were prepared perfectly making it a delightfully newfangled form of comfort food. I will be back. read more

Such an amazing little sandwich shop! Delicious meatloaf, yummy salads, and above all, the best customer service in Bexley! Newfangled has become a weekly tradition for me, with affordable prices and such a cozy atmosphere. I would recommend anyone to visit Newfangled. I either get the Lucifer's Hammer sandwich, with pepper jack and spicy Fang sauce, or the Asian Chicken Salad, with kale, chestnuts and edamame. I work in the Bexley area, and was hungry in the middle of a long day at work, so I checked Yelp to see what was new for places to eat. And Newfangled Kitchen came up as #1 in the rankings. Tried the Fang (one of their meatloaf sandwich options) and their dill pickle potato salad. Both were delicious. As others have said, the meatloaf is not the hard rock tasteless variety that one would usually expect in a takeout type establishment. It was light and tasty. The Fang sauce was the perfect condiment. And I loved the dill pickle potato salad -- A little light on the pickle but plenty of dill. I'm a little picky when it comes to potato salad and usually don't like anybody's potato salad but my own, but this was up to my standards albeit very different from my recipe. Service was both warmly welcoming and efficient. This is definitely a place for hearty appetites, as I was only able to eat less than half of my sandwich, even though I was famished before I started eating. Looking forward to going back to try some of the other enticing things on their menu. read more

Never left a review on Yelp before but I installed the app Juliet to post this review. This place is my absolute favorite, I go 2-3 times a week minimum. As someone with Celiac's disease, they've got a complete menu for me including bread less chicken fingers through GF bread on any sandwich you'd like. Additionally, as a local store their prices are very very affordable and they're very kind with their quantity + quality of food for the price. Also, their signature fang sauce is so damn good I couldn't recommend it more. read more

I definitely recommend this restaurant for people of all ages. Their meatloaf is so tender, and it falls apart in your mouth so easily. The Asian salad is possibly the best salad that I've ever had before. The little fangs menu has good portions and my kids said that they wanted to come back tomorrow and the next day. What a gem in Bexley. This family owned and run Deli is one of the best in Central Ohio. I had the Cluck Ole hen. It had a freshly cooked chicken breast with lettuce, tomato with Fang sauce. The Fang sauce is incredible. All of this was put in between an egg washed bun which was the perfect bread to filling ratio. My brother had the favorite called the fang which is their meat loaf sandwich with lettuce, tomato, red onions, pickles, American cheese, fang sauce, on an egg washed bun. It was a lot of food and worth. Both of our sandwiches were grilled on a press grill and all the ingredients were incredibly fresh. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I had been anxious to go since it first opened, so I'm glad I finally made it out here. It wasn't super busy (St Paddy's Day Weekend on a college campus), so we ordered very quickly. I had looked at the menu before coming so I was ready to go - The Southern Melt. I am a huge fan of pimento cheese so I was sold. I ordered a side of the potato salad as well. I was with two other people and we all received our food within 10 minutes, probably closer to 5. It was SO quick. The portions are so generous. I almost couldn't finish my sandwich (I took the rest of the potato salad home because I am weak). The meat loaf was delicious, the pimento cheese and other toppings had a lovely kick (lookin at you, red onions). The potato salad was exactly as I hoped - delicious. The staff was very friendly and we had a good conversation with them. I will absolutely be back, and I will recommend it to everyone I can!
