We stopped here about 11am on a Sunday morning. There is only street parking, but we had no problem finding a spot. The seating area is tight and limited so would be a problem if they were busy. However, we sat at the bar and it was perfect. My husband and I both ordered the salted maple latte in mugs. These were delicious and I loved the big mugs! I got the egg and cheese sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar biscuit with pimento cheese. My sandwich was warm and soft. The pimento cheese was the secret ingredient that pulled the flavors together! My husband got the cinnamon roll. He is a cinnamon roll lover and said Kittie's was fantastic!! He preferred it over fox in the snow which we a had a few weeks ago! Stopped into Kittie's Cakes for the first time after seeing they were voted best cinnamon roll in Columbus... obviously had to try it! Turns out, it was delicious and reasonably priced at ~$5. The place is cute and attached to a book store, but only 4 small tables and not exactly the best vibe for studying. They seemed to be sold out of most of their pastries even before noon (they were out of cinnamon rolls when we got there but thankfully more were delivered). . Will start out with disclosing: I know the owners for years due to our sons rowing in regattas together and really like them, so my review might be unintentionally biased. However, I will try my hardest to not be biased. Kitties is located across the street from the library. Ironically, it shares building frontage with a bookstore. when the bookstore is open, there is an interior door between the two businesses that rolls open allowing customers to explore both business spaces. Its pretty special! It really works aestetically. They use "one line" coffee here (the name of roasting company) and thats local- so Yay! The machine they used to do the coffee here is considered one of the industry's best, so your coffee beans will have the right pull giving it great flavor and consistancy --its amazing at pulling the right amount for a balanced cup of coffee. They have some in-house syrups, which I have found really good. Plus, they try to have creative specials so always ask whats new! I got a spicy honey latte made with oat milk. Quite enjoyable. What I like about this location vs their 2 other kitties locations is its dining areas. It has a unique curved bench with tables. Its just fun. It also has a covered side patio that has been cold weather-ized. So there is plenty of spots to hang out here. Kitties also make cakes... I have never had one but you can order those. I have had their tiny cupcakes. Many, many times! Omg. Yum. Tons of flavors. They make three types of biscuits and sell egg sandwiches made from them. The egg has a lot of rise and looks delicious (have not eaten it) but its made with the jalapeno biscuit.... In town for a conference, when my brain went foggy. I was tired of listening to a regurgitation of the "up and comers" in the pharmaceutical industry. I knew I needed one thing. An extra 125 mg of caffeine. I stumbled upon Kittie's Cakes. I grew distracted when the new Colleen Hoover novel that was placed on the display case of the bookstore caught my eye, but hey? I digress. I returned to the line to place my order. But then I remembered, my shoes were driving me up the wall so I walked back out to my vehicle and swapped out my fresh pair of Cheetah Brooks for a comfy Clark's sandal. Suddenly, I heard a commotion, looked towards the street and saw an elder gentlemen berating a tow truck driver who pulled into the lot. Look, I get it. Tow truck drivers have a negative reputation. But that is no reason to excuse someone's hostility towards a hardworking citizen. I politely shouted "let that man exist!" I walked back into the store, picked up my excellent coffee and left. When I returned to my hotel room, I could not find my left cheetah Brooks cruiser anywhere. I called everyone I knew. Everyone other than my local cleric rejected my calls. My cleric offered no advice but was polite as ever. Suddenly, it came to me in the night. I woke up and thought "could it be?...did I?..... I couldn't have....I LEFT THE SHOE IN KITTIE'S COFFEE!" I contacted them and sure enough, Steve, a salt of the Earth man confirmed they had my shoe. Steve went out of his way to mail me my shoe. 11/10 would return. I have been to this location before. I love the vibe, but I truly do not understand the attitude and incredibly rude service the server gave me. I was here to pick up a mini cake that I ordered and attempted to order additional cupcakes and breakfast items, but the attendant (short blonde hair) was too rude and too impatient to explain the mini cupcakes in the case that I wanted to order. Overall I was underwhelmed. The Carmel latte I ordered was bitter and not sweet at all. I had to doctor it up with sugar and creamer, even after adding sugar and cream, it still was quite bitter. The cinnamon roll scone I had was amazing. It was flaky, with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. The coffee shop itself is very small l, maybe seating for 6-8 people, and got quite crowded as people were waiting for their coffee. Also, there are no signs telling you which end of the counter you should order at people were constantly confused about where to start. Pre-pandemic I was in Columbus for a work-related event, and somehow stumbled upon Kittie's Cakes. Specifically, the cinnamon rolls, but I also grabbed a chai as well (my drink of choice since I don't drink coffee). I walked in through the side door and after noticing the connecting bookstore, I stopped in there first. When it was time for a pick me up, I ordered a latte. I was going to grab some cakes but there were like two available and none looked satisfying enough to purchase. My latte was ok, but nothing to get too excited about. I had Kittie's tonight while in the Gramercy bookstore and loved it! I had hot chocolate with almond milk (and a killer homemade marshmallow - YUM). It kinda made me regret every time I order almond milk hot chocolates from Starbucks, because it was so. much. better at Kittie's. I also got two of the mini cupcakes to take home - the Black and White (worth getting) and the Ooey Gooey Chocolate (... Too much chocolate for me, tbh). I thought the price (2/$5) was a bit steep given how small they are, but clearly it didn't bother me too much because I bought them. I came on a Saturday at 10 and it wasn't busy quite yet, although as we sat closer to noon, lots of people came in and out. It's a small place with not many tables and chairs. Theres some inside seating and some on the patio. They had heating lamps out there and it was covered which was nice. My friends and I sat inside at one of the tables. They don't take cash, only cards. I ordered the Nashville latte with almond milk, which had cinnamon, honey and vanilla. Pretty light on the flavors. Still thought it was good It was a bit expensive and small though. Tiny amount you get for paying about $5. Wow! Nothing wrong with local ingredients and such and such, but I think marketing this would be great to promote the quality of the product and let people know why you're paying a little more than Starbucks. My friends got the vanilla latte and the salted maple latte. All very good! The salted maple latte was saltier than I expected...almost too salty. Anyway, great atmosphere! They played a good selection of tunes: India Arie, John Legend, and some oldies. They do a great job cleaning tables and greeting and bidding you goodbye. The baristas were all very nice and hipster. I love the blue tile on the floors and the huge light fixtures above each table. The tables are small but we didn't need much space. The food looked good although we didn't try anything. Lots of people ordered their breakfast sandwiches and cupcakes. It's a place to grab and go, since seats can fill fast! People linger sometimes and other times they don't. I will add that the mugs they give for coffee if you sit in there seemed bigger. So maybe ordering a to go cup is smaller ? Not sure. The patrons were mostly retired, hip-looking women and families with young kids. I didn't see a ton of young adults although there were a few. What's nice is they've got a parking lot at the back which is marked for them. Otherwise, parallel parking is a good choice, which is no trouble to find in this neighborhood. Quaint little shop located next to a huge bookstore. It is more of a coffee shop than anything. There weren't many options of pastries left. So I opted for their Maple biscuit breakfast sandwich. I loved how the edges of the biscuit were almost caramelized and crunchy. It was a good sandwich, but a little pricey and the entire biscuit fell apart on me! Kittie's made our amazing wedding cake and cupcakes nearly 7 years ago, so every time we visit town we have to get some of their amazing bakery items. I was disappointed that nearly all of our favorites have been discontinued or too limited to get. They no longer make the kitty o's which were delicious giant oreo, marshmallow filled cookie sandwiches or our favorite fluffernutter cupcakes. However, we still were impressed with their classic buckeye and mocha stout flavors. We just got off our flight so we enjoyed the caprese sammie and the kids has the pbj. Both were delicious - although the pbj came on a spicy focaccia bread that my kiddo thought was a little too spicy. Good thing the cupcakes could help her overcome it and finish her lunch! Nice coffee shop and cozy place to grab a bite on Main Street Bexley. A great place to sit and take a break from your day. I've been in a few times, usually for the Stumptown coffee. It's always brewed well. Most recently I came in to catch up with an old friend. The place is definitely cozy, but also really comfortable. The outside patio is great. All the food I've had has been delicious, top quality. The baked goods are likely more expensive than other places you've been but they are also very, very good. They often using some unique flavors in their goodies. Their little cupcakes make a lovely extra-special birthday treat that is sure to be a hit. (I know from experience) I highly recommend the biscuit and pimento, my favorite menu item. The biscuit is perfectly cooked, moist and buttery. The pimento spread has a little kick to it. Staff is really friendly and helpful. I always feel welcome. They also get your order out quickly. Update: still coming here pretty much every Sunday. I was perusing Gramercy Books next door and discovered that Kittie's and Gramercy share a wall with an opening. So once I finished up with my book purchase, I popped directly into Kittie's to pick up some goodies. They have a fantastic menu with a variety of coffees and teas, baked goodies, and some breakfast and lunch items. I promptly zeroed in on the baked goodies displayed on stands behind the glass next to the register. A friendly staff person walked me through what flavors where on offer that day, and I ended up going with a chocolate chip cookie, a snickerdoodle cookie, a cinnamon roll, and a mini buckeye cupcake. Everything was tasty, but the cinnamon roll was out of this world! It was so good and an absolute favorite! The mini cupcake was adorable and very good, as well. They did a great job packing it to go; everything was so nicely wrapped, including the mini cupcake in its own little box with a stand to help it remain stable during its journey. We stopped by for lunch yesterday. We each got the chicken salad (served with a baguette) and then we split the cinnamon roll and raspberry biscuit. The chicken salad was very tasty. It had large chunks of chicken, red grapes, celery and shaved almonds. The biscuit with raspberry jam was also excellent. It reminded me of the biscuit from North Star Cafe. Kittie's has been around for awhile in German Village, and makes great cupcakes and other baked goods. This location is an amazing expansion, and closer for us so we might be here a bit too often... This spot is right on the corner of Main and Cassidy, directly across from the Bexley library and attached to Gramercy Books. Walk through the bookstore or come in from the street, and you enter a bright, open little nook with a few tables and an enticing glass display case filled with treats. They also have an expanded menu, with a few breakfast sandwiches, etc. Grab something for breakfast or lunch, have some coffee, and linger or hit the road. Service is great, and the folks behind Kittie's love what they do. I've had everything they make, and it has all been good. Today I got a sampler of baked goods- cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, scones, cookies. The Mickey-Os are perhaps our favorite: a lush homemade take on oatmeal creme pies. The cupcakes are little nuggets of richness and flavor (we had them, along with one of their cakes, at our wedding.) The cinnamon rolls are over the top. I love the biscuits with jam and the scones. The Columbus Coffee Trail brought me to this incredible place. The co-owner of the shop, Kelly, is extremely friendly and welcoming. She even remembered my name throughout my time there! She shared with me how she is an ex PGA golfer who decided to open this shop with her wife several years ago. Her wife works primarily at the German Village location, where they start their morning baking every day. They use Stumptown coffee for all their drinks. I ended up getting The Nashville Hoodie which was incredible! It's a latte with cinnamon, hot honey, and vanilla and is hands down one of the best coffee drinks in Columbus. There seems to be a lot of regulars that come here which makes it have a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This place is def a must see and a place you need to check out! read more

What a YUGE win for Bexley! If you've been to the original Kittie's in German Village, you know the amazingness you're in store for. If you haven't, let me tell you all about it... First, owners Mollie and Kelly are about as adorable as you can get. They're also badass bakers and businesswomen. Everything is still baked in GV and transported each morning to Bexley. For breakfast, there are these gorgeous biscuit and egg sandwiches, along with other sweet pastries that are sure to please everyone. They also have yogurt with homemade lemon curd + granola, which is supremely delicious and is the single gf menu item. For lunch and afternoon snacks, Kittie's has sandwiches on freshly-baked foccacia. The coffee here is also a winner. They brew Stumptown, and they have a great lineup of drinks! Speaking of drinks, pretty soon Kittie's will have its liquor license. Dessert + booze? Yes, please. The interior of the Bexley Kittie's is adorable. It's like a little beachy bakery in the heart of Columbus. My favorite thing is that this also serves as the coffee shop for neighboring Gramercy Books, which is AH-MAZING in its own right.
