The Barista was exceptionally friendly and very informative. Love that he took the time to check if the match was truly ceremonial. He made the drink with quite some expertise using the traditional methods of whisking in a bowl. I added a touch of pistachio syrup just to make it a bit different for the ride. Tasting it was NOT a disappoint....it was DELICIOUS. The place had a lot of indoor seating and it is very bohemia-ish in the decor. They appear to really connect with the local community in their agenda as well. There were different programs you could be a part of. We can taste the difference between different origins, something I can't say about everyone's beans. Their prices are average, a good value considering that shipping is free on orders over $55 or so: three one-pound bags meets this criterion. And shipping is reasonably fast. We live too far for bicycle delivery, so ours comes by USPS in a few days. Only thing that bums me out is the decorated fancy fiberboard box that contains a stay-fresh bag of the coffee. Seems non-green and wasteful of their profits. Yeah, it looks great. But seems like they could just put a sticker with their logo on the plastic bag, at least for mailed orders. Or at least for mine. We came on a Saturday and it was pretty busy but the line moved quickly enough and they had extra seating in Natalie's (not as cute as in royal flamingo lol but I appreciate that there was plenty of seating!). I ordered the seasonal Buy Myself Flowers latte and a mushroom and leek pastry. The latte was delicious, and the syrup was the perfect amount of floral and sweet. The flowers on top were also super cute! The pastry was also delicious and I believe they are all sourced from Three Bites Bakery! It is a little pricey, but super fun for a weekend splurge.
