Stauf's is my go to place for coffee in Columbus. I love the German Village location with the Book Loft directly next door. The coffee is top notch and piping hot. That being said parking can be tricky to find especially on weekends. This visit we got there after 12 pm on a busy Saturday and all the pastries were sold out. Get there early or be disappointed. read more

I visited this Stauf's location before strolling around the book loft with a friend. We went on a Friday afternoon and thankfully it wasn't too packed. I can't remember the name of my drink but it had a purple sweet potato base and was really good! Stopped in after a visit to the super cool book store that's essentially connected to this place (check that out too!). The had "infused cold brew" which is something I never saw before. The flavor of the moment was Vermont maple! It was unsweetened but you could taste the maple flavor. With a little bit of half and half and brown sugar simple syrup - a delightful coffee! The staff were very helpful in making sure the cold brew was made just the way we liked it! read more

You likely stumbled upon this place as it's situated beside of on the coolest bookstores, the book loft of German village. This coffee house had a ton of seating inside and out and also has a public restroom. The coffee menu is pretty standard, but I wasn't sure if they offered matcha, so I had to ask the cashier. The cashier confirmed they sold matcha and so I ordered one. The matcha wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. The service is what compelled me to give this coffeehouse a 4 star rating. read more

Love a good local coffee shop. We are staying nearby for a wedding this weekend, and have been here everyday this week. They have plenty of options and there's always something new to try. This local coffee joint is located in the heart of German Village, and next to the Book Loft. We walked over and when we walked in, we were greeted with the incredible coffee smells. The roaster located right at the front and endless bags of coffee. I ended up trying their drink of the day, and loved it. The cold brew made for a really refreshing drink and the energy kicked right in. We also got a few different savory items, the toasted bagel came with 2 cream cheese cups which was perfect for both sides of the bagel. All in all we had such a great experience, and can't wait to come back and try more coffee blends & drinks. read more

Staufs in GV might just be my favorite Columbus coffee shop! Front room, back room, and outdoor seating so there is plenty of space even on the crowded weekends. The menu is extensive with rotating seasonal drinks and plenty of syrups to choose from. The prices are reasonable (between $3-$6) and the staff is always friendly. read more

Grabbed an oat milk latte, large and an iced lavender and chamomile tea. The oat milk latte is okay, decent amount of shots. The lavender chamomile iced tea is so-so, not a very pungent flavor of lavender or chamomile either. At least there are more loose tea options here than the kiosk at North Market. read more

There weren't a lot of options in the area during our visit that were open, and thankfully Stauf's covered what we needed! I'm not usually a big coffee guy so I'm always a bit hesitant to review coffee shops. But the staff was really friendly (though understandably annoyed at the rude crowd in front of me) and helpful. You could tell the place gets a lot more traffic, is a big open space that would be nice to work in if there aren't many people around -- though I'd imagine that's a rarity. A bit more unkempt than I anticipated on this visit, especially given how slow it was. Not necessarily long-term neglect, just things like the counter with napkins and such being pretty well-used and scattered. But maybe it was busy right before we walked in and they hadn't gotten there yet. read more

I enjoyed the summer special- a coffee cooler! It was a delicious cold brew concentrate with vanilla extract. I also enjoyed a chocolate chip scone. This was the perfect start to my sunny morning visiting the city for the first time. I got to sit outside at one of the many tables and enjoy the weather and company of my friends. Can't wait to visit again tomorrow and try something new :) read more

The location is fantastic. Nice place with lots of seating and an outdoor area to enjoy the nice spring weather. It was very busy in a Sunday morning with the line almost lit the door, yet service was still quick and the wait was pretty short all things considered. I ordered a cappuccino as I always do and asked the barista if they had different beams to choose from and if so if any of them were naturally processed. I don't think she quite understood the question because she simply responded by telling me that all beans were naturally processed. The cappuccino tasted ok, I have no idea what beans were used, for me personally though it lacked flavor. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time and the place was too busy for a discussion about beans, but I would come back in the future on a hopefully less busy day. read more

Great place for whole beans or loose tea. Old world, European vibe. Service was super quick even though they were busy. The coffee bites back. Or at least what I ordered. Dark roast, acidic, caramel and smoky notes. They definitely have plenty of lighter and fruitier roasts too if that's your thing. read more

Another awesome find perfectly placed next to an incredible bookstore. Pair your favorite coffee with your newly purchased book for a great combination. Prices are good. Roast their own beans in the store. Very cool. They even have some swag to buy and remember your experience forever with. Worth a stop for sure. Parking is street parking and can be a challenge but worth the effort. read more

Egg nog latte. I know it's probably seasonal, but EGG NOG LATTE. I stopped here on the way to Cincinnati, looking for a warm pick-me-up on a cold afternoon. The staff was super nice. The location was buzzing with young folks, old folks, couples, all sorts of people. Many of them typing away on their laptops. This is a spot I'd work from if I lived here. Anyways, the latte was excellent. The espresso strong and robust. The egg nog providing a sweet, festive backbone. 5/5 would recommend. read more

Chiming in here this morning with a COVID-19 update on this location of Stauf's. I stopped by for a latte to find the entire coffee shop set up like a well oiled coffee making machine! Currently they are only offering coffee to-go, but on a nice day you are welcome to social distance outside on their luscious green patio. They really went above and beyond on the safety measures. From social distancing to one time use pens, plastic barriers, one-way traffic, you name it, they thought of it. I felt 100% safe the entire time I was there. As always, their coffee hits the spot. I'm glad to see they've kept their lavender syrup, as I love lavender in my latte all year round. I can't wait to get back here to work one day. I surely miss the hustle and bustle of remote workers, students, artists, and friends gathering here. It'll be here soon and I'll be back once more. read more

Came here this morning for my morning coffee before work and decided to try something different. Today I ordered the iced Chai latte for me and it was amazing and a black coffee for my boyfriendand it was great! Staff: The staff are always so sweet and welcoming and so patient especially when I want to try something new and can't make up my mind blessed their hearts for dealing with me this morning lol. Service: Super amazing and fast service they never disappoint. Their also very helpful in my decisiveness today which I appreciated so much. Selection: They always have an amazing selection and I love that they change things out here and there and bring in new product its refreshing. Quality: The quality is always top notch I've never been disappointed. Seating: My only complaint is that they are so good there's never enough seating but that's okay. Prices: For both my drinks I paid around $6 I believe. Honestly they have the best prices by far of anywhere else and ther coffee is the best. You definitely get what you pay for here Overall Experience: If your looking for a quiet and friendly place to get a coffee or tea you need to stop here and give it a try. Stauf's is the best coffee shop in the German Village. My go-to was an iced chai and a pastry, simple but consistently delicious. They have ample indoor seating in a brightly lit and minimalistic space and a few tables outside on uneven brick roads. I'm obsessed with the Stauf's located in German Village, although I have only been able to go a couple of times. You could easily grab a coffee to do some work inside, sit on the patio during nice weather, or walk around and enjoy the views of German Village. It can get busy, but they have the room in the back where it is more quiet for you to enjoy some peacefulness. The coffee at this particular location has always been on point! I tend to get iced chai tea in the summer and for some reason only this Stauf's location makes it the way I like it! You can also see that they roast their own coffee beans and they sell it also. There are plenty of syrup and flavor choices for your coffee and drinks along with milk alternatives for any dairy intolerances. read more

I was craving a cup of coffee before heading out on a hike so my boyfriend and I found a local coffee shop near our airbnb in German village. There were plenty of seatings inside and outside of the shop which is perfect for anyone that wants to get some work or readings done! I got a triple shot espresso and my boyfriend got a double shot espresso. We're not huge fans of sweet coffee so we ordered our usual. Both drinks were a bit too bitter for our liking, though, and had a distinct aftertaste. This coffee shop is located in a very cute neighborhood so it would be a nice place to quickly grab some coffee or pastries while walking around. There are so many options of desserts and pastries to choose from... we ordered 6. We could have ordered more but we didn't want to be gluttonous ;) Their coffee, tea, refresher options are also extensive. I got an iced mocha and it was divine. Iced mochas are my go to and they are not all made the same. This one was perfect! Creamy without being too milky and you could taste both the espresso and the mocha. 10/10!!! It was so good we went back the next day -and we do not live close by. Our son then had an appointment at Columbus State and we made it a point to stop by for the third time in a week. This place is a gem! The ambiance, the service, the food -everything exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this place, my only complaint is I wish we lived closer! P.S. Try the honeycomb pastry ~ delish!!

I got the smoked salmon sandwich, maple butter latte, and a of course some macarons. My friend got the bacon onion quiche, chocolate pistachio feuillette, and a spiced apple matcha. Drinks were great. Both were creamy and tasty. I preferred the maple butter latte because it wasn't too sweet. I also wished mine came in a larger size. Smoked salmon sandwich was my favorite part of the meal. It was dill forward which was not an issue with me. The bread had a nice crunch to it. The cucumbers add a nice freshness that paired with the crème fraiche. I got a small tasting of the pistachio dessert which was rich but surprisingly made you want more. I like the nice touch of gold specks which made it very elegant. My friend enjoyed the quiche which was exciting to hear since they hate onions. They said they didn't even notice any. Can't wait to come back for some seasonal flavors Tip: Parking is a bit tough. Try to park a few blocks down since it's rare to find a spot right next to the cafe.

I visited Tous Les Jours for the first time on Memorial Day (May 2026) at the Columbus location. I arrived around 2:30pm on a Monday. Surprisingly, they had lots of options available even with my late arrival because most bakeries run out of items quickly. They sell croissants, cakes, milk breads, macarons, drinks, etc. MY ORDER ($18.95 total for 4 items) -- Twist Donut ($2.95), Sweet Frank Roll ($4.50), Almond Croissant ($4.75), and a Whole Milk Loaf bread ($6.75). 1. Twist donut ($2.95) - sweet but not overly sweet. It tasted just like a regular twist donut that you'll find at other donut shops. 2. Sweet Frank Roll ($4.50) - good. Perfect savory option for breakfast or lunch. Soft and buttery bread base. I think $3 would have been a better price but the bread roll was good. I ate this in my car before driving back to Cleveland. It held me over until I got home. 3. Almond Croissant ($4.75) - my favourite item - buttery with some almond cream or paste inside. Topped with almonds. I don't like creamy things at all and I didn't realize that this croissant had a cream inside until I opened it but the cream is very light and it is more of a spread than a cream. 4. Whole Milk Loaf Bread ($6.75) - Fresh and soft. Definitely my other favourite item. This was all gone within a day, that's how good it was. Buttery goodness. The best bread. Overall, I enjoyed visiting Tous Les Jours and I hope to visit their Cleveland location soon. I ordered takeout so I didn't sit in but they have some tables and chairs available. I'll definitely be back if I'm close by the area again. Stopped down here to do some reading and enjoy the patio during some nicer weather! Some of my friends raved about this place, so i gave it a try. Based on their words, it was a bit underwhelming in terms of design and cleanliness. However, When you walk in you're immediately hit with the wondrous aroma of caffeine and There are a lot of cool coffee makers and gadgets on the wall, and some nice looking desserts in the case at the counter. Also, the place is so much larger than I expected! I ended up just sticking with a house blend coffee. It was a nice cup complimented by the patio. I just want to thank the owners of Staufs for letting everyone in this city know who you are. To the workers, I'm sorry you have to work for spineless people. To the owners, might I suggest an area in the store where ICE can buy maga masks. Have fun serving them lattes bc they might end up being your only customers. Hope it was worth it. This place is the bessst. I love the huge space they have and the plethora of seating. You can always find a spot to sit down and hangout. Not to mention big tables! Other than the space itself, they have a huge pour over coffee selection, and their espresso drinks are good too. Can't speak on the bakery items though they look great. Nice baristas evertime I've been here too. This is my staple shop for getting work done. read more

A guy was actually walking his two dogs and was going through the line on foot. Not something on the bingo card, but hats off to Third Way for accommodating. And me being me, I forgot my water bottle and they kept it behind the counter when I came back to get it later. They didn't answer the phone or return my message, but a small place, small staff, I can see how it might have slipped the mind. My brother lives nearby, was a bit hesitant on the area, but we were fine. The parking lot could use some pot holes filled but, that isn't why you come here. Coffee is smooth and freshly brewed. While waiting for my drink, I saw how they made the matcha and I already knew this was not gonna be great. They mixed the matcha powder with hot water in a plastic cup. Typically, matcha powder should be whisked in a bowl with hot water. The brand of milk they were using was also not one of my favorite milk brand. I got the drink and it was so mediocre. Not matcha taste and no sweetness from vanilla syrup. Additionally, no creamy taste because of the milk they used. Overall, would not recommend anyone getting matcha here.
