Came here on a rainyday. Ordered the classic number 1 and an order of eggrolls and mm mm delicious. The eggrolls came out piping hot and extra good. They had just the right amount of crisp and the fish sauce that came with the eggrolls had lots of peanuts in it which made the sauce taste very good. The pho was very good. The soup had tons of flavor to the point where I didn't put any hot or oyster sauce in my pho. The service was okay. Nothing great but nothing to complain about either. Bottom Line: 4.5 stars. I had been craving beef vermicelli and spring rolls and I'm new to the area, I saw this one had a lot of good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I been here 3 times. I've only tried their pho and the stir fry beef flat rice noodle (chow fun/mee-ka-thang). The pho was very delicious. The broth hit the spot but their chow fun was not something I expected. I won't order that again. The customer service here is excellent. They always want to make sure everything is good and it's nothing but love I will come again whenever I don't feel like making pho . However, it is super hot in there. Even with the fan on. It's hard to enjoy the food with all the heat in there. Each time I have visited, there's only 1-3 customers. This spot looks hidden. I think they deserve more customers. read more

I don't usually eat pho in Long Beach, but sometimes you just need pho to feel better the next morning. My friends and I decided to go check out New Pho right around the corner. The pho place is owned by Cambodian people and they greeted us as we walked in. The ambiance of the restaurant was pretty casual, not loud at all but more calm. Once we were seated , we looked at the menus. Overall, price wasn't too bad: 5-6 dollars for a bowl of pho depending on one you get. I decided to pay an extra dollar to try out the filet mignon for my pho. The wait time for pho was around 7-10 min. When the pho came, I tried the broth and wow, this broth is probably the best broth I ever tasted in Long Beach. The moment it entered my mouth, I instantly felt recovered from last night. The hot fresh broth just flowed through my body once I swallowed it and it felt amazing. The broth here is phenomenal. Now the pho noodles was pretty similar to other pho noodles as I can't really tell the difference between noodles. But the filet mignon was why I gave it four stars. Honestly, I felt like it wasn't worth the extra dollar I paid for the pho to get the filet mignon. The filet mignon tastes average and nothing astounding like how I hoped filet mignon would taste. I'm not sure if this place made it wrong or you usually don't get filet mignon with pho, but I wasn't very satisfied with the filet mignon in my pho. Great place in the hood for some cheap pho. Ordered the house combo pho to go & the portions were huge (I ordered the large btw). I enjoyed the flavor & the different meats included with the combo. Price was around $6.25, not bad at all for a huge portion. The place was empty but is spacious in case it gets packed. Its a bit warm inside but they have fans on for you to cool down somewhat. I was greeted very warmly & ordered to go & the man graciously gave me & my mom some water to drink. Great gesture & definitely will tip next time I go again. Ate here a few weeks ago. We came in a group of 4. What I realized was that we were there before other customers had arrive but we got our food last. The food we got was bland didnt have much of a flavor and my friend had ordered some chicken with rice but they had put the chicken sauce all over the rice making it very soggy and to salty. And then my brother was eating his pho and saw a dead fly inside his soup. That moment we all stopped eating and I called the waiter and he wanted to replace the food but we all lost our appetite. We paid full for our meals but he decided not to charge us for the pho with the fly in it and said it's just a fly sometimes it fly and get in our food, um no that fly looked like it's been in the broth for hours. I love to have pho when the weather is cold which makes me crave for the hot soup but also healthy and tasty. I've tried couples of Vietnamese restaurants, loved them but not I wasn't impressed as much as the first time I tried "new pho". I mean, the soup is HOT enough that when you put the raw vegetables mixing with the noodle soup, it doesn't get cold. The broth is sooo flavorful I fell in love immediately after the first taste. the price is VERY friendly as well! I ordered the combo beef pho noodle soup (P1 on the menu), regular portion, and I told them to cut the portion of the noodle and add more soup instead (I love soup). Eggroll were just veggie barely has any meat in it or maybe no meat I guess cause all I saw and tasted was veggie. The pho is so bland I added a lot of hoisin and Siracha just to try to finish it. I'm Vietnamese and they didn't even produce the names of the pho right. These people aren't even Vietnamese! This pho had almost no flavor and gave me explosive diarrhea. The pho here is more expensive than it should be by about a dollar. My boyfriend liked it and he did not get sick from eating it but he is indian and doesn't know any better. The most important aspects of what I consider to be a good Vietnamese restaurant are taste, cleanliness, and convenience. And, of course, how good their pho is, because pho is my favorite Vietnamese food. I am Vietnamese. I remember the aroma of the pho I used to have from Cho Lon in Vietnam as a child. Heavenly. Nothing will ever come close to that. But Vietnam is a long way from Long Beach. I've eaten pho in Westminster. Good, but it's too far away. I give this restaurant five stars among Vietnamese restaurants in this vicinity. (Nothing can match Vietnam's pho.) I've eaten at enough restaurants in Long Beach now to know that pho tastes the best here. The broth is not watery. The meat is fresh. There isn't some funny smell or an over-reliance on fish sauce. The place is clean and smells clean. The people who work there are friendly. They offer me ice water every time I come for take out, which is gracious but not essential. There is convenient parking lot right next to the restaurant. The price is good. But the MOST important thing is the taste of the pho. In Long Beach, this is the best place. I've tried their spring rolls and egg rolls, too, and these taste pretty good also. Have yet to try other dishes. It took me a while to write this review, but I thought I'd better get around to writing it, because this place is good and deserves to thrive or else I would have to go further to try to find a decent pho place.
