    Chicken pad Thai
    Mark K.

Needed a quick lunch and this got good reviews. I expected a standard Chinese takeout place, which it is, but then I saw a Thai section on the menu, so had to try that. A pretty typical pad Thai. I got chicken, and there was plenty of that, plus lots of egg, veggies, etc. Not much sauce, or rather, not a very visible sauce, but plenty of flavor. Noodles were good. Large portion. Not the best in the city, but a very solid version. I also got crab Rangoon- not much crab, but made to order and a nice balance of crunchy and creamy. Again, decent portion. I dined in, but there are only three little tables and it is clearly a takeout place. Good service, to me and the several carryout customers I saw. Decent prices. Flimsy plastic utensils- use the chopsticks. Canned and bottled drinks.

Nice place. I never ate here before and neither has my wife. We thought the place was pretty good, but the painful part is all Chinese restaurants seems to use the same photo on their menu and you don't know what their food looks like. Plus, it's like many others as I said, same photo, but not the whole menu. You can't view the whole menu unless you pretend to order from z menu. Example, you have to order online for delivery, then it brings up the full menu. Hoping they fix that for people going to eat there so they know what all they have. Worth checking out. I'd say 3.8 out of 5.

NEVER AGAIN! I repeat NEVER AGAIN The meat in the house fried rice has question marks all over it definitely not chicken nor beef more like Mickey Mouse with soy sauce- DONT waste you're money - crab Rangoon's really let me down no type of filling just all fried dough - NEVER AGAIN

Food was overall good. The general Taos chicken had a little too much sauce, the bowl was very saturated with sauce but i did still finish it. Their crab ragu was delicious. Sesame chicken was good. Overall good food, well priced and it can be done ten mins from ordering.

New Fortune China is yet another Chinese takeout. I think it's almost the same as any Chinese restaurant in Columbus in many ways. They do have a few really good items. It has the authentic menu you have to ask for. The best stuff is on this. I like my Chinese food super fucking spicy. It takes care of that here. The items on the menu are mostly familiar. If you would like something more different you can ask for the authentic menu. There's all kinds of shit you wouldn't find in other Chinese restaurants. It has tripe, which we have seen some people actually order. The inside has no ambience so you should carry out. I would pick up something from New Fortune China. It's okay for the location. The inside is not good to eat so order takeout.

I ordered the pepper steak with no green pepper and light onion with white rice and steamed dumplings. I switched rice with my husband because he don't like fried rice and though the lemon chicken would come with white rice. The pepper steak was good, didn't get light onion but it's not a big deal. I like that they didn't put peas in the fried rice because it's tough to dig through when you don't like them. However I wasn't a fan of the fried rice taste. It had a sweetness to it, even after putting soy sauce to it. The steamed dumplings I didn't like because the outer dumpling part was way too thick so it took over the taste. Might try something different next time but I was kind of disappointed. Hope whatever I get next time is better.

First time and I'm in love with the vegetable fried rice. Huge chunks of carrot, broccoli, water chestnut, onion, mushroom, and bean sprouts. It was so good I ate it up before I even made it halfway through my entree of Mongolian beef. I'll be ordering from here again.

When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)

We were greeted and seated quickly and service was very friendly. As we were hungry, we took a mi Ute to decide what to order. We had planned on storm fish, but made a last minute decision to Sichuan sliced beef (we loveeee a numbing pepper!) with starts of egg roll and spicy wontons. Seriously those wontons are one of the best things in the whole city. They're SO good I could eat a few orders of those alone and be happy. Egg rolls are nice, but just a simple egg roll. Nicely crispy and tasty with the spicy mustard. The Sichuan sliced beef was the perfect thing for a chilly rainy dinner. We love spicy so I'm a bad judge of heat level, but this is spicy but a numbing spicy. Lovely spooned over steamed rice. The cabbage and bean sprouts were my favorite bits in this dish because they added a crunch. Might ask for extra next time!

Plus, I figured hibachi can take awhile, and I usually don't have a long time for lunch. Today I had a little more time, and I made a point to head over. It is a bit out of the commercial sprawl at the corner. Look for the food truck, that's the first thing I saw, and it helped me find where to turn in. I wasn't sure if there would be dine in, but there is, plenty of seating inside and out. Inside there are seats at the counter, plus booths, plus I think a couple tables. Menu is pretty basic: hibachi and a few sides. I got steak and chicken, with fried rice, and you pick two vegetables so I picked cabbage and bean sprouts. You get a Yum Yum sauce, and you can add others, but I didn't need them. And the sauce container they gave me was plenty big. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked in a nice sauce. The fried rice was great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And it all came out in about five minutes. They had a steady stream of carry out customers, but they still got mine on the grill, apparently as soon as I ordered it. Fast and good, and competitively priced for hibachi. A big portion, but not a huge, two days' worth of leftovers portion. But I was stuffed and couldn't finish it all. When I saw the drink cooler with just water and a few juices, I figured I'd have to go with those, but they do have fountain drinks. And they actually have a pretty good variety, cola, diet cola, cream soda, blueberry, cherry I think, and a few others. Anyway, several pleasant surprises, the food lived up to its reputation, I was in and out fast, and for not a whole lot of money in this day and age. I will be back.
