Very nice staff. They definitely are practicing social distancings from them and from us-lol. Food was made fresh and very hot to the touch in a to go container. I ordered chicken lomein and it came with fried rice and a soda for $6.50. I can eat off of this portion twice.

I just finished eating some great tasting Hot and Sour Soup and Vegetable Lo Mein. Yeah, I'm stuffed. The best thing about it was that it was just the leftovers from lunch so I got two big meals for my $8.70. Eastern Wok is a hole in the wall, order at the counter, sit down and wait till they bring it out to you type of place. Now the restaurant is frankly a bit run down and has no ambiance at all. They serve their soup in plastic take away containers, use Styrofoam plates and their utensils are plastic. It's no frills eating on the south end of town. I know I just lost a few of you... Oh, you're still with me? Cool. Let me finish with a rave about the Vegetable Lo Mein. It's a generous portion of noodles, broccoli, snow peas, scallions and carrot strips. Hot off the wok, flavorful with a hint of ginger too. The Hot and Sour Soup was thick and hearty with plenty of the good stuff in it. The employees here are also super nice too. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again for a quick Chinese food fix.

I had the beef mein it was okay.its was a small and I paid 5 bucks and something. The only reason I gave them a 4 star was the noodles was a little dry and oily.

This review is long so im putting my conclusion up here for those of you who don't have time for that, lol. This place is a hidden gem that is worth visiting again and again. Flavor of everything including pork fried rice is really good. The shrimp egg roll has big chunks of shrimp in it. If you like spicy you need to order it that way. I will be ordering take out again soon mmmmmmm. It was Sunday night and i was craving Chinese food. I didn't realize there was a third option on this side of high street and the other 2 places don't have the best reviews. Yelp said they were closed, but we drove by and they were open so I think it's important to note that for other first time customers. We ordered take out and food was ready fast so we hurried home to put these guys to the test. Crab Rangoon was made in wonton style and i prefer the racket ball (have no idea what that style is called) I like the crispy edges. I liked the filling just not crispy so I wouldn't order them again. We ordered the general tso combo plate for 7.50 and it was very good, but just like most places it wasnt spicy so you need to tell them you want spicy. I have to tell you i rarely am interested in the fried rice because it's usually not that tasty. I have to say i would order the fried rice as a meal that is how good it was so if you haven't tried it you should it had such a great flavor that i didn't put soy sauce on it!!! The pork egg roll was very good, but the shrimp egg roll was even better with actual chunks of shrimp (not salad shrimp big chunks I tell you) the flavor was very good.

When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)

We were greeted and seated quickly and service was very friendly. As we were hungry, we took a mi Ute to decide what to order. We had planned on storm fish, but made a last minute decision to Sichuan sliced beef (we loveeee a numbing pepper!) with starts of egg roll and spicy wontons. Seriously those wontons are one of the best things in the whole city. They're SO good I could eat a few orders of those alone and be happy. Egg rolls are nice, but just a simple egg roll. Nicely crispy and tasty with the spicy mustard. The Sichuan sliced beef was the perfect thing for a chilly rainy dinner. We love spicy so I'm a bad judge of heat level, but this is spicy but a numbing spicy. Lovely spooned over steamed rice. The cabbage and bean sprouts were my favorite bits in this dish because they added a crunch. Might ask for extra next time!

One person at my table wanted to exchange rice for noodles but she didn't seem to understand. The food was very good but a bit expensive but worth it. Because they give you plenty. We had to take some home with us. I would go back to Chilispot they did a great job in service and in taste.

Plus, I figured hibachi can take awhile, and I usually don't have a long time for lunch. Today I had a little more time, and I made a point to head over. It is a bit out of the commercial sprawl at the corner. Look for the food truck, that's the first thing I saw, and it helped me find where to turn in. I wasn't sure if there would be dine in, but there is, plenty of seating inside and out. Inside there are seats at the counter, plus booths, plus I think a couple tables. Menu is pretty basic: hibachi and a few sides. I got steak and chicken, with fried rice, and you pick two vegetables so I picked cabbage and bean sprouts. You get a Yum Yum sauce, and you can add others, but I didn't need them. And the sauce container they gave me was plenty big. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked in a nice sauce. The fried rice was great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And it all came out in about five minutes. They had a steady stream of carry out customers, but they still got mine on the grill, apparently as soon as I ordered it. Fast and good, and competitively priced for hibachi. A big portion, but not a huge, two days' worth of leftovers portion. But I was stuffed and couldn't finish it all. When I saw the drink cooler with just water and a few juices, I figured I'd have to go with those, but they do have fountain drinks. And they actually have a pretty good variety, cola, diet cola, cream soda, blueberry, cherry I think, and a few others. Anyway, several pleasant surprises, the food lived up to its reputation, I was in and out fast, and for not a whole lot of money in this day and age. I will be back.
