My husband and I really en "joy" to go. It's our goto Chinese place when we want take out. The food is always good and the portions are too. We typically have left overs to enjoy the next day. read more

I ordered Szechuan chicken and after 5 bites I had to go to the bathroom. At first I thought maybe it was just me. Then I had 3 more bites and it happened again. One of the little baby pieces of corn tasted sour. I had diarrhea the rest of the night and didn't eat anything else after that for the rest of the evening. I love Chinese food but, will never go there again, I'm open for suggestions if anyone wants to tell me a good place to go to. read more

Food was okay. Business was busy and thus a bit slow. Menu was smaller than I expected. read more

The best food in Columbus definitely a must try. Authentic fresh and fast. Will definitely go back here again. The food is a win win win! read more

Idk why this place only has 3 stars because it's the best Chinese takeout in the city IMO. Crab Rangoon is an A+ and so is the wonton soup. Egg rolls are always super crispy and well stuffed. I live in south Columbus and this is the only Chinese spot I frequent. read more

Crab Rangoon - I am an Out of Town Visitor - suggestion, stop calling this item Crab Rangoon when you're not actually putting any Crab meat inside. Specs of color is not crab meat. Actually adding crab meat to the item would improve it. read more

This was my first time ordering from here. I have no complaints. They were fast, friendly, and the food was good. I will definitely order from here again. I had the moo goo gai pan combo plate with pork fried rice, egg roll, and an order of fried dumplings. Everything was pretty good. read more

Chicken is all bread. Otherwise the food is usually good! Egg rolls and crab Rangoon is good

Food is good with big portions. Customer service was great. Pick up food and was hot and ready to enjoy

Unfortunately. After expensive refried, hard old chicken for the third time. We are done. The one star was not deserved. Over the years chicken was one of the signature reasons to come to this place. Apology not accepted. No excuse to come to a restaurant that gets a lot of service and receive old product on a dang weekend. read more

Food is basic low-end Chinese takeout. Flavors abound with that MSG-tang. Fried chicken better than Popeyes, with that used grease flare. Price different than online display. Read fine print on cost. Good vegetarian options sans day-old frozen veggies. read more

TUESDAY EVENING 930pm. SEVEN WORDS: Traditional Chinese Stir-Fry, Efficient, Reasonable, and Good. Ordered Chicken with Mixed Vegetables via phone. The order-taker was reasonably easy to understand and he quoted 10min utes. I arrived 15 minutes later and the food was ready and waiting. Always a good thing. I brought the meal back home and dug in. It was just what the Yelper ordered: Chicken with mixed vegetables. They included fried rice (which was far more preferred over sipmle white with this dish), and an egg roll. The egg roll was a little soggy, but still good. The entree itself was exactly what you'd expect. It's not necessarily to drive out of your way to get something better and it's not necessary to drive out of your way to get here unless your Chinese Take-Out options suck. TIP: I've had the Wor Sue Gai and it's the very basic type: breaded chiken, white rice, shaved iceberg and the normal sauce - no scallions, no fanciness. I'd avoid it here. read more

I ordered chicken cashew with fried rice and I also told her to make it spicy but it was not spice at all. The food was not cooked right, nor was the chicken. Worst experience, I wanted a spicy chicken cashew n fried rice and they messed up with the whole thing, they put way too much vegetables. read more

Generous potions of great food. We will be back again! I had the Kung Po Chicken combo. It was great. Just enough spice and peanuts. The egg rol was flavorful and crispy. My husband had his favorite dish General Tso. It was plentiful and very good. read more

I love eating at this restaurant. I would drive 30 minutes because it is far for me just to eat here. Recently, I ate here and got food poisoning. My sister and I both were sick after eating here. Joy to go has always been our favorite Chinese food place to eat at until now. I got the egg foo young and my sister got a egg roll and shrimp fried rice. We both had nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Please be careful eating here. read more

Always great food and staff is nice love the new look wish Covid would calm down so we can enjoy inside dining again

Slightly higher than average Chinese take-out joint. Joy to Go is really more of a take-out than dine in place, there's no real personality to their dining room. Except for those curtains straight out of th 1972 spring issue of Southern Living. Love those curtains. If you plan on taking-out, call ahead unless you're a patient person. The sauce is a little thick and sugary and the chicken just slightly over breaded, but I've seen far worse offenders of this in my life time. Major props for delicious fried rice. Its' not neon yellow and has delicious bites of pork. This is a great place if you're in the area and need to satisfy a Chinese craving, but not worth driving across town. read more

Just your typical Chinese takeout restaurant but still very good. Price is a tiny bit steep imo but that hasn't stopped me from ordering almost weekly. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for years. Today was no exception. I ordered upon arrival . My order took 40 minutes! They know me and my history with their restaurant. I received a short staffed apology. Meal should have been a comp. I will not return. read more

This place is fast/clean/easy to access! Staff is polite and the the food is good. I've been looking for somewhere local with good shrimp in garlic sauce and this seems to be it. read more

Consistently good food is always provided. I will mention that prices are slightly higher than other take out Chinese places in East Columbus, but it certainly doesn't deter me from their establishment. I actually went to school with one of the young workers; she and her family have come to know me as a regular. They even remembered my order! Beautiful customer service. Thank you for thinking of me, please take my tip! read more

I always come here! And the best sweet tea! Great family owned Chinese place! Always good and always hot!

I ordered chicken wings and shrimp and broccoli. Chicken wings were mediocre And they were very small. The shrimp and broccoli was pretty good. read more

Since writing our last review, we've come back here a good 4 or 5 more times (and recommended to friends) and we've still always received great, friendly service. Our friends also. read more

Just.....meh. Ordered the General Tso's chicken, was just constantly reminded of how much better Mark Pi's was.

Love this place, fast service but super delish Chinese food!!!!!!! My fave is plain lo mein and also the egg rolls and crab rangoons.

Typical mixed Chinese take out joint, they also have tables to sit in. Even though we walked in, our order was cooked fresh and ready to go in about five minutes. The service was really good. Portions are generous, and $25 goes a really long way for two (we're talking leftovers for lunch tomorrow). We ended up going here since Bruce Lee's on livingston was closed, but this looks like a newer (and cleaner) establishment. read more

I don't usually do reviews but this place "deserves" one. Staff was unfriendly and impatient. I ordered kung pao pork and curry chicken. The pork was like fatty jerky. Pretty inedible. The sauce was bland. Oh and as for the vegetables, mostly undercooked celery. I added some soy sauce to try to flavor it up and the bland sauce just took the soy and added no flavor. There was no heat at all. As for the curry chicken. Chicken was massively undercooked, rubbery. It was the most uncurry like curry ever. Vegetables were mostly undercooked onions. I know in my area unless you want to pay out ridiculous prices for the sugary food they serve at Panda express, there's really no other place to go that's close since Mark Pi's closed. Regardless, this restaurant has no right to even call this sh!t food. I came away feeling cheated and disgusted. How are they even still open. read more

This is the only chinese food restaurant I will eat at. The food taste great fresh. I have visited several places and this is the spot! Reminds me of new York chinese food. read more

I've been going to Joy 2 Go for many years. The food is very good. The only thing that disappoints me is the prices continue to go up. But there's no extra or nicer seating. We can't use the bathroom. What are we paying extra for? read more

Great roast pork lo mein, but very greasy, and lots of sodium if you eat big portion.

Mom and I stopped in for a quick dinner after a long day for both of us. Place is pretty non-descript, in a strip mall across from a WalMart. But the food was great. I had Mongolian Beef, mom had Pork and Vegetables, and we each had won ton soup. The young man at the register was friendly and welcoming, and the cooks were quiet but smiling. We dined in- the chairs and tables are typical fast casual, but clean and bright. Lots of folks came in and grabbed take out orders while we were there- all seemed friendly and happy with their orders. Overall, nice place for a quick local bite. read more

I had the shrimp fried rice and spring rolls. There was a good amount of shrimp but skimpy on the veggies. The spring rolls were so greasy I didn't eat them. I might go back and try something else but I fear my search for good Chinese take out continues... read more

The employees here are very unfriendly and offputting. The food was just above mediocre at best but exceptional in a hurry. Not too pricey but something about the people there made me not want to back read more

This place is really good always good food always fresh and consistent they only cook with vegetable oil I've never had any issues of orders over 20 different of food and each one taste different unlike a lot of the Chinese restaurants here in Columbus where they just fry the hell out of every food this place is really cool I like their service and it more community oriented. Even if you don't see anybody eating in there they have a lot of take out orders. read more

While the food was good, the service left a lot to be desired. After calling the Oder in and told it would be ready in 10 minutes, I arrived to be told it would be up soon. Total wait time, with phone call, was 35 minutes! And, there was an error with the order. I couldn't bear the idea of driving back over. Beware on busy nights! read more

As far as serving size and price go I am not disappointed when I visit joy to go. I usually do not wait too long and the taste is better than what you would get a most fast food Chinese places. You also get cool containers that are reusable. Sometimes, you will get some old chicken or rice that has been made for a while, but most times they do enough business to keep product rolling. You will not spend 20 dollars on one dish here and you will be plenty full. Some times you may even have left overs depending on your appetite. I am 235 and I only finish a full dish in one serving in one sitting after I work out and have intermitted fasted all day. read more

Fantastic food, I have yet to be disappointed by joy to go. Price isn't bad and speed of service is quick. Only complaint is for the staff to be more personable. read more

This place has something against me and my workers. We call from the store phone and put orders are fucked, we call from our phones and our orders are perfect. At the end of it all it feels like they have our store number saved and they mess up our orders if that number calls. Anything from uncooked chicken, to still hard or over cooked rice.. this store is horrible read more
