No one was in the restaurant when we sat down but had a steady stream of to go orders. Menu is very extensive. I purposely asked the server if the Hunan and the Szechwan were very hot. She said yes. So I went with the Hunan Combination and Hot and Sour Soup. . My friend got the beef lo mein and an order of veggie dumplings. The dumplings were very cold and doughy. The soup was decent and lots of tofu. My Hunan Combo was not at all spicy. Very bland. My friend was not a fan of her lo mein as well. The win is if you are hungry, come here. The portion sizes were huge. Enough for two people per dish. Ambiance was a bit dark and not inviting. Probably won't be visiting this place again. read more

This is my second review for Joy Food One. I have to tell you the Salt and Pepper shrimp at the largest shrimp I've ever seen at virtually any Chinese restaurant in the country. The taste was amazing. My friend ordered Egg Foo Yung and he said it was also amazing and the shrimp there were also huge. And all portions are very generous. I really should leave photos but when the food arrives, it looks so good you forget everything except digging in! read more

I have been going here for over 4 years and I have to say, their quality has never gone down. Portions? Generous Flavor? Overflowing Steak? Juicy Sauces? Saucyyyy I recommend this place to everyone and there is nothing that ever goes wrong with their dishes. It is always at its' best throughout these years and their prices have been very reasonable. And to top it off, their hot chili oil??? Chefs kiss 10/10 It is absolutely worth it after a day of cleaning around or running errands and all you want to do is enjoy dinner at home with a hot, delicious meal. The dining room is how I remembered it, big blue booths and the lovely mural on the wall This is still a GREAT place for lunch! They have lunch specials (see menu picture I pinned to this review). It comes with wither and egg roll or soup. I wanted chicken, but not fried and it had to have a lot of vegetables. The owner suggested Szechuan chicken. When I got it home it looked like hardly any vegies but oh wowzers-- the vegies were burried under the rice and the mushrooms were so fresh! I wish I had gotten the soup. The egg-roll was a bit dry and they managed to forgot to put in the sauce to dip it in. Also left out the fortune cookie. Was kind of sad about that, too. I am not a big Chinese Takeout fan, but I had a taste for it so why not. Well I will tell you. I ordered vegetable fried rice, spring roll and egg drop soup. For as much rice and little to no veggies they gave one soy sauce packet so the food was dry. The spring roll was meh, and I didn't even eat the soup. read more

I love the house special egg pho young. The beef sauce is more sweet than normal but tasty. The rice was nice and fresh. The portion size is enough to last for days I loved the egg drop soup. Shrimp with lobster sauce was good-- four jumbo, tender shrimp. Fried rice was good. Egg roll was good (not greasy this time). I do not eat Chinese food as much anymore, so I will continue to try different restaurants to find the best. HIGH key impressed with this business. I went in to pick up my lunch today and holy cow are they taking Covid seriously. They have a whole barrier built up between them and the world. Food was delicious, except my egg roll could have been drained a little longer before packing as egg roll was oily on outside and in wrapping bag...but still delicious after I wipe the oil off. Other than that, my egg foo young was delicious, although the sauce was different from what I am used to. I think I will order veggie next time instead of pork, as it had a little too much meat in it for me. Fried rice was delicious. I will definitely return. Only drawback was that I was told the wait would be 30 minutes...never have I had to wait that long at other take-out Chinese restaurants--must have been super busy. I dropped one star because all Chinese restaurants that I have ever been to, have always provided condiments, utensils, and fortune cookies in bag...I received none of these. read more

However, they've all water down and over cooked everything so many times I am not going back to them ever again. While reasonably priced, we ordered the sweet and sour chicken and there were no veggies (green peppers, onions or carrots), the sauce was a bit thick, the chicken was salty and a bit off texturely once it was bitten into. I'm baffled by any negative reviews on here. This place has been my favorite Asian takeout for years. The quality and portion size is amazing compared to other spots. The egg rolls are slightly too greasy but you and blot them with a paper towel! I swear people will complain about anything.They're enormous and cheaper than all the other spots I've had them. They offer yum yum sauce which is never an option in other places. I've never had a bad meal from these guys. I use to be very happy with this restaurant. The prices keep going up but menu doesn't reflect. I just got home to find my order missing the soup that was to come with my 15.00 meal. Stopped at this mini plaza off Morse rd. And saw this place. I had very low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. And glad to be wrong. Had the Hunnanan combo and my buddy had fried shrimp. The protein meats, chicken, beef, shrimp were amazing. The breading on the shrimp was perfect. And I really mean that. It was very lightly breaded yet crisp.
