Actually, 3 1/2 or four stars, food-wise, for what it is. 2 stars for ambience. I needed something quick and on my way. But I didn't want fast food. I've seen this before when I get down this way, so I stopped in, and it was pretty darn quick. And very good, for what it is. It's a hole in the wall in a strip mall. There is one table inside, but it is really a carryout only place. And cash only. Canned pop, flimsy plasticware. But, friendly service, with all the usual suspects on the menu. Came up fast and was pretty good and was a huge portion. I got the sesame chicken lunch portion. She said it's a little spicy, and it is, a teeny tiny bit. But I like spice so, YMMV. Comes with soup. I picked egg drop because I like it, but they also had wonton, and hot and sour. Opened the box and there was a ton of rice, pretty good fried rice in my case, and a ton of chicken. Pretty darn good chicken. Not gristly or chewy. Crunchy where it didn't have any sauce on it, and decent where it was in the sauce. And a good sauce, not overly salty or sweet or anything. Just flavorful. Appropriate for the menu item. It was good. The soup was good, but nothing special. But for $10, I was stuffed, quickly, with pretty good food. I would definitely go back. read more

I've lived near this spot for about 6 years and I had never tried it. While getting prepared to watch Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs beat the Bengals, I decided to place an order. I had been craving some chicken wings and fried rice, so I ordered just that. They informed me during my call to place the order that they are cash only. The customer service was great and the food was ready in about 10 minutes. I ordered the wings and beef fried rice. You get 5 wings and the rice for 10 bucks. The wings are a nice size and have a nice flavor to them. The rice was also good, but next time I will try chicken fried or shrimp fried rice. The menu sounded promising, with over fifty different dishes and different styles like Szechuan, Hunan and Cantonese. The restaurant was clean, the kitchen new with updated menus and signage. I didn't smell the food when I walked in, and should have known not to try it, but I wanted Chinese food so badly. The Egg Roll was decent but nothing to write home about, the Vegetable and Steamed rice were perfect, the Sweet and Sour Chicken was tough and hard to eat and it tasted like the oil was old, the Egg Foo Young was a bit soggy and the gravy wasn't flavorful, finally the General Tso's Chicken was spicy but seasoned for spicy not flavor. This wasn't the worst Chinese food but it wasn't the best. Egg foo young was dry and overcooked, the sauce with it was ok and at least helped moisten things up. Curry beef was fine, the curry sauce, while pretty thin, was good. Beef was chewy and mostly inedible. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. I purchased shrimp fried rice . I got my rice home it was a joke I had 6 medium size shrimp a few bamboo shoots. My rice tan color didn't look like it had no soy sauce in it. Just garbage!!!! read more

Their Hot and Sour Soup is decent, and insanely cheap! I like that it had a good amount of filling, including tofu and bamboo shoots. I also got the Schezuan Style Bean Curd, which is fried tofu with broccoli and baby corn in a mild sweet and spicy sauce. I loved this dish! I have been searching for a dish like this ever since moving to Ohio. Their other items look like the standard Americanized Chinese food you find anywhere. Drove all the way there to find out you have to use cash which I didn't have. I won't use an ATM that charges crazy fees they had in their store either. I left with no food. Ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken for lunch today and was deeply disappointed. First off all I got was fried rice, the chicken that was fried too long and sweet-and-sour sauce no vegetables at all. Talk about a very disappointing lunch. To have to pay $11.50 with this meal and the iced tea makes me not want to go there anymore. A one star rating for this restaurant is way too high. Great Wall has the best General Tso's Chicken! They have a large, inexpensive and tasty menu. My family ordered from here a lot because you can get a variety of dishes for a reasonable amount of money and still have leftovers.
