The mala shrimp was absolute fire . This is the first time I've ever eaten here. I do not live in Columbus, but I will return for sure.

So the egg roll hype got to me so I did the hour round trip to Asian Kitchen near Easton. Got 4 rolls (2 in freezer now) steamed dumplings, wonton soup, hot sour soup, and twice cooked pork. Egg rolls. Yep, worth the drive. Wish they were fist busting size like the old days. But they fit the bill well. Fresh hot mustard raised the bar. Dumps. Owner tried to talk me into frying them. I said nope. Nice old school chewy dough exterior, the filling was ample tho a bit bland. The vinegar dipping sauce brought em back to life. Soups. No complaints. The wonton broth was quite savory, nice plump wontons along with sliced char su and mushrooms. Hot and sour had a good deep taste and an ok amount of ingredients. Needed a lil more fire. Twice cooked pork. Saving it for later but looks legit. Lots of tasty cabbage which is the signature. Though the use of char su instead of pork loin is off target I suspect it will be ok. Still miss the Hunan House version that left their menu a few years back. I'll go back one day and try some other stuff, their salt pepper wings and shrimp toast and fried rice dishes looked good in photos. read more

Tried this place out on Christmas Eve with my husband. We both got the Pad Thai and each got an egg roll and we shared the general Tso's chicken. Generous portions, we had tons of leftovers but everything was absolutely delicious! Surprised that the reviews were not higher here. I always get the Combo Egg Foo Young, which is the best in the city. Three LARGE egg patties, with a very tasty chicken based gravy. Been a few years and the world has changed (back, mostly) so time for an update. We've been coming here for 12-13 years I think. I've worked my way through almost the whole menu (not a big seafood fan so have only tried some of that.) Every dish I've gotten has been good, from crab Rangoon up to the strangest authentic stuff. They have a Chinese menu, and of course all the usual suspects on the main menu. Good lunch specials. Good service. Decent prices. Mainly carryout, I think, but I've eaten there and they get a crowd at lunchtime and in the early evening. Closed Sundays, so sometimes, like today, I go Saturday night and get enough to have leftovers for tomorrow. Baby K is not a big fan of Chinese food, so we stop at Subway right next door, or Sonic, and grab her something. Also a Mexican place on the other side, and pizza and wings nearby, so if everyone wants something different it's not too complicated. read more

I stayed overnight in a hotel near the airport to catch a VERY early flight out of town, and wanted to dine out (rather than eat in my room) so this seemed like a good, nearby option. Well... It WAS a good option, but even on a busy Friday night, dine in was not available (no wait staff), so I wound up slurping up my delicious dan-dan noodles with chicken back in my room, at the desk... (Life's tough all over....!!) There are PLENTY of tempting choices here, and they had a really steady flow of customers coming in for pick up, many who appeared to be regulars, which is always a good sign. Lots of standard Chinese and pan-Asian options; I decided to go for the not-so-easy-to-find (where I live in Springfield...) dan-dan noodles with chicken, which could have fed me dinner that night and lunch the next day!! PERFECT spice level (IMO) but a bit on the spicy side, if you're not ready for that. I ordered crab rangoon also, which was good, but if all their entrees are as big as the DD noodles, you might not have room for apps. Should've went with my first choice...ughh ordered Magaloian Beef and added broccoli. Also, had a spring roll. The food was NOT flavorful at all. Added a ton of soy sauce. It was supposed to have Magaloian Brown Sauce but was barely any. The rice tasted old. My food was NOT cooked fresh. The spring was also NOT fresh. Wasted $16+ dollars, gas, and calories. This place! I LOVE IT! I am very picky and most of the time when I see high Yelp ratings, I am frequently disappointed, especially when it has to do with Chinese food. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I moved in the neighborhood and decided to try this restaurant. I have been here many times. The service is professional, sometimes friendly, but never unfriendly. I've never eaten inside, but when I go to pick up the food the inside is always very clean. I never have to wait for my food either, it's always ready when I order. I have mainly ordered egg rolls, spring rolls, singapore noodles, shrimp fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. I have ordered food for my cousins a few times and they had mongolian beef and chicken lo mein. They were just as happy with the food as I am. Love, love, love this place. Spicy pork chop has always been my go to dish. NOT anymore the Spicy fish prepared the same way is AMAZING. My new favorite. WORST MEAL EVER!! I thought I would give Asian kitchen a try since it was on route to the VA center. Reviewers praised it and a few friends liked it. I ordered General Tso Chicken. Chicken was overcooked, hard as a brick. What was called fried rice was quite bland. Phoned and requested new order, graciously offered to replace the meal. The second serving wasn't much better. The chicken wasn't quite as hard but was quite stringy (yuck), and the sauce was much too thick. Sorry but I question the taste buds of some of the reviewers and my friends. $10 wasted!!! I was looking for a nice sit down restaurant for dinner after picking my wife up from the airport. I found Asian Kitchen close to the airport (2 miles) and it looked appealing. It is nestled in a strip mall and unassuming from the front. It has a very nice menu and is very diverse in offerings. We started with the pork dumplings and shrimp toast. After that, we ordered Basil Chicken and the House Special Lomein. Both were large portions and expertly prepared. Everything we had was well made and packed full of flavor. We will definitely be back again and explore more of the menu. We are very excited to try more of what Asian Kitchen has to offer!! read more

Asian Kitchen had some positive reviews so I rolled the dice and said "why not!" This place also seems to serve multiple (Chinese) Asian cuisines as well as Thai dishes. This place was pretty good! I officially give it 3 1/2 Stars. This is based on that I only ordered one dish - Chicken with Garlic Sauce. I was also pleasantly surprised that they snuck in a free box of steamed rice! I've been to many a Chinese restaurants and the elusive steamed rice is conveniently left out and labeled a extra cost "side dish." I'm willing to come back and try more dishes. Someone's in on the secret here about how good the food is in this typical on the outside - not so typical on the inside upscale casual strip mall Asian restaurant is. The Gong Bao Xia ie the authentic Chinese version of Kung Pao Shrimp was different, flavorful and very good. Just picture a lot more peanuts, a ton of chilis and a lot less sauce than the American style. As usual with most Asian restaurants, the portion was huge so it was a very good value lunch. Their Chicken Wings were hot and spicy and are definitely recommended. You'll find there's plenty of interesting dishes to choose from with their authentic menu and for those who prefer the Chinese American dishes, there's the usual stuff too. Their lunch specials look interesting so don't forget to check them out too. As usual, it was a good choice for lunch with Anna H. who seemed to enjoy her tofu dish. Was told that, he took 10% off for carry out and it would cost extra to eat here and plus tip for the waitress. Carryout is this spots bread & butter. There are constantly doing carryout business. So why have they not perfected it? Employees even verbally complain about each other. "He didn't even get a name". "She didn't put in the order correct". They use a computer. There is so much software available to make ordering correct. They could even get a service to do online ordering for them. I would believe that all the food delivery services that I see, would probably appreciate order accuracy. Dine in was mediocre service. The tables were dirty and not bused. Even after they cleaned ours, we had the privilege of dining with the scenery of dirty tables around us for the entire visit. It's off-putting when a server picks up a pitcher of water from one of these tables to refill your glass. Now imagine the sauce and crumbs, sticking to the bottom of the vessel, that is hovering above your plate. I was not pleased with my average tasting food on that visit. Several guests had delicious meals that I tasted. Back to carryout visits. My favorite is the same as others mention. Hot Spicy Chicken Wings (10 pcs) Breaded deep-fried chicken wings sauteed with green onion and chili peppers($8.95). Served with side of rice. When I first heard that I must try these, I made the mistake of seeing the appetizer version of 4pc chicken wings($4.50). I ordered 4 of these by phone, saying "Hot Spicy Chicken Wings". Yep! that was a $36 mistake. Oh well, they were delicious. Be aware that these are not wet wings. These deep fried, battered wings are seasoned and shaken with spices and chili peppers. The rice was embarrassing. Fried is slightly brown with overly salty soy sauce. A very minor smattering of peas, egg, green onion, if at all. The white was sticky, firm, and unwilling to separate. Many under-cooked, crunchy pieces. I think I need to switch to a noodle dish. Good, not the best. The wings really bump this an entire star. read more

Picture trying to sustain yourself with some Asian cooking in between 14 hour long rave shifts. That was me every time I dragged my body into Asian Kitchen for their lunch special, just barely conscious. The first time I got the chicken with broccoli. So good! You can add a soup or egg roll for $1 and I did just that. Love hot and sour soup. For about $10, it's a quick and easy way to eat before going back on rave duty. I came back again after the last day and the kung pao chicken was not as impressive. The server also gave me the check while I was actively chewing with half the plate of food on my plate and never refilled my water after it sat empty for a long time. First, ordered the Pad Thai, and please know it is spicy! I can do spice, husband cannot, and had to forgo eating it for dinner because of the spice. Also, we order Pad Thai a lot, having lived in 5 different states, and never had it prepared with beef, chicken and shrimp. So, being pescatarians, this didn't work for us either.
