This place is always consistently good. Quick food that you only wait 15 minutes to pick up. Everything on the menu isn't mind blowing, however your staples are always very good like the mu shu or sweet and sour chicken. This was a horrible experience. I ordered Grubhub. Not only was the order late but they didn't included eating utensils in the bag. On top of that the Triple Delight had no flavor. I couldn't taste any seasoning. How do you make food this bad? I also tried the curry beef. I just threw it away. So disappointed! First time experience at this place, and an interesting one at that. Placed our takeout order through the phone. When I spoke with the teenage girl who took our order I purposely spoke very slowly and gave her it by the numbers on their menu and the descriptions to verify the order. The lady owner was very nice. I left with our food, and for the sake of it checked it a couple of miles down the road. I found out that the order was wrong, and that for one entree they gave us fried rice instead of the lo mein that we ordered. Not sure how this could happen considering how carefully I placed our order. Went back and the owner took care of this and corrected the issue. Now the food itself which was very disappointing. For the three lo mein and two fried rice dishes what we got were mostly only noodles and rice with no noticeable vegetables in any of these and they ALL had very, very little proteins. The shrimp themselves were extremely small and there were few of them. The same with the chicken and beef. Our experience elsewhere with lo mein is that we usually get it with vegetables like carrots, broccoli, onions, snow peas, etc. None of these were to be found. Will not go back as it's not worth paying the prices just for noodles and rice. Just a very unpleasant experience as a whole and not one thing that would compel us to go back. read more

I ordered this for dinner last night and I'm still confused. We ordered delivery and my husband got general tso's chicken which he said was very good. We also got crab Rangoon which was decent, plenty of filling and good size. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered chow mein. What I received was onions, celery and a small amount of chicken in a watery, surprisingly tasty sauce. Cheap Chinese. Hong Kong Restaurant is a mostly takeout restaurant that's better than it looks. It's not terrible even though it's yet another Chinese place in a strip mall. It's possible to dine in. There's never anyone inside though. I got a takeout order from here. For me I had the General Tso's Tofu. It's about $8 for the only size portion. It's like the dinner size for the rest of the menu. There is a lunch special where you can get smaller size entrees, but this isn't included in these. Other items ordered were Sesame Chicken and Szechuan Bean Curd. The other entrees looked typical. The Szechuan Bean Curd was the soft kind of tofu. I like the crispy styles and not the kind that looks like it wasn't even cooked I'm glad I didn't get this. The best thing are the prices. It's pretty cheap. The quality is good for the tofu. read more

Their wonton soup (mix it with egg drop soup for a great combo), bbq spareribs, pork fried rice and lo mein, egg roll and fried wonton appetizer bring me back to childhood in NYC. We stopped by this place on a day of Christmas shopping. COVID has taken a terrible toll on small restaurants and businesses. This place was dead empty when we came in. We were in the mood for dumplings so we wanted to dine in. I got the dumplings in hot chili oil and the beef pad thai. The dumplings were absolutely amazing! The hot chili oil was truly the star of the dish. My boyfriend and I were obsessed with it. My pad thai dish had a generous portion size as well. My boyfriend got the general tso's chicken and he said it was exactly what he wanted. I can't wait to go back here because I literally dream about the dumplings! read more

Was looking for a Chinese place that delivered, and I had ordered at this restaurant before, so I was expecting essentially the same service and quality of food that I had before. I could understand the person I was speaking to on the phone while placing my order which was a bonus because the last time I ordered from them, I am almost certain I was speaking to a child. Our food arrived quickly, but the Kung Po Chicken (which was supposed to be spicy) was not at all spicy. There was so much chopped vegetables and so little chicken in it despite ordering an extra order of chicken with it, that it was more like a Ratatouille. We literally could not find any decent pieces of chicken in the whole dish. The steamed dumplings which are usually my favorite were replaced by dumplings that were half the size of the ones they used to have (about the size of walnuts). The fried rice tasted like cardboard and was pretty much inedible. I would have called back to let them know about these complaints, but they had just closed for the evening following my delivery. On the plus side, the service was very courteous and the delivery was quick. Unfortunately, with the quality of food we received, we will be looking for another Chinese restaurant to deliver or will make the sacrifice of driving out to pick up from someplace better like Siam Orchid or Thai Orchid from now on. read more

We've gotten take out from Hong Kong Restaurant multiple times. It's close and relatively fast. However, this past time really takes the cake for bad service. We ordered a combination plate of beef and mixed veg with fried rice and chicken fried rice for me. What we got was near laughable. My chicken fried rice was literally chicken, onion, green onion, and rice. That's it. No vegetables, nothing to give it color and no egg. It was also incredibly greasy, possibly undercooked, and just overall unappetizing. The husband's wasn't terrible, but somehow we were given the quart size order of beef with mixed veg and another carton of fried rice, even though I specified the combination plate with fried rice. His fried rice was even sadder as it was only rice - nothing else. The beef was okay, but it was mostly vegetables and not a lot of beef, with the majority of those vegetables being broccoli and onion. I'm giving two stars because we have had okay food from them in the past, but it seems every time we order take out or delivery, there's something that's just not up to par. read more

Cleanest Chinese take out food I've ever had - minimal grease and feeling nasty-ness. Flavors were as good as any typical take out venue but was done at lightning speed (~10 min, slightly sketchy) and family and I felt good after eating it. Hong Kong is conveniently located on Hard Road (where there are many apartment complexes and neighborhoods nearby). The portions are HUGE. My husband can usually get two meals out of a single order and I can stretch it to three. The employees are friendly and they usually offer useful coupons in the mail every so often. I could taste a little of the flavor, but I've had way better. I wouldn't order this again. I finished it off and moved onto #2... I open the box and it looks good. Pull the first piece out, and turns out it was mostly fat. No big deal... Next piece, fat. Third, a little meat attached to fat... Taste is very bland with very little flavor. Almost slightly sweet (in a bad way), I've had way better. Won't order again.. #3 was the saving grace. It was pretty good with decent flavor (at least compared to the other stuff). Good high school memories here! They've been here for a very very long time and had some remodeling done over the years so this place is obviously doing pretty well and made a name for themselves in this area (in my opinion). I order from hong kong on a regular basis. They have boneless ribs (hard to find in ohio it seems- im from Massachusetts.) and they are pretty decent... pretty fatty and greasy- but I don't mind the grease at all. if your ordering boneless spare ribs.. you shouldn't either..lol. The food overall is pretty good. I love the house lo-mein its got plenty of meat and veggies. The apps are very very cheap , and the service is pretty quick. if I have any complaint at all it is that the chicken wings are maybe.. too authentic. lol. there have ben times when I have plucked a few feathers off. akward... but they still tasted great. and this is only maybe twice- out of the dozens of times I ordered. everything I have tried is pretty good.
