This was a horrible experience. I ordered Grubhub. Not only was the order late but they didn't included eating utensils in the bag. On top of that the Triple Delight had no flavor. I couldn't taste any seasoning. How do you make food this bad? I also tried the curry beef. I just threw it away. So disappointed! This is officially the worst Chinese restaurant food I've ever had.

I ordered this for dinner last night and I'm still confused. We ordered delivery and my husband got general tso's chicken which he said was very good. We also got crab Rangoon which was decent, plenty of filling and good size. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered chow mein. What I received was onions, celery and a small amount of chicken in a watery, surprisingly tasty sauce. No noodles...I'm still quite confused as I've never had chow mein before but I know what I ordered was not it. See pic. We might order from them again but certainly not chow mein!

Cheap Chinese. Hong Kong Restaurant is a mostly takeout restaurant that's better than it looks. It's not terrible even though it's yet another Chinese place in a strip mall. It's possible to dine in. There's never anyone inside though. I got a takeout order from here. For me I had the General Tso's Tofu. It's about $8 for the only size portion. It's like the dinner size for the rest of the menu. There is a lunch special where you can get smaller size entrees, but this isn't included in these. Other items ordered were Sesame Chicken and Szechuan Bean Curd. The other entrees looked typical. The Szechuan Bean Curd was the soft kind of tofu. I like the crispy styles and not the kind that looks like it wasn't even cooked I'm glad I didn't get this. The best thing are the prices. It's pretty cheap. The quality is good for the tofu.

    (1) I had been looking for a Chinese restaurant in my area for quite some time. This place was exactly what I was looking for. The service was quick and they have taken COVID precautions very seriously. You are able to pick up you to go order through a plexiglass system! I like this because, you are not in direct contact with them. As fo the food, the fires rice was amazing. The portions were perfect and everything was hot and ready within the timeframe suggested. I will be back when the craving arises for sure. Grade: A-

    Dumplings in hot chili oil

We stopped by this place on a day of Christmas shopping. COVID has taken a terrible toll on small restaurants and businesses. This place was dead empty when we came in. We were in the mood for dumplings so we wanted to dine in. I got the dumplings in hot chili oil and the beef pad thai. The dumplings were absolutely amazing! The hot chili oil was truly the star of the dish. My boyfriend and I were obsessed with it. My pad thai dish had a generous portion size as well. My boyfriend got the general tso's chicken and he said it was exactly what he wanted. I can't wait to go back here because I literally dream about the dumplings!

When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)

Quick and attentive service. We started with crispy dumplings (6), crispy egg rolls (2), and a scallion pancake. Bing, their crepe, wasn't available our night. My dining companions loved the pancake - for me perhaps a bit too much drizzled sauce. It was helpfully quartered when brought to the table so sharing was easy. The dumplings were indeed crispy and probably my favorite with a standard dark dipping sauce. The egg rolls were standard and perhaps a bit undersized and over fried, but a good creamy dipping sauce was a pivot away from the sweet chili sauce that usually accompanies such apps. Ramen is clearly the focus of the menu and three of us had ramen with chicken and one with pork. They spoke favorably of the broth and the combos of mushrooms, boiled egg, greens. I had the rice vermicelli with chicken that they called a salad. I was expecting the classic Vietnamese staple but this one had some adaptations, perhaps to a fusion or one might say less ethnic nod. Small things but the ample portion served in a small bowl made it hard to mix the rice noodles, lettuce, carrot, cucumber and chicken that is a common approach to the dish after drowning all the ingredients in both sweet sauce (nuoc cham), siracha and/or hoisin sauce. It only came with the nuoc cham. They brought Siracha when I asked for it, but I'm a fan of having these condiments on the table standard. Again, had the sense that the business lunch crowd that is probably the primary audience isn't likely to be as focused on the more authentic ingredients. The chicken was also not grilled and sliced but had a pleasant preparation. Just know it won't be the charred flavor that is so common. Finally, not to obsess on this one dish, but cutting the lettuce leaves more would enable easier chop sticks combos of the ingredients in single bites. Overall it worked for us. I am definitely the most focused on (my companions would say obsessed) on connection to what these dishes should be. If adaptations work well for you, Tiger+Lily likely will as well.

We were greeted and seated quickly and service was very friendly. As we were hungry, we took a mi Ute to decide what to order. We had planned on storm fish, but made a last minute decision to Sichuan sliced beef (we loveeee a numbing pepper!) with starts of egg roll and spicy wontons. Seriously those wontons are one of the best things in the whole city. They're SO good I could eat a few orders of those alone and be happy. Egg rolls are nice, but just a simple egg roll. Nicely crispy and tasty with the spicy mustard. The Sichuan sliced beef was the perfect thing for a chilly rainy dinner. We love spicy so I'm a bad judge of heat level, but this is spicy but a numbing spicy. Lovely spooned over steamed rice. The cabbage and bean sprouts were my favorite bits in this dish because they added a crunch. Might ask for extra next time!

Plus, I figured hibachi can take awhile, and I usually don't have a long time for lunch. Today I had a little more time, and I made a point to head over. It is a bit out of the commercial sprawl at the corner. Look for the food truck, that's the first thing I saw, and it helped me find where to turn in. I wasn't sure if there would be dine in, but there is, plenty of seating inside and out. Inside there are seats at the counter, plus booths, plus I think a couple tables. Menu is pretty basic: hibachi and a few sides. I got steak and chicken, with fried rice, and you pick two vegetables so I picked cabbage and bean sprouts. You get a Yum Yum sauce, and you can add others, but I didn't need them. And the sauce container they gave me was plenty big. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked in a nice sauce. The fried rice was great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And it all came out in about five minutes. They had a steady stream of carry out customers, but they still got mine on the grill, apparently as soon as I ordered it. Fast and good, and competitively priced for hibachi. A big portion, but not a huge, two days' worth of leftovers portion. But I was stuffed and couldn't finish it all. When I saw the drink cooler with just water and a few juices, I figured I'd have to go with those, but they do have fountain drinks. And they actually have a pretty good variety, cola, diet cola, cream soda, blueberry, cherry I think, and a few others. Anyway, several pleasant surprises, the food lived up to its reputation, I was in and out fast, and for not a whole lot of money in this day and age. I will be back.
