THE TASTY FOOD ISN'T WORTH DEALING WITH THE RUDE MATRIARCH The food is great, but the service is HORRIBLE! This is the first negative review I've ever left, but I have finally reached my limit with this place. It doesn't matter how friendly and courteous you are, the owners (?) are extremely rude. I'm pretty sure this is a family-run restaurant, and I feel like I've watched their kids grow up. The older lady that usually takes the orders acts like she despises anyone that isn't Asian, but in contrast, the young lady (her daughter?) is very warm and welcoming. What's the saying? " ... and the children shall lead them"? Get rid of the mean lady, put the young adults in charge, and they'd be packed! As I said, the food is wonderful, and if they treated their customers with just a little bit of kindness and appreciation, maybe their parking lot wouldn't be so empty all the time. When I ordered my food the cashier quickly went from register to a mini freezer with an ungloved hand and grabbed my frozen egg roll and tossed it into the fryer right in front of me then went back to the register. Service was just that, no above/beyond comments to add. Yep: standard menu. HOWEVER, the time was just after 6pm.... you would think a good plan would be to sell fresh food in orders? OLD rice, stale crab rangoons & wonton. Wonton soup was what I expected. Sweet & sour chicken dinner was thrown in the trash after 5 or so bites. Lesson learned!! read more

Just off the highway and yelped this place. Not bad at all. The soup wasn't terrific but the spicy chicken and dumplings were very good. Overall it was a pretty good experience and we did much better than a lot of other random stops on the road. It's really disappointing to me to leave this review. I'm not doing so to make this restaurant look bad but to sort of point out how far they've fallen off of what they used to deliver. We've been away for a few years and are in town visiting family and friends. We went to Peking House for our favorite dish, extra hot and spicey Szechuan, won ton soup and fried pot stickers. This was our go to place when we lived in the area...now, I won't be coming back. Cold, reheated dishes...even the soup was barely above room temperature...it's sad this place used to be really good. read more

I'll admit, I'm a Chinese food snob. I was raised with a great uncle & mom's cousins who cooked at Chinese restaurants all my life. I ordered the broccoli and beef combo. The broccoli & beef wasn't what I expected, but it was okay. The fried rice wasn't the best, but when mixed with the beef & broccoli it wasn't too bad. The egg rolls though? I love egg rolls! I always order extra for lunch the next day. I regretted doing so, as I didn't even finish the first one. Now I've paid for egg rolls I'll never eat. I won't be returning. It's your typical cookie cutter, mom and pop place with the standard pictures of some of their dishes lit up on the wall (I guess in case a neanderthal comes in - grunt and point)? It's the standard menu you find at most of the other strip mall Chinese food joints that have sprung up like dandelions in my yard....well like last year anyways. Are these franchises? I'm beginning to think so, they are so much alike it's scary. Just slight variations on colors and minor variations on set up. Anyways, it's a counter service place, order and they will bring your food out to you. They did serve mine on an actual plate which was nice. (I was expecting styrofoam). I got the combo Szechuan Chicken, fried rice and egg roll. All were very good. Szechuan Chicken was flavorful with a nice variety of veggies and plenty of that spongy chicken you find in these places. Fried Rice was excellent! Lots of scallions, onions, bean sprouts and lots and lots of that mysterious magenta and purple pork. The egg roll was light and crispy, golden brown. Enough here for two people so I've got some for tonight after work. Cost? With a bottle of water....about $9.50. A little higher than most but the food was good and the place was clean. Only little irritation was the family hanging out in the dining room. Well behaved kids but one of the kids was asleep in the booth across from me.....culture difference I guess as I've seen this before in family owned Chinese restaurants. read more

This Asian-American restaurant is one of my favorite that I have been to of its kind. Whenever I am here the food is always hot and tastes delicious. The lunch specials are good, big serving for a very fair price and when dining in come on a nice porcelain plate. The only issue I have had with the place is that one time I was given the wrong order, but it was resolved when they called me and apologized and said next time I could have a free dish. One of My favorite Asian food place in 43123. It's close to freeway 71 South. The food is delicious. Price and portions comparable to other places. I usually order for my family Chicken and Broccoli garlic sauce, Beef and Broccoli Garlic, fresh Broccoli is used..War Su Gai all very good, fresh tasting ingredients. Sometimes Cashew Chicken or Sweet n Sour Chicken very good. Spring rolls Egg Rolls I think there just good. I order a quart Hot n Sour Soup for me . It is my go to food in the winter. When I don't feel well, I sip this. I feel better! We often order via cellphone when we are within 20 minutes of home for carry out and we only wait to pay. Our food is hot. In other words, they are busy with dine in and other carry out orders. I've never had a bad experience. Dining room is plastic dinettes with benches. No frills. For dinner tonight I ordered beef and Fried Rice. I was very dissatisfied after I got it home. The Rice was dry and had no been sprouts. I think they added extra onion to make up for it. First off, the price is ridiculous. It taste identical to a Chinese buffet, only they charge you about triple the amount by the time you're done. On top of that, my stomach can tolerate even the worst, yet any time I eat anything from here, I'm sick in an hour. I'm not the only one, either. Some of the strongest stomachs in Ohio can't tolerate it. Not to mention if you WATCH them prepare the food (considering you can see the entire kitchen), you can see the unsanitary conditions - which are likely what leads to the food poisoning. If you want a Chinese Takeout Restaurant that is a little cleaner, safer and overall BETTER (though the prices are about the same) go about 4 miles to High Street.
